《LITTLE FURY ( fairy tail. )》CHAPTER FORTY-THREE ➵ CLOUD BETRAYAL

Dealana didn't stop by the guild hall the following day, which was understandable to those who were aware this time of year's significance. The Thunder Legion had already made plans to check on her and make sure she was taking care of herself the next time they spotted her. She was planning to spend her time wandering around Magnolia aimlessly. The strange thing was that the weather was surprising sunny and clear that day.
The Storm Dragon Slayer naturally assumed it had to do with her new magic casting technique that she learned from the great Thunderbird. On top of that odd occurence, Dealana still had the feeling in her gut saying that something was brewing on the horizon, but she didn't know what it was or whether it was good or bad.
Sometime around mid-day, Dealana noticed the dark clouds beginning to roll in. Her gut feeling was growing stronger as she watched the clouds approaching. It could very well be her anxiety of whatever she believed was going to happen that was causing the incoming storm. She took a few deep breaths to calm herself in hopes of clearing away the brewing storm, but it kept coming.
Glaring at the clouds, Dealana raised her hands, a magic seal the color of the bright blue sky appearing as she attempted to push the storm away. But she found that she couldn't dissipate the coming storm, which only pushed more confusion onto her plate.
As the rain began to fall and hit her face, Dealana frowned upon hearing the distant thunder. Whatever the gut feeling she had, it wasn't a good one if she was supposed to take the coming rain as an omen. The clouds began to spiral inwards and the sky was completely shielded from view. When she attempted to channel the rainstorm, Dealana found that she couldn't. She tried conjuring a cloud only to have it join the others above.
She was a Storm Dragon Slayer and known across Fiore as the Tempest, and yet her own clouds betray her. The bad feeling only grew and Dealana took off in a sprint, determined to reach the guild hall and get help figuring this out. Her bare feet splashed against the cobble stones and she was very thankful she had since found a basic protection spell for her bracelets after the incident before.
Something bad was happening and Dealana couldn't even shift the weather even a little bit. Nothing like this had happened and now really wasn't the best time for it to happen. She was freaked out.
As she ran, Dealana watched the clouds begin to circle, furthering the fear building in her chest as she pushed herself to run further.

Meanwhile, back in the guild hall, everyone looked out the window at the growing rain. Knowing what time of year it was, they all assumed it was Dealana. And after the whole Daphne incident, they just figured that her emotions were a bit out of sorts and she was having a bit of trouble controlling it.
Mirajane and Elfman were prepping to visit the church while Lucy questioned to Levy and Cana nearby why they would be going out in that weather in the first place. Levy didn't know but Cana was aware and answered.

"The anniversary of Lisanna's death is coming up," She glanced over briefly to the two siblings getting ready by the door.
"I've heard that name," Lucy recalled a few times it was mentioned, including yesterday when Happy was telling the story about Natsu and Gildarts.
"She was Mirajane and Elfman's sister, remember?" Levy told her as she began to put the pieces together in her head. "They all went on a job two years ago but she didn't make it back. Now that I think about it, everytime the anniversary comes around, they tend to spend a lot of time at the church."
Cana finished another sip of her barrel before saying, "Lisanna was also Dealana's best friend, despite being a few years older. They were inseparable and when they left on the job, Lisanna and Dealana traded their friendship bracelets as a promise to come home." She sighed looking at the rain outside again. "She takes it just as hard every year."
Lucy was silent for a few moments, processing the new information. It now made sense to her why Dealana always wore the pink bracelet around her ankle. The busty blonde could only assume the yellow one that joined it shortly after the Battle of Fairy Tail was meant to represent the hope of Laxus being able to rejoin Fairy Tail someday.
"Oh, wow, I had no idea," Lucy finally spoke up quietly.
"I never really noticed before," Cana suddenly said looking at the blond, "but you kind of remind me of her, Lucy."
Lucy wasn't sure how to respond to that, managing to say, "That's...cool," Meanwhile, Levy smiled and added on in a slight joking manner, "It's 'cause she's so close to Natsu."

Dealana cursed herself for winding up on the opposite side of town before the storm came in. As the clouds began to swirl faster, Dealana suddenly noticed a hunched over figure in the middle of the street. As she came closer, she saw how they wore a baggyish cloak and had several magic staffs on their back.
She began to slow to a halt. "Mystogan..." She whispered. Said man somehow heard her in the rain and glanced over his shoulder, revealing his unmasked face to be identical to Jellal. Their eyes widened upon seeing the other and Dealana jogged closer. "Jellal? Mystogan?" She questioned before muttering to herself, "How freaking many names do you even have?"
"Dealana," He nodded, seeming to be in some sort of pain. "I'm not the Jellal you know, but there isn't anymore time. You need to get out of Magnolia before it's too late." Dealana frowned at his words. She had spent a good amount of time running to the guild hall. The thought that he knew what was up with the weather suddenly occurred to her as she reached his side.
"Does it have to do with the weather I can't manipulate?" She asked. Mystogan hesitated before nodding. He wasn't expecting for Dealana to kneel down and wrap one of his arms around her shoulder to help him to his feet. "Then you can explain it to me while we try to make it to the guild in time."

