"Tae? Jeongguk is waiting downstairs for you."
"Yes mom, I'm almost done," Taehyung responded to the knocking of his mom against his door, putting on vaseline on his lips, before taking a last look at his whole appearance in the mirror.
He decided to put on the outfit Jimin had picked out for him earlier this day. He only lives once and it's his first ever date with Jeongguk. If he's overdressed, that's just how it is, though he feels really nervous about Jeongguk's reaction.
He decided to not dwell on that too much, telling himself that he is going to enjoy this evening with Jeongguk, there's nothing to be embarrassed of.
Being done with the last touch of make-up, he opened the door, meeting Hana.
Her eyes softened instantly. "Oh, honey.. you look gorgeous."
Smiling, Taehyung placed a kiss on his mother's forehead. "Inherited by the most beautiful woman on planet earth."
A chuckle left Hana, as she placed her hand on her son's shoulder. "Jeongguk is lucky to have you."
A smile, one that was softer as the other before, hit Taehyung's lips. "I think we're both pretty lucky."
Hana hummed. "He's waiting downstairs."
A small wave of nervousness hit the blond, but he suppressed it, finding no place for that today. "I'm going.."
"Have fun," whispered his mother, as she gave his shoulder a last squeeze and let her son go with a proud glint in her eyes.
Taehyung almost stumbled down the stairs, the excitement that made itself shown earlier bubbling even more inside him now.
When he reached downstairs though, he found the complete first floor empty and quiet. He looked around in search for Jeongguk, confusion sparking inside of him, combined with the now faltering excitement and the comeback of the earlier nervousness. "Gguk?"
The doorbell then cut through the silence and Taehyung flinched hardly, startled by the loud unexpected sound.
"Did he really lock himself out-" he mumbled to himself, amused, while aiming towards the door. His words were left stuck in his throat though, when he opened the entrance door and met the view outside.
In awe.
"Hey.." Jeongguk almost whispered, as he stood right in front of the door, a bouquet of roses in his hand. "Figured, it should feel like a real date, with me picking you up and all," he continued to tell, before his eyes had the time to take in all of Taehyung. His beauty was remarkable.
Taehyung smiled brightly, ignoring the embarrassing image of Jeongguk getting ready inside and then waiting outside all impatiently for Taehyung to open the door.

It's adorable and it made Taehyung just admire the older ravenette even more.
"Are they for me?" he pointed to the flowers, because for some reason it was the only thing that was able to leave his lips in this situation. As if this question's answer wasn't as obvious as the fact that Jeongguk was undeniably hot.
"I'm not sure," the ravenette spoke, pretending to examine the bouquet for any hints, making Taehyung giggle softly. "Is your name Kim Taehyung?"
"I'm afraid, it is," he spoke softly.
"Then yes, these are for you." Jeongguk finally handed him the bouquet, Taehyung's chest filling with warmth.
"Thank you so much, Gguk. They're beautiful."
"Not as beautiful as you." The ravenette reached out for Taehyung's hand, picking it into his gentle hold and moving it closer to his lips. He pressed a soft kiss on the back of Taehyung's hand while maintaining eye-contact, the blond's cheeks turning bright pink in an instant.
"Okay, Jack Dawson, what was that for?" Taehyung asked and an amused smile played on Jeongguk's lips by that.
"C'mon, put the flowers in a vase and let's go, I.. can't wait anymore."
Taehyung couldn't help, but lean up and give Jeongguk a soft kiss on his cheek, making the older look at him in surprise, then with a small smile. "I'll be right back," Taehyung said, walking inside to put the roses in a vase, just like Jeongguk instructed him to.
When he came back, he could finally take in Jeongguk's outfit, suddenly feeling like the temperature went from 19° to 45° celsius. Jeongguk was wearing tight black jeans and a black button up, which head Taehyung swooning, it perfectly showing Jeongguk's not so small biceps. He was glad the ravenette was also wearing something more on the fancier side, making him feel better in his own outfit, at the same time also curious about what the date will be about.
"I didn't know you have clothes like that," was the only thing Taehyung blurted out.
Jeongguk chuckled. "Most of the time you only look through my hoodies."
Taehyung rolled his eyes, but with still blooming adoration towards the ravenette. "They're comfortable, I'm not to blame. They are literally asking me to wear them," he responded, at the same time putting his shoes on.
Jeongguk didn't say anything to that anymore, but just watched Taehyung softly, until he was ready to leave.
