《Hooks Raven{Peter Pan}》Chapter 22

*Ravens POV*
Most woman think that when they are in love, their partner is just the most perfect person ever. I don't know if that's the same for boys but woman are blinded by love.
This is how I feel about Peter. It may not show when I tease him and call him names but it is very true.
This is why on the morning of my wedding I woke up crying. Not because I was happy. I was scared and really sad that the man I would be seeing at the end of the Isle was not Peter. It was Andrew. The man I had vowed never to show any interest in. And I'm not one to break a promise.
"Raven! Good morning darling. How did you sleep?" Samantha gushed bursting into the room.
"Good morning Samantha. I slept horribly." I said stiffly.
"Oh my gosh I am so excited about the wedding. I am so happy that you chose me to be your chief bridesmaid." She said walking over and pulling me out of bed.
"It's not like I had much choice in the matter." I muttered. I had only been here for four days but Andrew wanted to marry me now.
"Okay so I have your dress here. I had jade make it for you. Of course I helped a small bit with the design and things but it was mostly her." She kept blabbing on about it and I just zoned out and started brushing my hair.
"There we go. Raven look at your lovely dress. Isn't it just the prettiest?" Samantha said holding up my dress.
I actually threw up a little in my mouth. The dress was absolutely hideous. It was big and puffy with huge sleeves. There was diamonds stuck on all over the place and it had a matching bag. It was anything but pretty.
"Of course I have a different head piece for you. And as for the brides maids, we'll have pink dresses." She continued.
She walked over and took off my pyjamas. She then proceeded to put the dress on over my head. It was really itchy and it weighed a ton.

"Oh Raven. You look so lovely. That dress really is fabulous. It looks amazing on you. I'll go and call the others. Don't look in the mirror until we have done your hair and makeup." She said before dashing outside.
I didn't want to look in the mirror. I hated this dress and everything to do with it. Not to mention that it was way too tight so I could barely breath.
I was just about to try and loosen it when I heard Samantha walk back in with my troupe of bridesmaids. There were eight in total. All of them were girls from the Cove.
"You see. I told you she looks wonderful." Samantha said to them. They all nodded in agreement and started doing my hair and makeup.
I noticed that three of them who must have only been fourteen or so, held back and just watched as if they weren't allowed to help.
I was actually so bored that I nearly fell asleep only to be startled awake by someone coming up and putting something on my neck.
"It's just me. Sorry I didn't mean to startle you. I just thought I'd give you this." It was one of the girls from earlier. One of the younger ones.
"Oh. Thank you. Where are the others?" I asked looking around. The room was empty apart from me and the girl.
"They all went to get ready but I was done quickly so I came to give this to you. I found it near the bins with your old clothes. I'm Cara by the way." She said giving me the necklace. It was the one Wendy had given to me.
"Did Peter Pan give that to you?" She asked quietly.
"No. My sister did. How do you know about Peter?" I asked her.
"I just guessed. Oh this is Kiara and Jenny." She said pointing to the other two girls who had just come in.
"Nice to meet you both. Um do you think you could help me? My dress is way too tight. Do you know how to loosen it?" I asked them.