"Dealana, there is no time!" Mystogan tried to tell her.
"Then make time! The guild is in potential danger. Our guild." Dealana began to push forward in the rain, her pace much slower as she helped Mystogan along. "I'm not going to run away when there's still the chance to do something, and you should know better than to even think I would abandon our guild mates."
As they moved, a horrible sound came from above. They both looked up to see a flashing light where the clouds swirled to meet in the center over Magnolia. "Mystogan..." Dealana warned. "If that is going to destroy Fairy Tail you better pray it takes us both along with it or I will bury you six feet under!" The buildings around them were beginning to be enveloped in light, bits of the street rising into the air.
"It's the anima..." Mystogan muttered as they stopped. Whatever was happening, Dealana knew that with her pit stop to help Mystogan, she wasn't going to make it to the guild hall in time. She still had to try. Lightning cracked down around the guild hall and other spots around the city as it began to disappear. The wind began to pick up and swirl around in a massive tornado.
Dealana's two twin braids and her the hood of her jacket were caught up with the wind and waving around wildly as was Mystogan's loose clothing. The city around them was disappearing into the light in the sky until the only thing left was barren land. Bubbles of some kind were still floating upwards towards the sky that was beginning to calm.
The Storm Dragon Slayer looked around in silence. Everything was gone. Magnolia, Fairy Tail, all her friends were gone. Tears began to pool in her eyes, but they didn't fall. She waved her free hand at the clouds that were left at ground level. They moved and reshaped themselves at her silent command. She curled her hand into a ball in silent anger, watching as the cloud dissipated instantly.
"You have some explaining to do, Mystogan," Dealana hissed at the blue-haired mage. Before Mystogan could even begin to explain the world known as Edolas, the Anima begin to glow bright, rings of light flowed out like waves before they were drawn back in to shine even brighter than before. Dealana had to close her eyes until it faded.
"They...they went in the Anima..." Mystogan realized.
Dealana's head snapped to Mystogan, "Who? Who went in the Anima? What does it even do!?" She shouted, unable to mask the helplessness she was feeling at the moment. Mystogan looked at the girl and took note of the tears threatening to spill down her cheeks at any given moment.
"I'm not sure who exactly, but the Anima is a spell set on the border of this world and Edolas," Mystogan explained. Dealana didn't know what Edolas was, but she figured he would reveal that next. "Edolas is the world on the other side, and they have a limited supply of magic power, which is why the Anima spell was created." Mystogan looked around the area that once was the peaceful city of Magnolia before his gaze returned to the blue and violet one that belonged to Dealana. "Dealana, I need your help if you want to save Magnolia."
The Storm Dragon Slayer gave him a look. "Are you seriously asking if I want to help right now? Just a moment ago, you were telling me to get as far away as I could!" Mystogan winced and closed his eyes, releasing a sigh. Even if he never spent much time at the guild hall, anyone from Fairy Tail knew how temperamental the Tempest could be.
Finally, he looked at her with a serious expression saying, "There won't be much time, so here's what you'll have to do..."

"Stupid Mystogan and his stupid homeland!" Dealana cursed as she surfed on a cloud among the floating islands of Edolas. The alternate world was certainly amazing to see and explore, that much Dealana could admit. The sky was a lime green color and there was even a river in the sky. Dealana had never seen anything like it, but she wasn't here to sight see.
She had dragged Mystogan closer to the guild hall as he began to explain the workings of Edolas and how Fairy Tail and all of Magnolia had been turned into a giant lacrima. The king of Edolas was planning to use said lacrima containing their friends to power Edolas with magic since their natural supply was limited.
Landing on yet another island, Dealana hopped off her cloud in search of someone to get instructions from as Mystogan had not informed her of the layout. He gave her a magic red candy ball that let her use magic and a destination. The rest was up to her.
"Stupid Mystogan," Dealana continued to grumble as she walked along, keeping her ears open for the sound of anyone or anything around her. With all the new and unfamiliar scents around her, Dealana's sense of smell was out of commission for the time being. Her heterochromatic eyes scanned the area but found nothing. She sighed and went to turn around and just cloud surf to a different island, however, when she turned around, she ran smack into wall.
Correction, not a wall, Dealana had run into a person that happened to be stealthily following her.
Her eyes widened and she scrambled backwards just enough to flip herself back to her feet. Getting into a defensive position she glared at the rather amused young adult in front of her. He had dark hair and yellow cat-like eyes that shone with mischief. He wore a simple khaki-colored shirt with slight embroidery around the edges and a black undershirt along with black pants. Additionally, he wore a forest green scarf that flowed a good length behind him as he walked.
"Who's this Mystogan guy you keep grumbling about?" He questioned before his smile dropped and his hand went behind his back, most likely for a weapon of sorts. "Better question, who the hell are you going around looking like Dealana?"
