《LITTLE FURY ( fairy tail. )》CHAPTER THIRTY ➵ ALLIES REUNITED

➵
Gray was running through the empty city with Lucy and Jura, making their way for the King's Summit in order to defeat Brain. At first when Natsu, Carla and him found the Oración Seis' base of operations, Gray believed Natsu had rescued Dealana along with Wendy and Happy while he stayed to fight Racer. When he reunited with Natsu and Lucy, he learned that Brain separated the two girls and Fairy Tail's Tempest was at the mercy of Cobra.
Knowing Dealana, she would annoy the heck out of whoever kept her captive, and the thought that Cobra could easily act upon his annoyance and take it out on Dealana scared him. From what Lucy had gathered from Wendy, the Oración Seis used her to revive Jellal in order to find Nirvana, which they wanted to use Dealana to unlock somehow. When the pillar of black light shot in the sky, Gray and the others were terrified knowing Dealana and then Erza were in the middle of it all potentially with Jellal.
A large explosion happened ahead of the group, startling Gray out of his thoughts. "Woah! What was that?"
"Maybe one of our allies needs help," Jura guessed.
"An over the top explosion?" Lucy wondered with a knowing smile.
"Bet ya I know who caused it,"
"Natsu makes it easy for us to find him," Lucy remarked.
"No kiddin'" Gray replied. As they were running, Jura took note of an odd sight and slowed his pace a bit. Gray and Lucy noticed Jura's change of movements. "Hey, Jura, what's up?"
"That cloud," he pointed a finger at a puffy white cloud moving along at an abnormal pace while swaying side to side. No other clouds were around plus, Gray and Lucy would know that cloud anywhere.
"Dealana!" Gray and Lucy shouted in hopes of getting the girl's attention. She slowly came into view as she maneuvered skillfully over to them. Upon seeing their faces, Dealana's lips spread into a wide grin.
"Gray! Lucy! Jura!" She called back moving to hover on her cloud beside them. She didn't appear hurt in any way, a little scratched up but otherwise intact. "You guys are okay!"
"We're okay? What about you? We heard you were with Cobra!" Lucy exclaimed as they all continued toward the Summit.
"I'm fine," Dealana waved them off. "They knew enough about my magic to know that I would use a storm to lead you guys to their base so to prevent that and add incentive for Wendy, I was stuck with Cobra while I slowly regained my magic energy." She quickly explained. "I'm still not up to full after the earthquake, and being on Nirvana makes me sick. I'm stuck on my cloud for the time being."
"An earthquake of that magnitude was quite impressive. Truly fitting of the name Tempest. Though I'm more relieved to see you're alright." Jura told her.
"It knocked everything outta me, though," Dealana grinned. She looked to Gray and tilted her head, "Something on my face?"
"You're okay," Gray breathed a sigh of relief before looking at her with a proud smirk. "You really had us worried. Wait, what about Erza?" he asked.
Dealana frowned. "I was separated, so I don't really know. I believe she's fine." Dealana deliberately left out the part about saving Jellal, not knowing where everyone stood on that matter of business.

All of a sudden, Dealana's cloud came to halt as she yelped, covering her sensitive ears from Natsu's loud scream. She could almost hear the roar of a dragon behind it. It didn't sound like Arashi, the Storm Dragon's roar sounded like the hissing and crackling of lightning before thunder boomed loudly a few seconds after. This was different. Dealana could only assume it was the power of Igneel shining through Natsu.
"Dealana, you okay?" she vaguely heard Lucy ask her in concern. Dealana removed her hands from her ears and gave her a quick nod.
"Yeah, Natsu's scream was just really loud,"
"That was Natsu!?" Lucy shouted in surprise causing Dealana to wince again, her ears still sensitive.
"Yeah, I mean, who else could it be?" the sky-bluenette shrugged. Dealana realized that this meant Cobra was probably defeated, if her ears picked up on that, his hearing magic definitely did. Though she would say it to her friends, she kind of hoped Cobra would be okay.

