"Nothing can defeat the flames"
The day of the wedding has arrived and the girl could not be more excited for it, barely even slept through the night. And as she woke up her lips show only a bright happy smile. Her fire eyes look at the ceiling as she takes a deep breath and then exhales. Happiness soars through her like never before. Marrying the love of her life after all that they have been through and survived together is all that she could ever dream of. Sitting up she looks over the bedroom, the same room that she has woken up in when she first came there.
Standing up Arabella goes to the window and looks over her kingdom and smiles, knowing that all of it belongs to her and her love. She is the Queen to all of this and it is unreal to her yet she can believe it. The smile on her face widen as she looks over the kingdom. Noticing that there are people walking towards the castle from every direction. It takes her a second to realize that they are there for her wedding, to see her marry their King and her officially crowning ceremony. However, the wedding itself will be small, as she does not want many there.
A knock on the door and then it opens, she turns around to look behind her to see that Thalia has entered the room. "Morning" She greets happily to her maid and friend. "Morning" She answers her. Both girls are smiling at each other. "I do not know if I can do this" Arabella then says as she turns around to face her kingdom once again. Thalia walks beside her to look at it too. "Nonsense, I have seen your courage and I have seen your love. This day will be the one that will bring more happiness than you can ever imagine" Thalia tells her.
Taking Arabella's hand to comfort her. She has seen first hand how brides are always frightened for their wedding and even when they love the groom that are to be married to. The nerves are complicated and one does not understand them but she knows that before the end of the day, all nerves of the young girl will be gone as she marries the love of her life. "I have defeated darkness before and I have been hurt but nothing can prepare me for this" Arabella whispers.
She does feel happiness that she is to be married to him but she is also nervous and not sure if she can do it. Perhaps the negative can be washed away. "Well, let us not think of that. I have prepared you a bath. It is best to bathe when it is warm" Thalia tells her, devoted on helping the Queen for her wedding and not because she is the Queen but also because she is her friend. Arabella lets out a giggle. "I have never been cold, I do doubt cold water do it and also if it were cold I believe my body will heat it up. Perhaps to the point where it would boil" She says with a laugh.
She is correct, the water would heat up on its own, much like the snow did in the human world. Walking in her slightly see-through nightgown she head for the bathroom with Thalia behind her. There she helps undress her and she steps into the bathtub. As soon as her body is in the water it does start to heat up but not to the boiling point. Steam rises from the water and fills up the room.

Thalia bathes her and cleans her body and hair and then Arabella has stepped out of the bathtub she cleans her body with a cloth to dries it too. "You skin is flawless, how is that possible?" Thalia asks her as she dries her body. Arabella's skin was indeed flawless and smooth. "I do not know. I have always been like this. Do you believe it is because for who I am?" The fire eyed girl asks her. She nods her head at her questions. "That is the likely cause. You have never been like any other human" She tells the Queen.
The two of them go back into the room when her body has been dried but her long fire colored hair still drips wet but the heat in her body is quick to dry her hair. Arabella doesn't need to worry about a thing for the wedding for everything has been done and yesterday she even had her before party. It was a beautiful one and exactly as she and Luna had planned it to be. Despite that she was not able to get what she had wanted, the forbidden thought that she does not wish to think of.
Arabella had wished that she could be able to pleasure her husband when they are wed, she wanted to learn how as she does not know anything about it and being deflowered on her wedding night she wanted to know how to give her husband pleasure. She was frightened to ask and now that she is about to be married to him, she still does not know how to bring pleasure to him. Like she is sure he will do to her. Just thinking about it, makes the blood rush to her cheeks as she feels herself blush.
Dressing in a nightgown to be wearing clothing as she does not go into her wedding dress quite yet. She has not even seen her own wedding dress. Luna and Thalia made sure it would fit her without her even trying it on and made sure that she would like it and it would hold to her own personality. "I do not know how my hair should be. I'm not familiar with many hairstyles" Arabella admits. In her childhood she had no need to know how to style her and she did grow up with two brothers.
She is even surprised that they did not cut her hair the way they do to make it easier for them to brush through her hair. "Your hair is unique and it should not be presented in a formal matter for that would take the special abilities out of it. Your fire hair represents who you are and your eyes too, nothing should stand in the way of that" Thalia tells her. Arabella is the only one with hair like that. She may have gotten her red hair from her father but the fire color deepened on her birthday, the day that this all began.
"You truly believe that?" Arabella asks. She did not know that one might think so highly of the hair that she has on her head. "Of course, like your hair, you are unique" Thalia tells her. Brushing her hair and smoothing it out as it has already dried from her heat as her body heat is unlike any other. "What does a wife do?" Arabella then asks after thinking about it for a couple of moments. She never grew up with a mother or a woman in her life, she doesn't have the training nor knowledge of what a woman is supposed to do when she has become a wife.

