"So I'm immortal now?" I ask looking at myself in the mirror.

"Indeed, my dear." Hades says running a hand down my arm,"How do you feel?'

"Freaky." I say," I don't feel any different."

"But you are." He says coming behind me,"becoming immortal is like being reborn. You make look the same, but everything about you as changed."

An emotion crosses his eyes and it confuses me.

It looked like sadness.

"I knew it," I said turning to him with a frown on my face.

"You knew what?" He asked.

"My humanity is what you liked about me the most and now that I'm not human, you don't want me anymore."

"Oh no." He says pulling me to him,"What would make you think that?"

I shrug away from him,"Every time you look at me all I see is sadness and regret. Don't lie to me! I came back for you, and yet you don't even want me here!"

"I've been keeping something from you." He sighs,"I honestly didn't know if I was going to tell you, but you should know."

"Is it that you don't love me because honestly Hades right now I don't think I could handle that." I say truthfully, "I've been through too much the last few days."

"No, no, Lela I love you more than anything...that's the problem."He says," I can't let you go. From the beginning I said you belonged to me and I'd never let you go." 

"Hades." I say confused,"Why would you have to let me go. I'm not going anywhere. Like I physically can't leave you."

He shakes his head,"I told you, with your immortality, it's like you've been reborn....completely." 

The realization hits me,"I can leave." 

He nods,"I won't stop you if you want to leave. I'll do my best to convince you not to leave me but if you made up your mind I'll let you go."

I roll my eyes, "What would I be going back to? Life sucked and nothing will be missed. I died and came back for you. If you think you'll be able to get rid of me then you have another thing coming," I say pointedly.

"That means you're mine forever, Lela. No backing out." He says seriously,"If you stay now, I'll never let you go."

"Who says I'll ever want to be let go of?" I smile wrapping my arms around him.

"Forever is a long time."

"Forever is a long time." I agree," and we'll spend it together."