"There he is!" Gray shouted as they came upon Brain dragging Natsu by his scarf. Dealana glanced around to see Cubellios near a fallen Cobra. her heterochromatic eyes noticed the blast taken to his back and from the smell, knew the final blow wasn't from Natsu.
"Natsu!" Lucy cried in alarm, "What happened to you?" she then asked in a much more curious tone.
"It's moving. I just can't handle it." Natsu replied in a weak voice, his motion sickness getting the better off him.
"Hey guys..." Happy greeted them shakily from where he lay on the floor. Dealana moved her cloud closer to the blue cat. "Please help!"
"Are you okay?" Lucy asked worriedly.
"Sir cat is still alive," Jura told them while Dealana reshaped her cloud to sit on.
She pulled Happy onto her cloud as he said, "You guys gotta save Natsu. Brain's taking him away..."
"The six demons have been cut down to a meager three," Brain spoke up. "We've been chopped in half. So in order to stop the bleeding in our once healthy ranks, I will fortify them with this one." He said in reference to a particularly pathetic looking Natsu.
"I always knew this was going to happen someday," Gray stated. "One of these Dark Guilds was going to try and pull Natsu over to their side, though I figured they'd try get Dealana first."
"I'd like to see them try!" Dealana retorted with a small grin.
"You must be out of your mind if you think you're ever going to get that hard head to cooperate with you." Lucy glared, putting her hands on her hips.
"Yeah, I mean, Lucy's been trying to get through his thick skull since she met him," Dealana shrugged.
"...she loooves him..." Happy managed to tease the blonde weakly.
"Shut up, you two!" Lucy snapped comedically.
"Once Nirvana darkens his heart, he will gladly do my bidding." Brain told them with an evil smile. "His goals and my own will be intertwined." They were all surprised when Natsu then bit Brain's arm. Brain didn't show any pain as he lifted his arm, with Natsu still attached, in the air saying, "You still have the strength to fight!?" Dealana winced as Natsu was tossed harshly onto the ground again by his scarf.

