Tension was high.

Ever since my 'escape' Hades barely says two words to me every day and with a straight week of that a woman could go insane. I tried to talk to him, but he just brushes me off and goes about his business.

I've also been restricted to only the library and my food has to be brought to me. Hades also took my book about him insisting it caused too much trouble, but I think it's all the secrets and lies causing the trouble.

I accepted this punishment for three days, and I grew angry over the next three days, but on the seventh day it just became ridiculous. I was not going to sit here and let him ignore me and act like a child.

So I did something stupid.

I opened my door slowly.

And yes I meant my.

I opened the door and peaked outside causing my guard to turn and look at me, a scowl on his face.

"Yes, human?" He deadpans.

Apparently some of these people had a problem with their master taking a living human as his bride. It's not like I'm too terribly thrilled about it either.

I roll my eyes," I'm hungry."

He groans," What do you want?"

"A grilled cheese."

He groans again but walks off and as soon as he passes the corner i start to tip toe down the corridors looking for...something. If i had to guess i'd say i was looking for him.

"I forgot how dark this place was Hades." A very sexy and feminine voice says.

"Well it isn't called the underworld for no reason." He says.

I slowly peak around the corner and see a woman with her arm attached to Hades'. Their walking really close and i can't help the sting of jealously that hits me.

"What i do remember is how good we worked together, do you remember?" She says batting her eyes at him.

"What i remember is us always going at each others throats." He retorts.

"It was our fun, it was how we played."

"We're not children, we don't play games."

"And i suppose that human pet you got, satisfies you better than I?" She says and i can feel the disgust she has when she says human,"First it was the nymph and now the human...why must you bring all these living things here...it's not right and you know it."

"What i do in my domain is none of your concern, Angelia?"

She sighs and runs a hand down his chest,"I didn't mean to upset you...how about i make up for it."

I wanted to throw up in my mouth.

He grabs her wrist tightly and pushes her away,"Stay away from me, i no longer want you."

"Oh?" She spits," Does you human whore do it better than me?"

His eyes glow with fury and he slams her against the wall a hand on her throat,"You will never call her out of her name again, or ill handle you personally."

She scoffs and pushes away from him,"I told him it wouldn't work."

That caught his attention,"You told who...?"

"None of your business. My work here is done i'm leaving."

He grabs her by her shoulders,"You will tell me."

She laughs,"You don't run me anymore Hades, go chain up your whore and control her."

Before he can say anything she's gone .

Hades runs a hand through his hair then looks straight at me,"You can come out of hiding, darling, i knew you were there the whole time."

I slowly creep around the wall i was behind,"You let me listen in?"

He shrugs,"I've got nothing to hide."

"Who was that?" I ask.

" An old fling that I'd rather forget."

"What was she doing here?" I say trying not let him hear the jealousy in my voice.

"Is that a little jealousy I sense?" He patronizes.

I roll my eyes,"Well aren't I your 'bride' don't I have a right to be?"

A huge smug smile graces his face and he takes a step closer to me letting his lips barely touch mine,"You're absolutely right, because if I ever saw a man try to seduce you than he'd be dead before he even saw me coming."

I just stare at him for a second before leaning in and pressing our lips together. His hand comes up and twist in my hair pressing us closer together.

"Uh...Master?"

"What!" He roars breaking us apart.

"You have a visitor." The servant says meekly.

He growls," Is today just win a trip to the underworld day because I seem to be getting a lot of unwelcome visitors. Tell them I don't want to see them."

"But master-"

Hades cuts the thing off,"Are you defying me?"

"Master I-"

"That is correct I am your master and you will do as I bid. Now do as you're told before I have someone else who can do your job do it for you."

The thing goes to speak but another booming voice cuts it off,"Now, brother, the poor thing was just doing as it was told."

Hades grip on me becomes tighter as I feel his anger come off him in waves, "I think you are forgetting brother that this is my domain and not yours. You have no power here."

The man in front of me just laughs," I didn't come here to fight."

"Then why are you here?"

"I think you know why?" He says his gaze falling on me,"You've had your fun. Time to let her go."

"And who's gonna make me?" Hades challenges,"Everyone seems to be so scared of you but they forget that what I've been through and that nothing and no one can scare me."

"I'm not here to scare you. I'm here to warn you." Zues retorts.

"A warning of your coming would've been nice."
