The ceiling was changed to look like a starry winter night sky, tiny snowflakes falling around everyone as they danced. Soft music played throughout the Great Hall and couples pulled each other closer, relishing in the time they had with one another.

But you didn't see any of the other people dancing, all you saw was the taller redhead standing in front of you with his arms wrapped around you.

George smiled softly down at you, tightening his arms around you as he leaned in slightly, placing his forehead against yours.

"Have I told you how beautiful you look tonight?" He mumbled, pressing a soft kiss to the tip of your nose before pulling back to look at you.

You couldn't help but laugh at his words, considering he had been complimenting you the entire night.

"Multiple times my dear, but thank you." You hummed with a grin.

George smiled back, spinning you around in his arms and dipping you a little as the song playing came to an end. You smiled happily up at him as he brought you back upright.

The two of you continued to dance the night away. Dancing to slow songs, upbeat songs, and the in-between. Eventually, the crowd began to thin out. George and you were soon one of the only couples out on the floor, other than Fred and Angelina, Ginny and Neville, and some others you didn't really recognize.

As another slow song played, George leaned in to whisper into your ear.

"Wanna get out of here, darling?"

Once he had pulled back you nodded softly up at him. Taking your hand in his, the two of you walked over to Fred and Angelina.

"We're gonna head out, I'll either see you late tonight or at breakfast tomorrow." George said to his twin, Fred nodding in understanding.

Angelina smiled at you, you automatically returning the smile. You had also been close with Angelina, ever since the two of you ended up being roommates first year. Actually, when Fred asked her to the ball George asked you too.

You smiled happily as Fred whispered to Angelina from across the table. You could see the happiness on her face when she told him she'd go to the ball with him. Right after that, you felt a paper ball hit you in the face, you slowly turned toward the direction it came from to see your boyfriend sheepishly smiling at you, obviously not having meant to hit you in the face. After muttering a small 'sorry' he grinned before whispering to you.

"Go to the ball with me love?"

You rolled your eyes, not being able to help the smile that graced your lips.

"We're already dating you dork." You said, a small laugh escaping your mouth.

"So is that a yes?" He asked, his smile growing.

You shook your head with another laugh before nodding and whispering a small 'yes'.

George cheered quietly and high fived his twin. The two quickly shut up when Professor Snape bonked them both in the heads.

You smiled at the memory, being brought back to reality by George tugging you away. Glancing up at him as you two walked, you noticed that he was already looking at you.

"What?" you asked, bringing your free hand up to feel around your face, "Is there something on my face?"

George chuckled and stopped walking, raising his other hand to cup your cheek, his hand resting on top of yours.

"Just thinking of how lucky I am..." He whispered, a look of love in his eyes.

Your face softened, your heart filling with pure adoration for the sweetheart you had the honor to call yours.

"Oh, my dear Georgie... I'm the lucky one..." You whispered, thankful for moments like these.

"You sure are dear, I'm one hell of a man." George said, a smirk on his lips.

And moment ruined.

With a sigh and a smile you shook your head, squeezing his hand as the two of you continued to exit the Great Hall. Once the two of you had walked out of the large doors, George quickly pulled you around the corner. He pushed you up against the wall, a squeal falling from your lips. You giggled as he started to pepper your exposed neck and shoulder with little kisses, making his way to your jaw and face. Grinning happily as your hands sat on his shoulders, you tipped your head back with laughs spilling from your lips. George couldn't help but smile against your jaw at the sound of your laugh. It was his favorite sound in the world. Eventually, his lips were on your face, pressing kisses to every inch of skin he could reach. But then he stopped, your lips being the only spot he hadn't touched.

"Georgie!" You whined, a pout on your lips.

George chuckled as he leaned down, kissing the pout away.

Humming into the kiss you snaked your hands around his neck, moving closer to him. George welcomed you by tightening his arms around your waist, letting his hands rest on your lower back. But, once again, the perfect moment was ruined. This time by his little brother Ron and Harry. Ron let out a groan as the sight and the two of you separated. One of George's hands stayed around your waist, stilling holding you tight. Looking up at your boyfriend, he had his jaw clenched, obviously annoyed that his younger brother had interrupted the two of you.

