《Malli|TK》44: IMY

After a delicious dinner in the four star restaurant with the best pasta Taehyung has ever tasted in his entire life, the couple, or not-yet-couple, was back in the car, driving home.
Or so Taehyung thought, until he noticed Jeongguk was driving another way, taking turns that led anywhere else but Taehyung's house. "You missed your turn," he marked with a teasing laugh, which made Jeongguk smirk.
"I never miss," was Jeongguk's respond, that had Taehyung squint his eyes at him. "Where are we going?"
The evening has been already perfect. Taehyung couldn't picture it going even better, but Jeongguk seems to always pull an ACE out of his sleeve.
"That's a surprise," Jeongguk smiled, one Taehyung interpreted as a sign that what comes next is something he will definitely like.
"I'll arrange our next date," he declared then, "You're doing so much, I will give you everything back."
Shortly, Jeongguk glanced to the younger boy and then back to the street. "You gave me more than I ever could ask for, Taehyung. Let me spoil you a little now."
To say Taehyung didn't blush because of that line would be a lie. He didn't comment on that afterwards, lettings Jeongguk's words evaporate in the air.
It's when the car came to a stop again that he said something again. He looked outside, his eyes widening. "Are you for real?"
Jeongguk laughed as he looked at the younger's shocked expression. "I knew you'd react like that."
Taehyung pouted. "Jeongguk, look at what we're wearing. The cinema is not a place for dinner outfits." Going to the cinema was the least Taehyung had expected.
The ravenette chuckled, softly rolling his eyes. He knew Taehyung would react this way. "Who cares?"
His eyes wandered down Taehyung's body, taking his outfit in for another time. "We gon' be the hottest couple inside there."
Had Jeongguk not added the last part, Taehyung would've sighed and counter Jeongguk's 'Who cares?' response. Now he simply blushed, because of Jeongguk using the 'c-word' and indirectly stating he finds him hot.
"What movie are we gonna see?" He asked instead, covering up his fluster.
"That's a surprise too."
Taehyung pouted once again and Jeongguk took the opportunity to give him a small peck on his lips. "C'mon, before the movie starts."
With a small smile, Taehyung unbuckled his seatbelt and got out of the passenger seat, quickly closing up to Jeongguk who was on the other side of the car. He walked close to him, liking the close proximity of him. Loving it.
Jeongguk couldn't stop but side glance to the boy every time he had the opportunity to. Taehyung's beauty, the way he seemed so flustered by the whole situation, made Jeongguk want to cradle him in his arms and kiss him forever.
At the reception, Taehyung didn't pay any attention to Jeongguk and the receptionist, rather eyeing the posters of the different movies displayed on the wall behind the reception counter, until one caught his eyes.
"Are we going to watch Maze Runner?!" He asked, suddenly all excited, the receptionist and Jeongguk halting in their conversation.
There was a little hesitation, before Jeongguk nodded, Taehyung combusting in joy and even more excitement at the amazing news. "Really? This is the best thing you could do!" He announced and hugged Jeongguk.

He missed the look and the smiles Jeongguk and the receptionist exchanged.
"I'm glad you like it," the ravenette mumbled.
"Here are you tickets for the Maze Runner movie," the receptionist then spoke again. He was a tall brunet, smaller than Jeongguk, but still not lacking in height, with a bright, inviting smile. "Enjoy the movie."
Taehyung was the first to say thank you and almost ripped the ticket cards out of the receptionist's hands to check which cinema hall the movie is playing. "Seven," he spoke and looked to Jeongguk.
The ravenette smiled softly at him and gestured him with a look to lead the way, which Taehyung then did.
The hall was huge, the lights already darkened, while advertisements and other movie trailers were streaming. Astonished, Taehyung looked around the room in awe. "There's no one yet, we can choose our seats."
Jeongguk looked around, and indeed there was no other person but them. He grinned.
"You probably wanna sit in the center, right?"
Taehyung nodded and walked ahead, Taking the seat right in the center, not too high, not too low, not too far right and not too far left. He had the perfect view and so did Jeongguk, who took exactly the seat next to him on the left.
"When's the movie going to start?"