"It depends on the status of the woman and her husband and because you are the Queen, you do not have to do much. Keep your husband happy which I know all you have to do is look at him and he is happy" Thalia tells her and the two of them share a laugh as it is the truth. Hades is happy with everything that she does and she could breathe and he would feel as much happiness than he has ever felt.
When her hair is brushes, Arabella stands up. "I will be getting your breakfast, it is best you eat to settle down your body" Thalia says as she lightly bows her head and then leaves the room to get Arabella her breakfast but she doesn't eve know if she will be able to eat anything as she can't wait for it to happen. It openly now dawns on her that in only a couple of hours she will be married to the man that she loves and she will become his wife and he will be her husband and together they will the the King and Queen.
As soon as Thalia has left the bedroom and she is alone once again she starts to hear whispers, all around her. Confused she looks round herself, turns in circles but she doesn't see anything. However, she is sure she is hearing whispers and they're coming from the window for some reason. Or close to the window. Perhaps the people's voices she wondered if that was the case. Confused, she walks over to the window to see if where these whispers are coming from. They are the loudest near the window but she does feel like they are all around her.
The whispers aren't even words or even if they were she doesn't know the language nor does she want to. They bring shivers down her spine for all the wrong reasons as she suddenly feels this fear run through her like never before. Slowly she walks over to the window until she looks out of it once again. Gulping she looks outside but this time she doesn't see any people down there, the lines and rows of people she saw before have all disappeared and she finds it hard to believe that all of them have made it inside.
Hades had told her that the subjects would not be entering the castle until after the wedding so they can witness when she is officially crowned the Queen. Furrowing her eyebrows she takes another look outside. The whispers grow only louder with each passing second and she can barely hear herself think now that they are louder. She puts her hands over her ears to stop the sounds but she finds it hard to stop these whispers. The louder they get the more pain she feels and she doesn't understand why she is feeling actually pain because of them.
Wincing she closes her eyes shut as the whispers grow louder and they are hurting her so much. "Please stop" She whispers to herself as she wants them to end. She feels this massive wave of pain hit her all at once and she falls down to her knees in pain. Tears are falling down her eyes and glow on the ground when they land. The whispers are hurting her as if they were attacking her all at once and she doesn't understand it nor does she know why this is happening and why she is hearing them.
A moan escapes past her lips as she kneels on the floor in pure agony. The pain so intense that she can barely feel anything else other than the pain. Her head feels like it is about to explode from the amounts of whispers. She holds her head tightly as she desperately wants the whispers to go away but they don't, they stay and with each passing second, it grows more intense and the agonizing pain is too much for her to handle as she has never felt pain like this before in her life.
As a knock on the door breaks through the pain, she feels it all go away, the whispers disappear like they were never there at all. Breathing heavily she stands up from the ground and opens her eyes. Wipes away the tears as the pain is all gone. "My Queen, why is the door locked?" Thalia's voice comes from the outside. Arabella stares for a moment at the door in confusion as she did not lock the door, she isn't even sure she can lock the door. She doesn't even know where the key is to the door nor does she know how it got locked in the first place.
Standing up she uses her eyes to wipe off the tears but she realizes that her cheeks nor eyes are watery. Her gaze turns to the ground that held one or two of her tears but they're not there. Frightened she walks over to the door and opens it. Thalia stands there with a smile on her face as she holds a tray of food for Arabella. Lightly shaking her head, Arabella puts a smile on her face and moves aside so Thalia could enter. She puts the tray on the golden table and gestures Arabella to sit there and she does.
While she ate the food she thought about what had happened. Then she stands up and walks over to the window to see that there are people down there. People waiting for her wedding yet she did not see them, any of them before. She wonders what is going on with her yet she is quick to blame it on the stress as she doesn't need to worry about this when she is about to be married but she will worry about it later. Once again shaking her head she turns to sit down by the table and continue eating.
Though she was confused she decided to not dwell on the fact. Like Thalia had said before, she was unique and of course she knew that too and perhaps it was only the stress taking its toll on her and she should not be dwelling on the thought nor anything beside the wedding which will take place in only a couple of hours. "Where is Luna? She told me she would be helping me get ready" Arabella asks once she has finished the food and drank something and it made her feel better now that she has eaten something.
"Asleep. I do believe she and Grayson are keeping each other busy throughout the nights" Thalia says which makes both of them let out a giggle. Over the last couple of days Luna and Grayson hate each other and then make love all night. One might see them argue and try to kill each other in the hallways and the next moment they have gone to the bedroom for privacy. "Speaking of, I do believe Jaxon has visited you in the night" Arabella says with a raised eyebrow and a smile on her face.
Like Luna and Grayson, Thalia and Jaxon are spending a lot of time together and even in the nights but unlike Luna and Grayson they don't try to kill each other. The love between them is strong, stronger than they could ever imagine. Noticing how Thalia blushes like never before she giggles. "We do love one another and I do hope we will spend the rest of our immortal life with each other. That is, if you will allow us to" Thalia tells her but she only gets a smile from the Queen and her friend.