"Of course." Kiara said taking out a small knife and cutting the strings attached the back of the dress. "Don't tell anyone. Technically Andrew is supposed to do that according to Samantha."
"Thanks. Where did you get that knife from? I don't know of any girls who just randomly have knives in their back pocket." I said.
"Just for protection. And that's not the only thing we have on us." Jenny answered lifting up her skirt and showing me a sword that was hidden underneath.
"Wow. Even if didn't do that." I said very surprised. Clearly these girls weren't like all of the others in pirate cove.
"Yes well today you will. Here quickly before Samantha comes back. I'll put it on for you." Cara lifting up my dress and attaching the sword to my leg.
"And then I told him "honey, you're not my type however I do know a person who is available." I heard Samantha gossiping on the other side of the door.
I saw Cara, Kiara and Jenny stand back into the shadows and I quickly tucked my necklace into my bodice.
Samantha burst into the room wearing one of the horrible pink bridesmaid dresses that every one was forced to wear.
"Raven I just got your head piece and...your wedding photographer. He is so good you have no idea. Your photos will be printed and you will get to see them immediately." She said walking over and putting on the awful head thing that weighed even more than the dress if possible.
"Okay ladies give her some room. Now if I could just get you all to pose nicely for me and I'll take a picture of the bride and her bridesmaids." The photographer said holding up his camera.
Samantha arranged everyone in a circle and we took a few pictures before Samantha decided it was time to go. Cara and Kiara helped me stand up and Jenny handed me my bouquet.
"Ready?" She whispered.
"No way." I whispered back.
The girls lined up in front of me and I stood at the back. By myself. I heard the music start playing and my bridesmaids walked out in front of me. Andrew had decided to hold the wedding on board dad's ship. It was covered in flowers and ribbons and other silly things.
I walked out into the sunshine and everyone stood up on either side of me. All of the pirates were invited of course and they had tried to look their best. Which didn't make much of a difference anyway
I looked passed the cloud of pink that was my bridesmaids and I saw Andrew standing at the end of the makeshift isle. He was wearing a bright yellow suit with purple bow tie. He looked almost as awful as I did.
I finally reached the end of the Isle and the ceremony began. I soon zoned out and started to look around at the guests. There was a few people that I noticed standing there including Mr
Smee. He was sobbing away into a hankie.
I saw someone at the corner of my eye suddenly and I was about to turn around to get a better look when suddenly I heard Andrew start saying his vows.
"And do you Raven Alexandra Elizabeth Hook take Andrew Francesco Parkins to be your lawfully wedded husband?" I heard the man say. That wasn't my name for starters.
I suddenly saw that person again but this time they were closer. So close in fact that I could see their face. It was Hunter.
He was standing behind Andrew and shaking his head. He mouthed the words "Don't do it. The others are coming." Or something along those lines.
I knew what I had to do. I looked Andrew right in the eye.
"No."

Wander West, in Shadow
BOOK 1 COMPLETED A young wizard journeys west, through dark forests and dangerous lands, searching for something. Accompanied by a wild witch who has secrets of her own, they come across terrible creatures, hauntings, cursed villages, and memories from their past. Who else will they meet along their journey, and to find what he is looking for, how far will the wizard have to wander west? NOTE: The above synopsis is intentionally written to be as spoiler-free as possible. If you would like a more in-detail synopsis, one that contains minor spoilers, please check out the "Synopsis" chapter at the beginning of this fiction. If you read and enjoy, please leave a rating or review! FORMERLY TITLED: THE GLIMMERLING This story was formerly titled "The Glimmerling", because the first part was a short story of that title; it has since been expanded upon, thus the title change. Chapters 1-8 (30k words) are the first 'arc', if you want to get a feel for the story. To give some context on the setting: Magic is a bit weaker in this story than you might be used to, and we start off following some relatively new magic users. For some perspective, being able to light a campfire with magic is considered relatively advanced for someone who is the age of the main character. Magic can become very powerful - and there are some examples of powerful wizards within this story - but it's not where the main characters are yet. Part of the story is about following them as they learn more about magic. Enemies are also very dangerous, and running, hiding, or trying to talk their way out of a dangerous situation is often a better choice than fighting for the characters. While I have added tags for traumatizing content, sexuality, violence, swearing, etc. I try to avoid super-explicit descriptions of these things. But they are part of the story.

Dear Spellbook (Rewrite)
Live. Study. Repeat. Tal never saw himself as an adventurer, but the call to adventure never much cared for his opinion. Despite his best efforts, his search for answers on the murder of his parents ever draws him into danger. Accompanied by a group of seasoned warriors, thus far Tal has gotten by on his own meager magical talents, but when one day he wakes up to find himself back in his bed of the night before, he is faced with a challenge he must conquer alone. What to expect: This story was born of an attempt to create in world lore reasons for many of the mechanics and tropes of D&D, but you do not need to know of them to enjoy the story. It's a single POV time loop story with slow paced progression fantasy elements. The story is not one of fast-paced power ups and non-stop action, but as it progresses, the action picks up. There is a lot of magic system exploration on a system built to unify the diverse magic of D&D into one cohesive magic system. The setting is an original world with familiar races and monsters but with new unique origins and motivations. The average chapter will be 2-5k words long, most being around 3k but there are a few less than 1k, due to the nature of the story telling device I used. Book 1 is complete. Posting is on hold until I finish book 2. Book 2 progress: The rough draft is done at 141656 words as of 7/9/2022. I need to reread and edit it but Im aiming for resuming chapters in September.

"Oh boy." Warning! - There is likely not enough tags I can put up for this novel so please take this frontal warning instead. I can promise you a great deal of horror, gore, chaos and pure edge, but also everything on the opposite site of the spectrum from side characters. To be blunt, the MC is not a good person, so unless you're interested in such a thing, I'd strongly advise you to not read Currant Choir.