"In ten minutes," Jeongguk confirmed. He was nervously sitting in his seat, looking around the room. Taehyung interpreted it as him being impatient for the movie to start, not knowing what was awaiting him.
Five minutes already passed and from time to time Taehyung looked to the entrance of the room to see if other people are going to walk in. None did.
Even after eight minutes, it was still only him and Jeongguk and he didn't know if that's normal, especially for a movie like Maze Runner, where the hall should be filled until there's not seat left anymore.
"Do you think we're going to stay alone?" He asked.
Jeongguk didn't respond and looked ahead, "The film's starting."
Taehyung quickly turned to look to the front, a smile on his lips as he tried to hold back a squeal from excitement.
But the squeal he fought against got lost pretty quickly when the film started.
And he saw himself on the screen. Fifteen years younger than now. The video quality a little older, giving the memory a brownish filter.
He turned to Jeongguk in shock, who smiled, still looking ahead.
"Mama, look what I found!" A blonde boy, Taehyung recognized as himself held up a yellow shovel with a bright smile on his lips.
Taehyung looked at the screen with widened eyes, his heart pounding in his throat. Mind blank.
"That's my shovel, get your own!"
An older boy entered the frame, taking away Taehyung's shovel. He could never not recognize these bunny teeth and the black hair. Taehyung clasped his hand against his mouth.
"N-no! Mine! Found it there!" The blond boy gripped the shovel again, trying to rip it out of the one year older ravenette's hands.
"You stole it! You're a thief, the police will arrest you! Thieves are bad and who acts bad belong in prison!" The raven haired boy on the screen responded. Taehyung was hit by a huge wave of memories. This was the first time Jeongguk and him met.

"N-no, Taetae not bad, I'm g-good boy,"
"Taetae? What a silly name is that? Jeongguk is way cooler."
Small tears slowly formed in Taehyung's eyes, when the screen went black for one second and another scene started playing.
"Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday to you...
Taehyung laughed wholeheartedly, seeing small Jeongguk, next to his mother and father with a huge birthday cake sitting in front of them. Taehyung, with his blonde hair just entered the room and was crying when he saw the surprise.
"My thirteenth.." he whispered and in the next moment, he felt a soft hand clasping his, giving it a warm squeeze.
"Happy Birthday, Babybear," Small Jeongguk congratulated in the video, a bunny smile on his lips as he handed a red packet to the birthday boy.
"I love it, Gguk!" Taehyung exclaims happily with his high child voice, as he gets up and hugs his best friend, while cheers and clapping sounds in the background.
The screen went black again and Taehyung quickly wiped a small tear on his cheeks away, before the next scene played. It was him and Jeongguk hugging at their old soccer team after winning a game. The next scene showed the two, baking a cake in the middle of the night, a video Hana had taken of the two in secret. The fifth scene was their graduation day from middle school. The next clip was from Jeongguk's fifteen birthday, the clip after was Jeongguk teaching Taehyung how to make a vase with clay.
Taehyung couldn't count how many videos were shown our how many photos were added in the end into a short dia show. He knew these were recordings of his and Jeongguk's whole friendship from the day they met to where they are today.
The film stopped and one photo stayed on the screen. A selfie of the two Taehyung had taken just two days ago, where Jeongguk and him were simply sitting on the couch, in pyjamas and watching a movie. Taehyung had his tongue stuck out, Jeongguk was showing a peace sign.
The screen went totally black after that and dim lights turned on on the walls in the cinema hall.
Taehyung was a crying mess at that point, furiously trying to wipe his tears away. He just went through an emotional rollercoaster.
"Are you alright?" Jeongguk asked softly, brushing Taehyung's hand with his thumb.
The blond stared at him, before falling into Jeongguk's arms and pressing his face hard against Jeongguk's chest. "You are such an idiot," he sobbed, "How could you not warn me?"
Jeongguk chuckled softly, holding onto the blond. "If you knew, it would've broken all the purpose of a surprise, no?"
Taehyung chocked out a small laughter. "I hate you."
Jeongguk laughed. "I love you."
Taehyung froze there and then, before sitting up to look into Jeongguk's eyes with his own widened, shocked ones.
The ravenette softly reached his hand out to wipe Taehyung's (btw still falling-) tears away.
