《The Underworlds Hero》Hand of Death

'Failure'. That was a word I've heard for most of my life. No matter who I went to, they always told me the same thing. Whether it was my father. "You're nothing but a failure. Don't even bother trying to make anything of yourself. Nobody's gonna see past who your grandmother is."
My grandmother. "You're defective. A waste of my time and a failure as anything worth my time."
Even the people at school. "You're nothing but a failure. Don't even bother hanging out with us."
For years, nobody saw me as who I was. Sadly, nobody will ever that never thought much of me to begin with being Nana Shimura's grandson. Out of everyone, only one person actually showed care for me. "So you've done all this? This must've been extremely hard on you." Looking up from the chaos that happened that killed my entire family, I noticed a man with a suit on and a calm look to him. He knelt down to my level and held me close. I feared the worst was gonna happen and he was going to die like everyone else, but I felt something different. A warmth. Almost as if I was being...accepted. "This world is bittersweet to whomever it comes into contact with. Young man, I know you're part of that woman's lineage and you've had a hard life up till now, but understand this. You don't have to be alone. I'll find a way to help you even if you don't want it."
Tears came down my face as I felt this warmth. For the first time, I was accepted by someone outside of my family. "T-thank you, sir."
"It's ok. My name is Hisashi Midoriya. You don't need to be formal. Now, what's your name young man?"
I was released to look into the man's green eyes as he smiled to reply. "Tenko....Tenko Shimura."
"Yeah, cause I'm gonna slam my foot in your SKULL!" Miruko hopped up and came charging at All Might at immense speeds. "LUNA FALL!" The villain didn't budge, but instead allowed the rabbit hero to hit between his neck and shoulder for the sound to reverberate throughout the facility. "What!?"
All Might smirked at Miruko before grabbing her ankle. He swung the pro by the ankle up before slamming her onto the ground for the sound of her head hitting the hard floor. All Might moved his foot to Miruko's head and attempted to stomp on it before she realized and evaded at the last second.
Standing up with blood coming off her head, the rabbit hero smirked, ready to take on the foe in front of her. "It's gonna take a shit ton more than that to make me kick the bucket. TAKE THIS!" She jumped back up and began moving from wall to ceiling to floor increasing speed as she could around All Might. 'I don't know what happened, but he definitely felt more solid when I hit him. Guess I'll have to use the low blow like the kid said.' Aiming at the villain's left side, Miruko positioned her foot to come charging directly at where AFO caused permanent damage to the villain. "LUNA SLAM!" She collided with All Might's side for the sound of the kick to be several times larger than the first to his neck.

"That should take him down." Shigaraki smiled seeing this for Garaki to laugh. "What's so funny?"
"Unlike you all, I planned for the tangent of this. I had went ahead and given All Might a hyperspeed regeneration quirk as well as a copy of Overhaul in order to heal him. His body now has regained what it once lost and is unflawed. In short, that merely gave a tickle to my master." All Might immediately grabbed Miruko's waist and threw her across the room and into a wall. "AHAHAHA! NOTHING CAN STOP HIM NOW! WITH MY GENIUS AND ALL MIGHT'S POWER, NOTHIGN SHALL STOP US NOW-" All Might came directly to the doctor to use Overhaul on him and turn him into a water balloon.
He began laughing at this with Shigaraki looking at the stain that was once the mad doctor.
"You...you killed him?"
Visibly angry at how little care the blond villain had for human life, Shigaraki clenched his fists in anger.
"You....YOU....WHY WOULD I EVER ALIGN MYSELF WITH PEOPLE THAT KILL JUST BECAUSE THEY CAN!? YOU'RE NO DIFFERENT THAN A MONSTER! AT LEAST AFO SAW SOMETHING IN ME THAT NOBODY ELSE DID!" Somewhat annoyed with the classic one punch line of saying that a hero would never join, All Might walked up to Tenko as he backed up with a little fear.
Miruko recovered and immediately began attacking All Mgiht again for him to block and try to retaliate, only for him to miss. She rebounded back on the ground while looking over at Shigaraki. "I CAN HANDLE HIM! GO! GET BACKUP!" Shigaraki agreed to run out the area knowing that right now, neither stand a chance against All Might at this point in time.
The blond held his hand out pointed directly at Shigaraki.
"What the hell are you doing?"
This confused Miruko for a second not knowing what he meant.
Now knowing what he's doing, Miruko jumped over and tried to get Shigaraki out of the way. "LOOK OUT!" The vigilante looked back to see a beam of energy come at his head with no hopes to dodge. As this happened, he felt himself get thrown out of the way and see Miruko take the attack to her stomach. She went flying down the corridor from the attack for Shigaraki to panic.
"MIRUKO!"
Shigaraki looked back in fear for Miruko while trying to keep eye contact with All Might to avoid giving him an opening.
Remembering Miruko's words, Shigaraki stood directly in front of All Might's path where the rabbit hero went. 'If all else fails, I'm the last line of defense against All Might. So if that's the case, I need to do something.'
"A new name?" Tenko asked while seeing a name changing application given by the country's government.
"That's right. I figured keeping your name as something out of Shimura may help you. You see, I want you to go to school and learn while also becoming something worth your talent. People deserve happiness that did nothing wrong or are trying to fix mistakes they've made, Tenko. I want that for you, but you'll have to give up the name that has given you this grief." Looking at the paper, Tenko questioned if he should or shouldn't. "In the end, this is entirely up to you, so I won't force you to do this."

