Hermione frowned as she followed your line of sight, seeing you, yet again, looking at Fred and Angelina. He had his arm around her waist as he talked to his twin brother. All at once, he pulled her closer, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. Your breath hitched at that and Hermione turned to you, moving in front of you so you couldn't see Fred. Your glassy eyes locked with hers and she frowned even more.
"Oh, Y/N..." She said softly, pulling you into a tight hug.
Your chin rested on her shoulder as you let out a shaky breath. You couldn't help but open your eyes and sneak another glance at them. Although you immediately regretted it, the sight of them giving each other a quick kiss making even more tears fill your eyes. A small sob left your lips and you hugged the girl tighter, your eyes squeezing shut as you buried your face into her shoulder. What you didn't see was Fred taking a glance over Angelina's shoulder, frowning heavily at the sight of you, a pang of sadness hitting him.
You let out a small laugh as Fred pulled something over your head. Sticking your arms through the sleeves you looked down to see the familiar 'F' of one of Molly Weasley's hand-knitted sweaters. The sweater was much too big for you, the sleeves going over your hands, and the bottom of it ending around mid-thigh. Letting out a small gasp you grinned up at Fred. He mirrored your smile and took your hands in his.

"This is the one I got last Christmas. Since I'll be getting another soon I thought you should have this one. Plus it looks better on you than it ever did on me." He said, lacing your fingers together and swinging your hands lightly.
"Thank you, Fred... I love it." You said softly, the bright smile not leaving your lips.
Walking across the courtyard you smiled as the snow blew around you. Today was the last day of school before Christmas break. You were of course wearing the sweater Fred gave you, bundled up with it among other warm items to keep you toasty in the chilly winter weather. Your smile widened as you spotted Fred, picking up your pace to get to him.
You noticed he seemed to be in some sort of trance while George spoke to him, looking off to the side at something, seemingly lost in a daze. Following his eyes you frowned, spotting Angelina. Looking back to Fred, you saw his eyes were following her as she walked. You could feel tears fill your eyes as you watched the scene before you. Taking a few steps back, you gave a final glance to the girl before turning on your heel and hurrying away.
School had just resumed again after the break. It was still pretty cold out so you had on a fuzzy jacket. You didn't dare wear Fred's sweater after seeing what you had all those weeks ago. The two of you hadn't spoken since then either, you ignoring all his letters and owls. You couldn't bear the thought of talking to him when you knew how he saw the other girl. You were sitting on a bench outside, having a free period you decided to enjoy the last bits of January snow.
Looking across you noticed a familiar red-head speaking to a girl. Your heart broke as you realized it was Angelina. Fred pulled something out of his bag and unfolded it, revealing a sweater similar to the one he had given you on the third of December. It was practically identical to the one given to you, only a different color.

You couldn't help the tears that pricked your eyes as you watched him slip it over her head, the sweater engulfing her just as it had done to you.
It was now mid-February and it had finally started to get a bit warmer around Hogwarts. You still hadn't touched the sweater Fred gave you, leaving it folded up in the bottom of the trunk in front of your bed. Along with the sweater, you still hadn't spoken to Fred. He eventually stopped sending letters to you and it honestly broke your heart. Even though you never replied to him you'd still read every letter.
You walked down the hallway, a solemn look on your face with your eyes pointed to the ground. Hearing a familiar laugh you looked up, seeing Fred laughing at something Angelina had said, his arm around her shoulder.
You let out a shaky breath, not wanting to break into sobs over him for the upteenth time.
"Y/N?" You heard someone ask, making you turn around. You came face to face with George, a sad smile on his face.
"Hey..." You let out, mentally cursing yourself when your voice cracked.
George frowned slightly and pulled you into a hug. You closed your eyes, trying to keep the tears at bay.
"He's an ignorant git okay? He doesn't know what he's doing." George hummed, rubbing your back gently.
All you did was nod against him, not having the heart to reply to him.
You sat at the table in the Great Hall, picking at your food with a fork. You didn't feel like eating. You really hadn't for awhile. Your friends had noticed you'd been losing weight, all of them saying they were worried about you. But you assured all of them you were okay.
You felt someone sit beside you and you slowly looked up, locking eyes with the one and only Fred Weasley. You clenched your jaw, trying to calm yourself down.
"Can we talk?" He asked quietly, looking at you with concern in his eyes.
"Why?" You asked, your voice emotionless as you broke the eye contact and looked forward instead.
"Ron told me you haven't been eating. Y/N you know that-"
You cut him off, stabbing your fork into the steak on your plate and turning to look at him with fury in your eyes.
"I'm not eating?! That's what you came to talk about?! After all you've done you have the audacity to ask me about my eating habits?! That's low Fred, even for you." You screamed in his face, grabbing your bag and standing up before speed-walking out of the Great Hall.
Tears streamed down your face as you headed towards your common room, not stopping to talk to anyone who called out your name.
Fred continued to look at you as you broke down a couple of feet away from him. His arm loosened around Angelina's waist as the gears turned in his head. Feeling a tug on his hand he looked down, Angelina looking up at him with a confused expression on her face. Shaking his head Fred let out a sigh, tearing his eyes away from you.
Hermione pulled away from you slightly, holding you at arms length. "You're gonna be okay, okay?" She smiled softly, wanting to comfort you as much as possible.
You hesitated a little before giving her a small nod. It was gonna be hard to get over Fred Weasley, it was probably impossible to fully get over him.
But you could try. And that was good enough.

{A new notification has arrived.} In front of a few people, these hologram-looking messages appeared and changed their lives in entirely different forms. Things such as growing stronger, becoming smarter, feeling more agile, became possible within short periods of time from that point onwards. The one who regretted his weak healing abilities for years began to chase after the magic powers that could turn reason and sense upside down while keeping his goal, this duty to the wrongs he committed. The other one, who complained about his lack of strength, strove towards the path of an unbeatable champion to protect those he held dear. When the person who had everything found a path to desire for more, not fearing the consequences and the obstacles, he also began to walk onwards to a new life. And among them, the one who walked aimlessly but also never stepped down on the choices he made along the way, was the one who couldn’t be ignored nor disrespected by anyone. The “Player” system that they all obtained, and which granted them several abilities, knowledge and directions, was also the beginning of an entire new era in this world where monsters, magic and technology, were already common and wide-spread. There’s not a single hero, but after committing mistakes after mistakes, learning from the painful and thorny path that they take, and growing as people with the people that surround them, then someday... there will certainly be saviors.