"The day you stole my shovel was the luckiest day in my entire life," he whispered softly.
"I d-didn't steal it," Taehyung sobbed.
Jeongguk rolled his eyes, in a loving way. "We were best friends, I know, but I always... I always had loved you more. When we were younger, you had always been the only one I wanted to play with, later on you'd always be the only one I wanted to work with. You were my number one in everything, not to mention my gay-awakening."
Taehyung laughed softly, as he leaned his cheek against Jeongguk's palm, swimming in feelings.
"I know I will forever regret following what my parents instructed, because this year of not being with you had killed me. It made my feelings for you even stronger, even more intense. Seeing you in school everyday was the least I could have, but it never satisfied my urge to hug you again, to talk to you normally again. At first, I planned on telling you the truth, but I was ashamed of the decision I made. I chose my parents words over our friendship and my feelings to you, I was ashamed of that. I was scared of how you would react, if you knew that I rather listened to my parents than be with you."
Jeongguk took a deep breath.
"But that doesn't matter anymore now, because you're here with me and I want to make everything up to you, I want to replace all the pain I caused you with new memories of happiness. I want us to be happy together, wake up next to each other and see your smile first thing in the morning.."
He softly placed a kiss on Taehyung's forehead, who shortly closed his tear-filled eyes.
"Because.. I love you. I loved you since forever and I missed you so, so bad."
Taehyung sniffed. "I missed you, too. He leaned closer towards Jeongguk, looking up, straight into his eyes, "All this time, I missed you so much and being apart from you made me realize how much I need you. How much I actually love you."
A gentle smile graced Jeongguk's lips, not being able to believe this was real. "Really?"
Taehyung nodded, wrapping his arms around Jeongguk's neck, never loosing the eye contact. "I love you." His emotions were screaming.
Jeongguk didn't hesitate, his hands finding Taehyung's waist and pulling him closer, locking their lips to a heartfelt kiss. They swam, they drowned and they eventually found the shore they always belonged at, as their lips create the bound between them in the name of love.
Jeongguk slowly, cut the kiss off, cupping Taehyung's face with his hand. "This is a dream, right?"
Taehyung giggled, shaking his head. "Should I pinch you to make you believe this ain't a dream?"
The older one shook his head. "I'd rather want you to answer a question."
A curious expression graced Taehyung's features, as he raised an eyebrow. "What question?"
Jeongguk chuckled at the oblivion those brown eyes in front of him held. "Do you want to be my boyfriend?"
Eyes wide, Taehyung squealed out a loud "yes!" before wrapping his arms tightly around Jeongguk again.
And that's how two souls, that have been crying and longing for each other day and night, found back to each other.
The End.

Wander West, in Shadow
BOOK 1 COMPLETED A young wizard journeys west, through dark forests and dangerous lands, searching for something. Accompanied by a wild witch who has secrets of her own, they come across terrible creatures, hauntings, cursed villages, and memories from their past. Who else will they meet along their journey, and to find what he is looking for, how far will the wizard have to wander west? NOTE: The above synopsis is intentionally written to be as spoiler-free as possible. If you would like a more in-detail synopsis, one that contains minor spoilers, please check out the "Synopsis" chapter at the beginning of this fiction. If you read and enjoy, please leave a rating or review! FORMERLY TITLED: THE GLIMMERLING This story was formerly titled "The Glimmerling", because the first part was a short story of that title; it has since been expanded upon, thus the title change. Chapters 1-8 (30k words) are the first 'arc', if you want to get a feel for the story. To give some context on the setting: Magic is a bit weaker in this story than you might be used to, and we start off following some relatively new magic users. For some perspective, being able to light a campfire with magic is considered relatively advanced for someone who is the age of the main character. Magic can become very powerful - and there are some examples of powerful wizards within this story - but it's not where the main characters are yet. Part of the story is about following them as they learn more about magic. Enemies are also very dangerous, and running, hiding, or trying to talk their way out of a dangerous situation is often a better choice than fighting for the characters. While I have added tags for traumatizing content, sexuality, violence, swearing, etc. I try to avoid super-explicit descriptions of these things. But they are part of the story.
