"Where are we going now?" I ask Kora.

It's been a day since we left Jackson's house and I can't get the thought of him out of my head. But they're not good thoughts. I can only think about how much I've changed in the little time I've been gone, and how our 'friendship' has changed since then.

"A safe house." She says," Hades won't be able to find us there. It's on a ground that's hidden from him. Only summoning him would bring him there, but no one wants that."

The safe house is a warehouse. Its small and secluded and it looks abandoned.

"This is your safe house?" I question.

"For the time being." She shrugs,"I'm going to leave you here with some trusted people. They will take care of you until I return."

"You're leaving me?"

"I have other girls to rescue." She says seriously."

She snaps her fingers and two girls come out,"This is Fiona and Oceanid."

I offer a small smile,"Hello, I'm Lela."

"We know who you are." Says Fiona,"It's not everyday the king of the underworld picks a bride. You're kind of a celebrity."

I scoff,"I'm more infamous if you ask me. I didn't choose this."

"That's why were here." Says Oceanid,"We help people who have been forced into to situations they have no control over. Especially the godly kind."

"So this has happened before?"

"Of course, they think just because we're human, they can take what they want from us whenever they want. But we've proved it doesn't work like that."

"I think it's time we get our guest inside so that she can shower and change out of these clothes," Kora says.

She walks me inside and the saying 'don't judge a book by its cover' has never been truer in my life. It was decorated in lights and had new furniture all over the place. There was a monitor system set up and the floor was carpeted.

"Woah." I say,"Not what I was expecting."

"That's what they all say." Fiona,"Smiles,"Now here are some clothes to change in and you can't wear that necklace in the shower so just put it in your jacket pocket and put it back on when you get out."

"Umm..." I say looking at Kora.

"Don't worry." She says," You can have it off for a few hours before the effects of the food you ate kick in."

"Okay." I nod slipping it off and into my jacket pocket,"Are you leaving?"

"Yeah." She says,"I'll be back in a few days, though, so don't worry."

She gives me hug before disappearing as quickly as she appeared in my room.

After I take my shower, I sit down and turn on the news trying to catch up on anything I could've missed.

'Earthquakes have been popping up out of nowhere devastating many families.'

'A major flood for many coast cities....'

'Unexplainable natural disasters...'

"What the hell is going on?" I say to no one.

"It's Hades." Fiona says behind me,"It'll stop in a few days. There is unbalance in the underworld but soon everything will be back to normal, don't worry about it."

"This is all because of me."

"Not really." She explains,"Hades isn't attending to his duties but soon he'll realize what's going on and everything will be fine."

"Oh," I say even though it didn't make me feel better at all so I turn off the tv."I think it's time for me to go to bed. It's been a long two days."

I wrap the covers around me and lay my head on one of the plush pillows letting my eyes close.

Then pain.

Unbearable pain.

Unexplainable pain.

I scream and throw the covers off of me as my body breaks out in sweats.

"What's happening to her?" Fiona panics and my body starts to jerk and I can feel my skin start to burn.

If you leave the underworld without something verbally blessed by Aidoneus himself then you will die in less than seven days.

"The necklace." I rush through the pain,"I-I need it."

"Oceanid!" Fiona screams by my side,"Get the necklace."

Oceanid runs to my jacket and searches the pockets,"It's not here."

"What do you mean it's not there? It has to be!" Fiona says.

I start to jerk more and foam starts to come out of my mouth and I know I won't last long.

"C-can we help you in any other way?" Oceanid says coming to my side.

"Leave," I say through clenched teeth.

"What?" She questions,"We can't just leave you here by your-"

"He'll kill you if you're here." I growl out,"Leave."

They give me a second glance before they head out the door not wanting to face Hades' wrath.

Once I'm alone I look up at the ceiling and take a deep breath trying to forget the pain I'm in.

"Hades." I whisper slowly losing consciousness,"I summon you...."

Then darkness.

....

Hades....I summon you...

It was only a whisper but i heard it clear as day.

I was at her side in a moment and the condition she was in almost had me wiping out everything in a ten-mile radius of this place.

I waved my hand over her body and the shivering and foaming at the mouth stopped and her breathing turned back to normal. Her brown eyes slowly flutter open and I thought I saw a small smile graze her face before her eyes close once again.

I pick up her up and press my lips to her head.

"Time to go home." I say.