The small child placed the paper on the table before looking at Hisashi. "What should my name be?"
"Well that is a good question." The older man pondered while remembering what he knew of Tenko. "Tell me, do you feel bad for what you did to your family?" The litle boy held his head in shame while nodding. "So you mourn how they died."
"Wouldn't anyone?"
"That is correct." Hisashi snapped his fingers together while replying. "I got it. Your new name will be Tomura."
"Tomura?"
"It means 'mourn the dead'. It's kinda a way to say you'll keep those that are gone in your heart no matter what. Now for a last name....How about Shigaraki?"
"Why that?"
"When I married my wife, I couldn't give her my last name because of the fear she'd be pulled into my battles. As such, our infant son will go by her last name of Midoriya just so they can live a life that isn't overwhelmed by people coming after them. I know it was to keep them safe, but I felt a little heartbroken knowing that I can never have my son share my last name." Tenko thought of this before Hisashi pulled back the idea. "I'm sorry. It was a greedy idea to give you my last name. Let's pretend you didn't hear this and maybe we can give you the last name Oboro. Kinda a respect towards Kurogiri who's helping raise you."
"....Can I use your last name?" Tenko questioned for Hisashi to pause a moment before smiling.
"Sure. But just so you know, this may be something to come back and hurt you later. Are you prepared for this?"
The small boy nodded. "Mr. AFO, you gave me so much to be happy about since you took me in. I can learn and grow up like everyone else because of you. If I can have your last name, I'll do everything I can to make you proud of me sir."
Hisashi bent down to pat Tenko's head and have him smile. "Tomura Shigaraki it is then." He wrote down how to write the name on a separate paper and then placed the name on the sheet. "There we go. Now I'll be back after I finalize this. I hope you're happy with your new name, Tomura Shigaraki."
The small child nodded while giving a smile at his fatherly figure.
All Might asked while seeing Shigaraki stand in front with his hands spread out.
"I don't care if I lose. I've lived a relatively peaceful life because of AFO. I owe everything to him. If I could do anything for him or his son, I'll gladly do anything needed." Shigaraki slammed his hands on the ground decaying it and spreading it quickly to All Might. "EVEN IF THAT MEANS I HAVE TO FIGHT YOU!" The villain dodged the attack for the crumbling pieces of the ground to come up and hit the walls and ceiling to make them decay as well. "This is all I can do. All I can do in this world is destroy things. Crumble away what exists until ash and dust is left. But even if that's all I can do, I'll decay away your very existence until there is nothing left but dust!"
The area started to collapse with the sky being shown above with heroes pulling police and allies away. "GET BACK! GET AS FAR AWAY FROM THE HOSPITAL AS POSSIBLE!" Pros began panicking with Endeavor and Dabi pulling out Miruko who was barely holding onto life.
Hawks flew over to try and help get them away. "Is there anyone else inside?"
"Shi...shiga...raki...." Miruko tried to speak with her coughing up blood.
"From what we can tell, only Shigaraki and All Might are left." Dabi pointed out as Endeavor continued.
"When we came to the area where the underground lab was supposed to be, Miruko was sent directly towards us with a puncture in her stomach that we were barely able to close. Afterwards, things began turning into this with it being too dangerous to go any farther or even stay."
Another shake happened for the hospital to collapse in completely, encasing both Shigaraki and All Might inside. "I doubt we're getting anyone alive out of there." Hawks stated as everything became quiet. Heroes slowly came closer to the rubble before a giant explosion happened from the inside. "GET BACK!"
All Might hopped out of the wreckage almost immediately after clearly enraged.
In the villain's hands, Shigaraki was held by his neck barely conscious with his body bleeding from his skin cracking open. "You...monster..." He moved his hand to try and touch All Might's before having it sliced clean off by a shot of wind. "AAAHHHHHHH!!!!!"
Every hero prepared for a fight as All Might threw the injured vigilante to the ground and stomped on his stomach.
And that finishes this chapter. So Shigaraki's all or nothing attempt to stop All Might failed with it now falling on the heroes to take down the villain. See what happens next time. Hope you all enjoyed and thanks for reading.

A Beginner's Guide to Napping, Sunbathing, and Slaughtering Your Prey
Fang is a simple cat. Fang likes napping in the sun. Fang does not like being called Chairman Meow. Fang likes his belly being scratched for precisely 17.329 seconds. Fang does not like being punted between dimensions. Fang likes hunting and killing defenseless wildlife. Fang does not like mysterious blue boxes that appear out of thin air. Fang is having a Very Bad Day. A few things to note: Fang is a cat soul in a cat body, and that's not going to change any time soon. No cat girl evolution or possessed puppet or any of that. The slice of life tag is there for a reason. There is no epic tale here, only a cat doing cat things in a (hopefully) interesting setting. The game elements are pretty light, mostly there for flavor, so don't expect a huge amount of crunch. Nature is cruel, and cats are crueler than most.