When the blond was ready, he reached out for the his hand, Taehyung placing it in his with a pleased smile. "Are you now going to tell me where we're going?"

"What if I don't?" Jeongguk retorted, having known this would be one of the first questions Taehyung would ask him. They walked towards Hana's car, Jeongguk not having his own car, yet. He usually takes Yoongi's and used to sometimes take his dad's before, but that was no option anymore and Hana's car will do it just fine.
"Are we going far?"
"What if we will?" Jeongguk retorted once more, opening the passenger door in order for Taehyung to enter. The blond squinted his eyes at the ravenette, let go of his hand and sat into the seat, waiting for Jeongguk to take the driver's seat.
"Does that mean, we're going far away?"
Jeongguk smiled, starting the engine. "Would you have a problem with that?"
Taehyung shook his head. "No, why would I?"
"We're not going far. I feel like your expectations are too high for what really is awaiting you," Jeongguk spoke his thoughts out, truthfully.
Taehyung quickly shook his head again. "Not at all! No matter what we're going to do, it will
be perfect as long as we're both present."
Eyes kept on the road, Jeongguk took Taehyung's left hand away from his lap and laced their fingers together. "You're not aware of the things you do to me when you say things like this."
Taehyung's cheeks flushed in an instance. "It's true, though," he whispered, "I only need you."
Jeongguk let a groan out, followed by a deep
chuckle. "I'm driving, but I really want to kiss you right now."
In surprise, Taehyung's eyes looked up to Jeongguk, who held a smile, one that was doing things to him that nothing ever did before. Taehyung blushed, but stayed quiet, scared of stuttering when he admits he wants to kiss Jeongguk just as much.
After 7 minutes of driving in silence, Jeongguk halted his car and Taehyung instantly looked around to figure out where they are. A small grin played on his lips noticing the small restaurant, one that didn't look as fancy as in the movies, but was surely pretty and much to Taehyung's liking, with not many people around.
He turned back to look at Jeongguk. "Are we gonna eat there?"
The ravenette hummed, looking at the younger.
When Taehyung noticed the older's staring, fluster made its way to him. For some reason, even the smallest thing Jeongguk does today makes him all mushy inside, wanting nothing more but to fall into the older's arms, melt there and never leave.
Even more when Jeongguk leaned closer to him, loosening their fingers to reach his arm up and brush a hair stray of the younger's blonde hair behind his ear, his gaze holding such intensity, Taehyung found it hard to keep eye contact.
"You know what?" Jeongguk's voice was deeper than before.
"What?" he questioned in response, almost inaudibly.
"I'm not driving anymore," Jeongguk hushed and closed the distance between their lips. Taehyung kissed back immediately, melting into the kiss.
"Choose whatever you want to eat," Jeongguk said in such an adult manner, it made Taehyung laugh.
"What is?" the older questioned, raising an eyebrow as he leaned a little over the table.
Taehyung smiled, putting his menu card down. "You're acting different today."
Jeongguk leaned back against his chair, crossing his arms over his chest. "Different?"
"So mature," the blond picked the menu card again, skimming the dishes.
"Did I also kiss you differently?"
Taehyung tried to keep his cool, but his red cheeks were reveal of how flustered that question made him. Especially by how dark Jeongguk's voice all of the sudden sounded. "Don't say things like that."
"You said I'm acting different."
"Because you are," Taehyung defended, voice raised a little. Jeongguk is someone with a soft heart, who goofs around and barely takes things serious, unless its required. Today he seemed a little stiff, wary even. Taehyung isn't blind to not notice that Jeongguk was thinking about his steps, before taking them.
"Are you nervous? About this?" The date, Taehyung means.
"No," Jeongguk blurted out, not looking at Taehyung.
"You are," the younger pointed out again, squinting his eyes a little at him.
When Jeongguk's and his eyes locked accidentally, the older gave up. "A little bit maybe."
Taehyung smiled softly. "It's okay, we're just eating. Just like we always did before."
Jeongguk pressed his lips shortly together, before speaking again. "This is different."
"In what way?" Taehyung asked, nervousness bubbling up inside of him. What does that mean? Is he planning something? Will he ask—
"Hello, I'm your waiter for this evening. What would you like to order?" Taehyung's eyes darted up to the waitress with brown hair in a ponytail, that interrupted their conversation, saving Jeongguk from embarrassing himself.
Taehyung smiled at her and then looked to Jeongguk. "I'll have whatever you get."
The ravenette barely nodded, before telling the waitress his and Taehyung's order.
The blond smiled to himself, feeling giddy inside.
