"Who would you most likely want to kiss in this room?"
The blond tensed. Again and for the millionth time that evening, nervousness filling him instantly, feeling like strong weight was pulling him down. Why were they even still playing? Who even plays Truth or Dare for more than one hour?
"I think euhm.."
Jeongguk.
That's what his mind was chanting and he internally cursed at himself. It was easy to ignore all this sudden urges inside of him at the beginning of the party, but being so close to the ravenette, sitting on his lap, knowing damn well he only needed turn around to be able to kiss him, changed it all. Taehyung's palms felt sweaty, his heart beating in his throat as his whole face was probably turning red.
"N-no one?" He answered, hoping they'd let it be, but who would even do that at a party. You have to spill if you pick truth, or you have to drink. Taehyung can't bear alcohol though, which leaves him inly with the hope of the others going easy on him.
But his expectations weren't high, so he wasn't surprised when Hoseok said: "Nah, come on man, just answer! You have to pick one."
And suddenly Taehyung felt cornered, all eyes resting on him and watching him. He wished to disappear right there and forever. His eyes fell down to his hands. He could simply answer with the truth and say it's Jeongguk, because hell he wouldn't want to even think about kissing anyone else but Jeongguk and that's exactly what drove him so crazy.
An other option is, he could lie and name any of the boys in the room, but he didn't want to give any false thoughts to anyone.
He really didn't want to answer this question, or any question in the direction 'who would you rather..' because his choice would always be Jeongguk. And although he tries to deny it the whole time, he knows it's there. Sighing, he reached for a cup filled with beer, a beverage he despised more than anything else. But before his fingertips could even reach the cup, the arms around him tightened and held him on place.

"It's okay, don't answer," Jeongguk's calming voice said, close to his ear.
And before Taehyung could even react, Jeongguk had already reached out for the cup and drink the whole thing, leaving Taehyung to stare at him with widened eyes. "What are you doing?!" He asked in a hushed whisper, everyone else looking at the scenario with stunned expressions.
Jeongguk put the cup aside, giving Taehyung a small smile, before turning to the others. "I drank for him, he can't tolerate alcohol. Also, isn't this game getting boring? We've been playing for an hour."
Taehyung's lips parted.
"Oh man, let's just hear Taehyung's answer,"
BamBam whined, clearly not reading the room.
"Dude, he doesn't wanna answer, let it be, Jeongguk already drank for him" Yoongi spoke, defending Taehyung, who looked down, embarrassed. Everyone who knows him, knew what his answer would've been if he decided to give one.
And Jeongguk probably now knows too what his answer would've been.
Taehyung finally got up from Jeongguk's lap, the older not holding him back anymore as the game ended. "Where are you going?"
Ignoring Jeongguk's question, he walked towards Jimin, informing him y he was going to the restroom, so that he doesn't wonder where he is.
He wasn't aware of the brown orbs following him when he left the room
Reaching the restroom, Taehyung locked the door and finally was able to take the deep well needed breath.
He was going mad. Insane.
His racing heart wouldn't calm down, wouldn't stop making him think about Jeongguk.
This can't be happening. He couldn't have feelings like this towards him, yet he knows damn well that they're now there, inside of him and he was slowly losing the control over them.
Finishing his business on the toilet. Taehyung went to the sink to wash his hands and then his face a little, not tying to ruin his make up, although he thinks about leaving very soon. He doesn't want to spend any more time around Jeongguk. He clearly has to sort his thoughts.
There was a soft knock on the door.
"I-I'm almost done," Taehyung quickly said, wiping his hands, so the next person can go. He wasn't planning on being locked there forever, although he would actually rather do that, then walk back into that room full with people who experienced Taehyung's whole embarrassment earlier.

