《Friends Don't》Chapter Nineteen

The next morning I woke up to what felt like a wave washing over me. I jumped up onto my knees with my arms held out looking down at my soaking wet, cold, body and then up to Grayson.
He was standing there with a bucket in his hand and a smirk on his face.
"Grayson fucking Pierce," I screamed just as the door came swinging open and Lana and Derek stood in the doorway looking between Grayson and me.
"What's going on?" Lana questioned.
I was fuming. "I'm going to fucking kill you," I told him through gritted teeth.
"Didn't you already try that yesterday morning?" He chuckled.
"Why are you soaking wet?" Derek ask me.
I sent a death glare his way and turned back to Grayson. "I'm not going to fail this time."
I lunged myself off my bed, him barely catching me, and he fell back onto the ground taking me with him. I straddled him, my hands pressing down on his shoulders. "This isn't so bad," he said with a smile, but I just glared angrily down at him.
"What happened yesterday morning?" Lana asked.
"She played some screamo music full blast, in my ear, to wake me up."
"If we knew you two were going to try and send each other into cardiac arrest we wouldn't have left you alone," Derek said.
"I'm going to take a shower." I pushed myself off of him to stand, glaring down at him one last time before heading into the bathroom.
Class was in thirty minutes so I hurried in the shower and then blow dried my hair as fast as possible, while brushing my teeth.
When I walked back in the room everyone was still there waiting on me. I caught Grayson look me up and down and then he said, "I liked you wet."
I bit the inside of my cheek. "If I wasn't still mad at you I would laugh at that."
He laughed. "C'mon, don't want to be late." He threw his arm over my shoulder and led us out of the room.
During class we went back to our normal sitting arrangement, thankful I was two people away from Grayson instead of one, or maybe he should be thankful.
After class we headed to the diner. It was only eleven-thirty but I got a burger, anyway, so I could annoy Grayson with it. He was seated beside me and every so often I would bring the burger to his face, or lean in close while I took a big bite.

Every time he tried to move over I would just move right along with him. He was pressed against the wall at this point, and I made sure to be pressed right up against him as I enjoyed my burger.
"I will sit in your lap and eat this," I told him. Usually I would have the burger eaten by now, but what fun would that be? I was making sure to eat it as slow as possible.
"Please don't," he said. His face was scrunched up as he glanced down at the burger in my hand.
I could tell he wanted to move again but the wall prevented that. "What was that?" I asked him as I leaned in closer. "You want me to sit on your lap while I enjoy this nice big juicy burger?"
"Ellie," he said.
Lana and Derek had watched us from the other side of the booth the whole meal, smiling and laughing.
"Thought you'd never ask, babe," I said and then sat on his lap. I leaned my back against the wall and took a bite, leaning my head back to the wall with my eyes closed. "Mm, this is so good," I moaned. I opened my eyes to see him staring at me. "Want a bite?" I shoved the burger in his face.
He pushed my hand away but I just brought it back. I leaned in, the burger the only thing keeping our faces apart from touching, and took a big bite letting out another moan.
He gagged before grabbing the burger from my hand and putting it down on my plate. "If I apologize for throwing water on you will you please keep that thing away from me?"
I nodded with a smile.
He sighed. "I'm sorry for throwing water on you."
"Much better." I smiled and tapped the tip of his nose. Then I slid off his lap, his one hand on my thigh and the other on my ass to help me off.
"Damn Grayson," Lana jumped in, "you must really hate burgers if you can't even enjoy a girl sitting on your lap and moaning while eating one."
"Actually," I began but stopped when I felt Grayson's hand on my thigh and his stare on me. "Never mind."
"What?" Lana asked glancing between the both of us as she took a bite of her french fry.

"Nothing," Grayson blurted out.
Apparently I wasn't going to tell them that Grayson most definitely did enjoy it. I looked down at his lap as he shifted uncomfortably, and I muffled my laugh with a bite of my burger.
After lunch we were walking down the sidewalk making our way to the shops like I had done. Lana and I were walking ahead while Derek and Grayson lingered a couple steps behind. Surprisingly the streets were almost empty, only passing by someone every minute or two.
"So, how was your weekend?" I asked her.
A smile spread across her cheeks. "It was amazing." She looked up to the sky and then back to me. "And how was yours?" She wiggled her eyebrows.
"It was okay."
Her smile fell. "Is he that bad?" she whispered.
"What?"
"Grayson." She leaned in closer. "Is he that bad at sex?"
My face twisted in confusion before it finally clicked in my brain what she meant. I started laughing. "Oh that." I turned my head to look at Grayson, who locked eyes with me when he noticed me staring at him. "He wouldn't know a g-spot if it walked right up to his dick and introduced itself."
Grayson's jaw fell as he stared wide eyed at me. Derek looked at Grayson almost feeling sorry and embarrassed for him.
I caught Lana look back at Grayson and then back to me. She wrapped her arm around my shoulder and pulled me into her. "Oh, you poor thing."
"I know." I sniffled into her chest. "Worst experience of my life."
"I'm sorry." She ran her hand down my hair.
"I thought maybe he was just nervous, but the second time was even worse than the first. He was finished before the tip even made it in." I faked a few sniffles, again, and pretended to wipe a tear from my eye.
"Ellie," Grayson said in disbelief.
"It's okay, Grayson." I sniffled some more. "I'm sure you'll get the hang of it one day."
"Ellie, that's not funny," he said.
"I'm not trying to be funny."
"We didn't even have sex!"
I scoffed. "I'll say."
"It's okay, girl." Lana rubbed my back soothingly. "You'll find someone who knows just what to do."
"I hope so," I told her.
"Oh, c'mon!" Grayson shouted in frustration.
After that conversation ended, upon Grayson mumbling under his breath for five minutes, Derek and Lana decided to go grab milkshakes.
I was headed back to my dorm building when I heard Grayson behind me say, "Ellie!" in a not so nice tone.
I picked up my pace not looking back at him, but I could hear him coming up behind me, so I took off running.
"Ellie," he yelled, again.
"Not now Grayson, I'm busy," I yelled over my shoulder.
I hit campus grounds, weaving in and out of groups of people lingering around. He was still yelling behind me to stop, but I kept running. I had just rounded the corner of a building when I felt arms on my shoulders. I was spun around and my back hit the brick wall.
Grayson kept his grip on my shoulders pressing me against the wall. "What was that?"
"What was what?" I smiled innocently.
"That was not funny." His eyes were staring deep into mine and his lips were pressed into a thin line.
"It was a little funny." My shoulders slumped as I held up my thumb and pointer finger spacing them apart just the tiniest bit to show how funny. "Just a little bit."
He shook his head. "Not even a little." I tried to bite back my laugh which irritated him even more. "Ellie," he began closing his eyes then meeting mine again after a long breath, "it's not funny."
I reached my hands up to grab his face, which was hard since he was still pressing on my shoulders. "That's what you get for throwing cold water on me."
His eyes narrowed. "I thought the burger was payback for that?"
"It was, until I felt how much you, actually, enjoyed that." I could feel his jaw tense and I laughed as I patted his cheeks. "That will teach you to throw cold water on me, again." I tried to wiggle free from him and he loosened his grip allowing me to do so. "Payback's a bitch." I winked before walking off.
