《Friends Don't》Chapter Seventeen

It was Friday and my classes were done for the week. I was in the dorm finishing up work from the week so I had the whole weekend free from it, while also waiting on Lana.
She was with Derek and they were talking things out. Thankfully. Not that I wasn't happy to spend time with Lana but I saw her every second of everyday the past few days, except for when we had class.
I had just finished the last question of some worksheet a professor had given us when the door swung open and Lana came bouncing in.
"I'm guessing things went good," I said as I watched her dance around the room.
"Great!" She ran to the closet and grabbed out a bag and started to throw clothes into it. "I'm staying the weekend over with him."
"That's cool." I watched her hastily throw things into the bag.
"Yeah and I have a huge favor to ask you."
"Go for it."
She was headed for the bathroom. "Can Grayson stay here with you?"
"Hold it," I yelled and she came to a screeching stop, but she didn't turn around to look at me.
"Yes?" Her voice was shaky.
"I know I did not just hear you correctly."
She started to spin around so slow like she was second guessing herself. "You know Derek and Grayson are roommates."
"Yeah," I said. Did I know that? Maybe. I feel like it did come up in conversation once before.
"Well, it would kind of ruin the mood with Grayson there."
I was just about to say something but the door flew open and Grayson jumped inside clutching a bag. "Roomies, again!"
"Oh, hell no." I jumped off my bed. "Lana!"
"Oh c'mon," she pleaded. "It's just the weekend, El."
I turned to Grayson. "Don't you have friends?"
"Besides you?" He tossed his bag to the side. "Only two that I would be willing to stay with. One kicked me out, and the other has Stacie stuck up his ass."
"Oh great. You can go join and all be stuck up each others asses."

His face scrunched up. "No thanks."
"Lana!"
She finished packing her bag and stood in front of the door. "For your best friend?" She gave me puppy dog eyes before sliding out the door.
I ran to the door and shouted down the hall, "you've reached your limit with the best friend card!" Then I slammed the door shut.
"So, what should we do?" Grayson said, and I turned around just in time to see him jump onto my bed and lay out with his fingers clasped behind his head.
"I can't believe this," I mumbled.
"I heard that."
"Good." I sat on the couch with my arms crossed staring at the blank television screen. "If I have to spend three nights with you we're setting some rules."
"Okay."
I stood up and walked towards him. "First of all, that's my bed."
"We can share." He wiggled his brows.
"No."
He threw his hands in the air. "Oh c'mon. The couch sucks and you can't expect me to sleep on Lana's bed."
"Why not?"
"I don't want to sleep where my best friend's dick flopped around."
"Why not?" I eyed him. "Tyler's flopped around where you're laying."
He jumped off the bed and stood disgusted. I fell onto my bed in a fit of laughter. "You should have seen your face." I tried to control my laughter. "I was kidding."
"Oh." He sat down on the edge of my bed.
"But seriously, this is my bed. And Lana washed her sheets two days ago, so you're fine."
"Fine."
"Second, no bringing your girls over here. I'm not going to have to listen to it, nor am I leaving for you to do it. Also, this is mine and Lana's stuff, don't be gross."
"Same goes for you then."
"I didn't plan on it."
"Neither did I," he said, his expression serious.
"Okay then."
"Anymore rules?"
"I don't think so."
"Okay great." He clapped his hands. "I'm going to go get us some food from that new place that opened up. I'll be back."

When he left I decided to go take a shower. It wasn't too late, yet, but late enough that I wanted to get comfy so that I could eat and lay down until I fell asleep.
I tried to make the shower quick. I forgot to bring my clothes with me since I never did when Lana was here. I wrapped a towel around me after shutting off the water and things from our room seemed quiet so I stepped out.
I screamed.
Grayson was digging through the bag of food but stopped and turned to me when he heard me. "Damn. If this is what being your roommate is like I could get used to this."
I rolled my eyes. "Actually Lana has seen me naked, so."
A grin spread across his face. "I can pretend to be Lana for the weekend."
"Not a chance." I grabbed my clothes and slipped back into the bathroom changing quickly before stepping back out.
Grayson was sitting on the couch eating and when I walked over he handed me my food.
"Thanks," I said before sitting down beside him. "How did you get back so fast anyway? It's at least a twenty minute walk there and back. I tried to time my shower perfectly."
"Dude, it's fucking cold. I ran."
We sat and ate while watching some show on the Discovery Channel. It was some documentary on sharks. I really did love the animal, they were so beautiful, though I didn't want to run into one in my lifetime.
We stayed up until midnight watching shows on this channel. Did that make us lame? I don't know. I actually enjoyed the shows, so if it does then lame I am.
So far things between us were going good, but when I laid in bed all I could think about was how I shouldn't have finished my classwork so I would have something to distract me over the weekend.
I was woke up to being shaken, the sheets pulled off of me, and Grayson yelling, "wake up!"
I lifted my head to glare at him. He was standing beside my bed just looking down at me. "New rule. Don't wake me up this early." I dropped my head back onto the pillow.
"It's ten in the morning," He plopped onto my bed making me bounce. "I've spent the last hour staring at shadows on the ceiling."
"That's nice. Keep doing that." I patted him, my eyes closed, but I'm thinking it was his arm.
"Nah." He paused. "Oh, and just so you know, it's highly inappropriate to moan your temporary roommates name while you sleep."
My eyes shot open. "I did not."
"Believe what you want."
I scoffed. "In your dreams, buddy."
"Hm." He looked deep in thought. "Maybe it was."
"Oh shut up," I said and we both started laughing.
I grabbed my phone to see a text from Lana.
A winking face, seriously? I text her back.
She wasted no time.
What's with the winking face?
I locked my phone and set it on the bed. she text back, popping up as a notification on my home screen. Why is she yelling at me?
"Just do what already?" Grayson asked me.
"Are you reading my messages?"
"You set your phone down and it just lit up in my face."
"Mhm. And you."
"Me what?"
"Do you."
His brows raised then settled into confusion. "Do me?"
I spoke slowly taking my time with each word. "Do you understand what I am saying?"
He was quiet for a second. "What? Yes! Don't make fun of me." He looked down at the black screen of my phone then back up at me. "Why would she say that?"
"I don't know." I shrugged. "It's Lana."
She text.
I text her back, from the corner of my eye noticing Grayson was staring at my phone.
All of a sudden my phone started ringing. I answered it and before I could say anything Lana screamed, "oh my gosh! Are you serious? Ah!"
"Why the hell would you call after I said that?"
"Oh right," she said and then the line went dead.
Grayson was eyeing me with this little smirky grin.
I rolled my eyes. "I'm going back to sleep."
"You would be one to fall asleep during sex."
"I can't help it. You're just that bad."