The White Rabbit: Book 2
In the Urillian Empire, the Empress Xandra rules three-quarters of the planet Xren from her home in the capital of the Earth Continent. Both the fire and water peoples have fallen under her might after a series of wars stretching back three centuries. Earth elves, under Xandra's rule, have spread throughout the planet and established colonies, and are, by all accounts, enjoying what seems to be a prosperous and happy existence. But not everyone in Uril is happy. The holy books speak of elves as the Chosen People of Thesis, tasked with guiding and protecting the lower races. For some people, this scripture has been interpreted to designate their life as one on the lowest rungs of society. Humans have been reduced to a slave class, and serve their elven masters under Xandra's rule, kept at bay by the constant fear of the dreaded Emerald Knight, and their own perceived weakness. Humans do not lead long lives, nor do they possess the wisdom, power, or magical acumen of their elven masters. But there is hope. A group of people have banded together to fight against Xandra, her Knight, and her empire. They call themselves the "Knights of Order" united under the principle idea that Xandra's reign has brought chaos unto Xren, and they wish to restore order. These Knights are led by a man named Xaxac Brigaddon, spoken of as a legend. They say that when the moons are full, some humans transform into powerful beasts. They say that Xaxac is the most powerful warrior on Xren, that in his youth he was enslaved and forced to fight other humans to the death in a bloodsport called "cage fighting", that he could not be touched and held the world championship title for three years running until he faked his own death and escaped his master to join the resistance. They say that he has friends in high places- noblemen, pirates, and the devil himself. They say that if you can find him, he can ferry you to freedom in places where the Earth Elves fear to tread. They say that he is immune to magical attack, and his eyes shine like the silver moon. They say that he is descended from Quizlivian Brigaddon, one of the humans who helped the demon Magnus escape a god. They say that if you want to walk the Path of Order, you should follow the White Rabbit.Come and watch the transformation from human boy to Knight of Order: The life and times of Xaxac OfAgalon OfLangil Brigaddon. Content Warning: This work is based on the real experiences of human trafficing survivors. Xaxac's origins are based on true events, and they are presented realisitcally; this includes but is not limited to: isolation, gaslighting, emotional and sexual abuse, and grooming tactics. This work is meant to hold a mirror up to society; it is based on the real of experiences of people who have experienced slavery and/or abuse. It is an adult work and probably should not be read by anyone under the age of 18. If you are a survivor of human trafficing and/or abuse, your feedback is welcome, but please do not read this if you think it may trigger your trauma. I did not write this with the intention of harming anyone, but rather to provide accurate representation for a group that does not normally get it in the hopes of changing the zeitgeist. I would like to see a world where more people understand what these experiences are like, so that real survivors do not have to deal with microagressions from an ignorant public. Reader discretion is advised. This book does not display these elements as heavily as book 1.

Four story anthology
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] [participant in #NaNoWriMo] Preface: This fiction will contain four different stories set up as a challenge for myself and to get better at writing. The challenge for royal road writathon is a 55.555 word goal while the nanowrimo challenge is 50.000 words. Reader suggestions is turned on, feel free to point out errors I missed and I'll fix them up! Chasing sun, napping softly: Cultivation/Xianxia genre. Some parts will poke at the ridiculousness of the Xianxia gerne. We follow the life of a magical fox monster, who doesn't like how the cultivation world works. Said beast seems to have more knowledge than is usual for normal magical beasts. In it's infinite wisdom it decided to search for the main character of the cultivation world to have a cozy and safe place beside him. Our fox will act as a "wise beast" to coast along on the main characters rise to greatness, all for peace, happiness and that amazing napping spot in the sun. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing in first person. Comedic effect between talking vaguely and sounding wise. The cost of heroism: A story more centered around fights and mental health of hired mercenaries/heroes. The world is infected with an eldritch corruption. Humans are trying their best to explore and clear out wilderness and the dungeons hiding in them to establish new cities. Lords seek for hired hands to do the professional work. Thanks to the setting, the story will show how awful pasts are the norm and how pragmatic people became thanks to that. People exchange their sanity for riches, fame and gods acceptance. Interpersonal relationships change drastically and quickly. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing grim scenes/imparting a feeling of how grim the world is. Writing fight scenes. Showing different mental states. Describing their influence on people during fights, walks or even after successful or failed campaigns. Who will be the next powerhouse? : A story about a gaming show, it's host Staan and the different participants. Stereotype characters, stereotype backstories, silly challenges and quizzes. The winner of those challenges gets powerups for their power system. Be it magic, ki, psychic power or anything else imaginable and unimaginable to reach the power of gods. The challenges for myself with this story: A softer tone for storytelling. Making the reader smile and enjoy themselves. A different try at slice of life story. I was left behind on earth as my family conquered another world and enjoys riches, but that's okey because I got a cheat too! : Stereotypical Isekai story parody twisted into an Urban Fantasy story. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing over the top and overdramatic scenarios/scenes Writing in first person. Walking into stereotypical scenarios and making them more dramatic/giving them a twist. Different type of humor.