"Do you guys really have to do that out here? Disgusting..." Ron mumbled while Harry let out a laugh.

George sighed, not wanting to deal with this right now. He'd much rather have you pressed against the wall while the two of you made out. Or better yet, laying in his bed with your dress on the floor and his robes thrown somewhere else.

"Shove off you ignorant git." George hissed, annoyance and slight anger lacing his voice.

Ron opened his mouth to comment something back but was stopped by Harry, who had realized that the two of you really did want to be left alone.

"Let's just leave them alone Ron." Harry said, placing a hand on his friend's shoulder.

Ron looked to him, ready to argue his case, but decided to finally shut his mouth after seeing the look on Harry's face.

"Fine," Ron grumbled. "But use protection, I'm not ready to be an uncle yet. Not from you two anyways."

George rolled his eyes, mumbling something under his breath about some peace and quiet.

The two younger boys finally left and your boyfriend let out a sigh of relief, turning to you with a grin on his lips.

"Now," He said lowly, lifting the arm that wasn't around you and placing it beside your head on the wall, "Where were we?" A smirk appeared on his lips as he leaned down and barely brushed his lips against yours.

Just as the two of you were about to kiss, multiple groups of people left the Great Hall. George let out a groan and reached down to pick you up bridal style.

"Godric, can't a couple get some alone time for once?" He mumbled as he walked quickly to his dorm room.

You giggled quietly before placing a kiss to his cheek, grinning at the shade of pink that appeared when you pulled back.

Muttering the password and waiting for it to open, George carried you through the portrait entrance and raced up the stairs to his room. Letting out a sigh of relief at the empty room, he pushed the door closed behind him and muttered a wandless locking spell under his breath. He carried you over towards the bed but stopped in front of it, sitting you down to stand before him.

"Let's get that dress off ya." He murmured, finally finding the zipper and pulling it down.

You slipped your arms out of the sleeves and let the dress fall down your body, not missing the hitch in George's breath when it hit the floor.

"And I thought you were beautiful before..." He hummed, his hands coming up to caress your body.

He ran his fingers over the delicate lace that covered your chest, a look of love and pure adoration on his face.

"You are literally a goddess..." He whispered as his hands coming to rest on your hips, his thumbs rubbing soothing circles onto them.

You blushed lightly, never being able to stop the butterflies you got whenever he complimented you. Even after all these months, he still managed to mess up your head with just a few words.

He pulled away for a moment, pulling his jacket and shirt off before pulling you back into his arms.

"Darling... you're my everything... I really don't know what I would do without you Y/N. That day you took the fall for Fred and I's prank on Snape was the best day of my life. Well, it won't be my best day forever actually." He mumbled, one hand holding your head against his chest while the other rubbed your back.

You looked up at him with a confused expression on your face, your chin resting against his chest.

"What do you mean it won't be forever?"

George grinned, leaning down and laying his forehead against yours.

"Because, my darling Y/N, one day I'm going to ask you to marry me, and the one day we'll finally become husband and wife, and then you'll tell me you're pregnant with my child, and then one day we'll finally bring our little darling baby into this world. There's going to be so many best days. Everyday that I get to spend with you my dear, is the best day." George whispered, smiling down at you.

You couldn't help the tears that quickly filled your eyes, your lip beginning to tremble at his words.

"Oh love..." George said softly, pulling your head into his chest once more.

He held you for what seemed like hours, slightly swaying the two of you back and forth. After awhile, George brought the two of you over to the bed, laying down with you and pulling you close once more.

"I love you Georgie..." You whispered, the tiredness of the night's events finally hitting you.

"And I love you darling... more than you'll ever know..." He hummed, letting his chin rest on the top of your head as your eyelids fluttered shut.

George's mind moved to the small ring he had stowed away in one of his drawers, wrapped up in some sweaters. The same ring his grandmother had worn. The same ring he was going to put on your finger once the two of you left Hogwarts. The same ring that would finally make you his forever.