Once he opened the door though, he wished he never had, finding a tall raven haired leaning against the door frame. "What a-are you doing here?"
Taehyung felt his heartbeat speed up the longer Jeongguk's eyes rested on him.
"Going to the toilet?"
Of course.
Taehyung nodded lightly, eyes falling to the ground as he felt embarrassed to the core because of asking such a dumb question. He wanted to pass the taller boy, but a hand on his wrist stopped him.
"Fuck, no, I wasn't going to the toilet," Jeongguk admitted, causing Taehyung's heartbeat to speed up even more.
Taehyung's puppy eyes looked up to him.
"I wanted to check up on you."
The younger said nothing to comment on that, feeling his lungs tightening. "I'm fine," he simply responded, wanting to walk past him again, but Jeongguk didn't let go of his wrist.
Taehyung sighed. "What do you want?"
"Why didn't you answer earlier?"
He should've known something like this was coming.
"Because I don't want to kiss anyone."
Jeongguk tilted his head. There was a huge wave of nervousness come crashing on Taehyung by that move. Because, Jeongguk knew that was a lie, he knew Taehyung was lying because there was a time the blond could have sworn Jeongguk knew him better than he knew himself.
"If you had to choose someone, though?"
Taehyung couldn't believe Jeongguk was asking this question even though he knew he didn't want to answer.
"Why? Are you hoping I'd choose you?" He had no idea where this came from, but it was there, lingering in the air with a heavy insinuation now.
Jeongguk didn't answer.
Instead, he pulled Taehyung by his wrist there where he was already holding him, until their chests touched. No words were spoken, but their eyes were loud. Taehyung's widened puppy eyes starred up into Jeongguk's deep dark ones in horror.
Jeongguk shortly looked away from Taehyung's eyes, down to where their chests were touching, noticing Taehyung's erratic breathing. He smirked, looking back to the blond's eyes.
"Something tells me you would choose me."
Taehyung felt his heart jump. Still, he denied it. "What— No, why would I want to kiss you? Also if I had chosen someone, it wouldn't mean that I was actually wanting to kiss him. He would be simply the one I'd most likely would to kiss out of the ones who are present," the blond explained, hoping to keep Jeongguk's thoughts away from the path of Taehyung really wanting to kiss him. All in vain.
A deep chuckle left Jeongguk and Taehyung simply froze by that attractive sound. "If that's so, then why didn't you answer?"
"Wh-why would I have to? I didn't want to answer.."
"You would rather drink, than answer that question? C'mon, we both know you hate alcohol."
"So? Maybe times change? Don't pretend like you know me," Taehyung wanted to cross his arms over his chest, but then remembered Jeongguk was still holding his wrist and let it be.
"I'm pretty sure I do know you really well, Taehyung.. Answer the question."
"What?" Taehyung asked confused. "I don't want to answer, that's why I reached out for the drink—
"You didn't drink though, I drank for you. You owe me one," Jeongguk smirked.
Taehyung scoffed. "I owe you nothing, I didn't ask you to drink for me." He cursed at the smile on Jeongguk's lips. It was beautiful. Undeniably, but he hated how it made him feel these stupid butterflies inside, especially now that he was looking directly at him like this.
"Just answer the question." The older demanded again.
Taehyung scoffed another time. "No."
"Okay, I'm going to ask differently..." Jeongguk suddenly moved closer to him, wrapping a hand around Taehyung's waist, making the blond's breath hitch. "What can I do to make you admit that you want to kiss me?"
It felt like his knees were giving in by that question, as if his whole world crumbled down right in front of him.
"Because I'd do anything to hear it."

Are we talking about the same planet? (Reader discretion is advised; Contains Graphic Language and Potentially Excessive Swearing) *¹ Carioca = demonym of someone from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. *² humble and/or hardworking Cariocas = not necessarily mythics, ordinary ones actually exist. *³ precious = inasmuch every living planet is precious. Editor's Note: Someone disable his permission to edit the draft on UnityDocs, please! Hello, I'm McKing and I aim to write an original story with elements I've never seen put together before. Feel free to point out any mistakes you see — I'm not a native speaker, so I'm sure a few will pass me by. Sci-fi; Humor; (Brazilian) Urban Fantasy; faint shades of LitRPG. **Be warned it has a bit of an (absurd) slice-of-life beginning though the story is being subtly (I hope) worked on and eventually shifts gears (a bit). I planned to say that from the beginning, but I forgot to add it.** I hope that you enjoy it and that I can grow as a writer with your contributions. No Fixed Update Schedule. My inspiration comes in bursts and so will the Chapters. Sorry if that displeases you (I love regular updates too), but I'm afraid that's the best I can do for now. Keep in mind that it is a work in progress and things can eventually change a bit - I'll try to always note the changes. Sorry for the bad cover, it was the best my sorry skills could do! I hope you enjoy it,Mcking

Debut: the day every young gentleperson of age gathers to receive their Spirit Blessing and shift for the first time into their second form. Except for those who don't. Beatrice's worst fear is to be one of the unlucky few trapped perpetually in a human body, cut off from the magic of the spirits and unfit for any respectable pack or pride. But when the time comes to face her fear, the outcome is one she never could have imagined. Be warned, this story is some highly experimental fluff—an unapologetically girly, unrelentingly bisexual, Regency/Victorian-ish fantasy mish-mash. It does have a dark side, though, so don’t come in expecting all sunshine and roses. Worthy of note, given the reputation of shifter stories: there will be no explicit sex in this tale. There will, however, be lots of polyamorous romance, necromancy, portal magic, capricious spirits, elemental mages, an unconventional take on shifters and a highly ordered society built around their existence.