"Of course I allow it, my brother is lucky to have found you, I know you two will be happy together" Arabella tells her with the soft smile on her face. Her brothers mean the world to her and now that both of them have found the same happiness that she has found, she could not be any happier about it. "It is I who is lucky to have found him" Thalia tells her. The fire eyed girl smiles at the woman to see her this happy. "Now, we must get moving. There are many things that will need to be done in a couple of hours" The woman tells her.
Arabella stands up. "Yes, of course. What is it that we will do now?" She asks her. Once again when she thinks of the wedding she is nervous once again. Her heart has not stopped speeding up from the moment that she woke up but the smile of happiness is one to show that while she is nervous for this day, she is also happy, more than happy. The joy inside her is insane for her and she can barely contain it, perhaps she just wants to shout to the world how happy she is.
"I shall be doing your hair now. I will not do much, only a little to help it shine" Thalia answers. "What are you planning on doing?" The fire Queen asks her, she may not know much about hair or their styles but she does want something and she is sure that Thalia will do something that doesn't ruin the uniqueness of the hair and its color. "I will be braiding it. And when you are in bed with him, he will undo it. Men like it when they do it" Thalia tells her as she gestures her to sit down and she does it.
"All right" The fire eyed girl says. Looking into the mirror as Thalia begins by brushing her hair once again and then she starts to braid it. When she has made it halfway the door opens and Luna enters the room with a smile on her face and flustered cheeks. Both Thalia and Arabella giggle when they see her come in, not completely used to the violet eyed girl being somewhat kind to someone else that she likes and more importantly a boy since she has been known to slaughter all that approach her.
"You are rather late, soon we will have to get the dress for her to show her" Thalia says to Luna as she sits down on the bed with a smile on her face. Her midnight black hair tangled and all over the place but she doesn't seem to care much for it. "I was occupied and one shall never disturb me when I am like that" Luna tells them, trying to hide the fact that they already know what she was doing. She rolls her eyes as she stands up and walks over to the golden desk where Thalia still braids Arabella's hair.
Luna and Thalia begin chatting while she braids her hair but Arabella could barely hear what they were saying as when she looks in the mirror she sees something. In her own eyes she sees darkness, shadows and darkness. She doesn't understand it but she sees it in her own eyes. The normal fire eyes have darkened to the shade of black and even the white in her eyes has turned completely black. Once she blinks and reality comes to her the blackness is gone from her eyes and they are normal once again.

The Ruined Monks of Rothfield Monastery
Erin is the youngest member of the dark monks; a supernatural brotherhood whose ultimate mission is to improve the dire circumstances of poor, war-torn villages using powers unique to each member. Or so he was led to believe. Erin, like his brothers, does not age, and that is, unfortunately, the only trait he shares with them. He cannot charm or compel like Woodrow, he cannot cast illusions like Knox, he was not swift like Swithin, not powerful like Blake. He was barely an assistant to his dear brother Wilbur, with his herbology and alchemy. He was told to lie low and make himself scarce. That is what he did. The dark monks temporarily reside in abandoned monasteries scattered around the country, feeding the poor and healing the sick, nurturing the monastic lands until it was fertile enough to raise crops and rear animals. As the years passed, they would leave these reformed, repopulated, self-sustaining monasteries and venture froth to help the next settlement. Yet, after years of toiling and quiet servitude, Erin notices that people and the country itself are declining. The villagers look gaunt, the once-lush soil now barren and cracked. He begins to feel disheartened, thinking that their mission is proving futile. Still, their leader Blake is steadfast and charges onward, and lately has his eyes set on a certain monastery in a thick, thorned forest that seems to diminish, even nullify their powers. A thick forest that Erin somehow has a connection to. A thorned glade where an ethereal voice calls his name with one simple request along with a promise:Heal the land, child. Heal the land and I promise to give you sanctuary so long as you stay. I promise to nurture you as you nurture me. As Erin cultivates the land, the land, in turn, gifts all its caretakers with new, enhanced skillsets on top of their unique powers -- skills of protection, healing, and magic. Magic. Erin had long wished to see the world fill with it again. The people, regardless of common or noble blood, still believe that magic will enter this world again. Magic to bless the king like it did the Saints. Magic to dispel the miasma befouling the world. Magic to bring back the fae folk and their many forms. It is up to Erin to forge the many paths leading to a bright future; to build a prosperous paradise that welcomes all races and bloodlines, by mastering the rewards gained through agriculture, horticulture, and animal husbandry, smithing, crafting, and fishing. Erin may also find a lifelong friendship and romance with his neighbor, Claude, if he decides to pursue him, and may even join him in the military campaign outside the monastery. The darkness still lurks outside, after all, and the mastery of his skills, along with a few good friends, may finally be enough to turn the tide in their favor. Most of all, Erin wants to keep the vow he set for himself: to protect everyone and everything he loves until his dying breath.