"I...I'm...so...sick," Natsu managed to groan.
"The spirit is strong, but the stomach is weak." Jura summarized accurately while Gray replied, "Yeah, you can say that again. Kind of gets in the way."
"Help me...please help me..." Natsu begged, trying to contain the vomit rising in his throat. "I'm begging you...beat this guy...and stop this thing..."
"Oh, we're gonna stop it," Gray told him. "but not just for your sake."
"Yeah," Lucy nodded, looking rather determined. It was then that Dealana noticed her new outfit and how it matched Natsu's new clothing.
"Oh, she definitely loooves him," she muttered to herself. The Storm Dragon Slayer's lips twitched into a small smile as she heard a whispered, "Aye," from Happy who was now resting on Dealana's cloud. Neither noticed the slowly fading effects of poison from Happy's body as he lay on the cloud.
"Is that so?" Dealana choked on her spit before realizing Brain was referring to Gray's comment about stopping Nirvana. "You'll stop Nirvana? Try your best," he sneered. "but you musn't waste any time. We're quickly approaching our first target. The Cait Shelter guild hall."
Dealana felt her blood grow cold. That was Wendy and Carla's guild. As if reading her thoughts, Happy spoke up saying, "That's the guild Carla and Wendy belong to. Why them?" he asked Brain.
"What is your objective?" Jura asked when all Happy received for an answer was a malicious chuckle. "What could you possibly hope to gain from their loss?"
"The world on its head. In the blink of an eye, this guild of light will be consumed in darkness. Oh, the things we shall see." Brain told them. "What splendid horrors await us!"
Dealana didn't hear Lucy or Gray after that. She was focused on Jura, who was now glowing with an aura of radiating magic power. "You still haven't told me," Jura said with a stern glare. "What do you hope you gain?" The Wizard Saint demanded. Beside Jura, Dealana could see Gray shaking at the sheer power Jura exerted.
Brain only laughed like a mad man. "I don't have to answer to you! I hold the reins of light and darkness! Kneel before me and ask for one thing only! For mercy!"
Jura stepped forward. "What a bothersome fool,"
"What are you doing?" Gray asked.
"He's far too delusional to hold a conversation," Jura replied.
"You hear me? I asked you to kneel!" Brain said extending his staff to shoot a blast of dark magic. Jura countered by lifting a mere two fingers before a dozen boulders lifted off the ground at his command and were launched forward, colliding easily with Brain and sending him crashing into a wall. The resounding explosion shook Nirvana and displayed just how powerful a Wizard Saint could be. Dealana had been there for Gramps to beat Jose in a battle, but Jura wasn't nearly as powerful as Gramps. But this power...Dealana couldn't imagine what Gramps was capable of.
"Iron Rock, Jura is one of the Ten Wizard Saints, just like Master Makarov," Happy remarked as Dealana maneuvered her cloud closer to Lucy and Gray. The blue cat was already looking much better than Natsu in terms of being previously poisoned.
But Dealana wasn't focused on that. She was much more interested in the battle that would occur between Jura and Brain. The immense power of Jura was revealed as he manipulated the earth into walls of iron, able to defend against Brain's magic. When the walls were broken through, Jura manipulated the rock to shift the spell's direction causing the attack to miss. Even more impressive was Jura taking the broken rocks and creating a new weapon out of them.
Dealana was mildly concerned for Natsu who still lay immobile, motion sick, and poisoned in the midst of the battle.
When Brain was finally defeated, Dealana maneuvered her cloud over to Natsu and extended her cloud while Gray, Lucy and Jura approached Brain. Dealana and Happy worked together and managed to heave Natsu onto Dealana's cloud. The pyro immediately felt a little better, but the motion sickness had yet to fade and poison remained in his body.
"Thanks...Happy, Dealana..." Natsu gave them a tired smile. Brain then spouted vague words about keeping him at bay and all Dealana could do was groan.
"Great, another him what are we dealing with now? The Oración Ocho?" Gray, Lucy and Jura looked at her confused, but Happy snorted, being the only one to understand the meaning behind Dealana's comment.
"Hey! Guys!" Dealana's head snapped over to see Wendy running over to them with Carla on her heels. "Wendy!" Dealana called back, instantly relieved that the bluenette was okay.
"Just as I thought, only those hooligans would cause such a ruckus," Dealana heard Carla say.
"Nice to see you too, Carla," Dealana shot back with a slight grin, while Happy perked up hearing the she-cat's voice, "Carla!" he exclaimed happily before flopping back on the cloud, not quite rested enough.
"We're in trouble! I think this city is heading straight for my guild for some reason!" Wendy told them, distress laced in her words.
"Don't worry, everything's going to be okay," Gray told her before glancing back at the defeated Brain. Wendy followed his gaze and gasped in shock. "His buddy, the snake charmer, is lying right over there."
"Wow," Wendy breathed. Amazed at the Fairy Tail wizards. Dealana felt a bad for Cobra lying all alone, Cubellios was no longer with him. She then began to feel rather tired, which didn't make any sense. Her cloud spell was among her most efficient, taking barely any magic power to produce a basic one for floating about. She missed Lucy's explanation about Brain being the one who had been controlling Nirvana and with him out of the game, the city should stop soon.
Dealana felt really tired. She barely registered falling backwards as her vision began to blur. The cloud beneath her, Happy and Natsu dissipated as Dealana fell unconscious. She vaguely heard their concerned voices before someone caught her in their arms.
"Dea...!" was the last thing she heard. She knew that name...
In Dealana's delirium, Gray, who was holding her, heard the girl call out in a quiet voice. "Lissa...?"

Any guesses as to what happened with Dealana? I'll give you a hint, it has to do with her cloud spell. ;P
I'm sad. Cobra is defeated and with him went some of my will to write, (I'm being overdramatic) but I'm getting ideas for the future arcs and that makes me want to hurry and finish this one, but I still need to give the Oración Seis arc the story it deserves with Dealana. You feel me? Anyways, questions, comments or theories? I'd love to hear them! :)

Remorse
I have killed many people over my long life. Men, women, children. None have escaped the shadows that I control. It was only one tiny mistake that I made that changed my life forever. I underestimated her, and I would pay for my hubris. “For every death you have given, you will feel their pain.” What? “For every person you have killed, you will feel regret.” Wait, wait… “For every murder you have commited, you will know what you have done.” I don’t think this is going to be pretty. The power leaves her voice as she continues in a softer tone. “I will give you back what you have lost, you will feel empathy again.” Her power releases me and I fall to the ground. Diana. That was her name. I will remember it. ******** This story starts out somewhat dark, but it will lighten up after the first chapter. I tend to not enjoy the psychological tag too much since stories with the tag tend to be a little insane for my liking, but I feel that I would be remiss not putting it on this story, since a lot of it is about the psychology of the main character. All the content warnings are checked since I want to leave my options open to me for the future. I hope you enjoy.
