《LITTLE FURY ( fairy tail. )》CHAPTER EIGHTEEN ➵ THUNDER PALACE

"I was actually hoping you'd say that." Dealana's smirk morphed into a look of determination. She wasn't going to lose. Not to Bickslow. Not to Laxus. Bickslow was only a hurdle she had to get over before the real battle got underway.
Dealana jumped into the air to avoid the attacks of Bickslow's 'babies' and landed on a cloud a few feet out from the balcony. Her fists were engulfed in storms before she leapt forward, appearing behind Bickslow in an instant.
As she swung, Bickslow was a step ahead of her and dodged effortlessly. "You're gonna have to try harder than that, little Lana!"
"Little Lana! Little Lana!"
Dealana growled and launched herself up and flung her storm covered arms in his direction, "Storm Dragon Wing Attack!"
Laughing, Bickslow dodged with use of acrobatics but as the smoke cleared, Dealana smirked. The real targets had been destroyed, his 'babies'. However before she could relish in the moment, she was hit with a blast of magic from behind. She grunted in pain as crashed back down to the ground, recovering slowly.
Floating behind her, were new dolls from the toy store nearby.
"Damn." Dealana spit to the side as she watched his new dolls float around him, "This may be harder than I thought." she muttered while Bickslow laughed.

Back at Fairy Tail, Evergreen had just been defeated by Erza and the girls were released from their stone states. "Well, Laxus! You're all out of hostages, boy. Can't continue with your game now, can you?" Makarov said triumphantly. The girls were quickly filled in on Laxus' game and they weren't amused.
A red skull hologram made out of runes had appeared and from it came Laxus' voice informing them of the change in rules. He activated the Thunder Palace. Not long after, Makarov collapsed and Mira ran off to get his medicine. The rest of them went to figure out what the Thunder Palace was, which only ended with Bisca seriously injured by taking out just one of the lacrima.
"We've gotta take down Laxus and fast." Cana informed them.
"Okay, in the meantime, I'll help the citizens evacuate." Lucy nodded, before the distant rumbling of thunder caught their attention.
"Woah! Look over there!" Happy commented on the brewing storm clouds in a corner of Magnolia.
"What's with the weather all of a sudden?" Gajeel questioned before the runes updated and Happy read them out loud.
"Dealana versus Bickslow, in progress."
"Do you think she'll be able to win?" Lucy asked knowing of all the recent struggles with magic.
"Oh, yeah!" Natsu cheered, "She's got this easy."
"Don't forget, Dealana used to train with the Thunder Legion and Laxus before they grew apart." Happy reminded them.
"I'm sure this'll be an interesting fight." Gajeel smirked.
➵
Dealana performed a series of back flips to avoid the magical blasts sent from Bickslow's 'babies'. No matter how many she took down, he was always able to move the souls into other dolls making Dealana waster her magic energy. Their battle had lead them to the roof of the store as the storm dragon slayer kind of blasted a hole in the ceiling with her Storm Dragon Roar.

"Bickslow! You're a bastard! You know that!?" she yelled at him.
"Awe, little Lana, didn't we talk about your language?" Bickslow laughed, "Seriously, how do you expect to beat me if you keep wasting your magic like that. You know you've never beaten me before, right?"
"Right? Right?"
"That was before you started acting like a jerk!" Dealana yelled at him before she noticed the lacrimae in the sky. Her dual-colored eyes widened and Bickslow used this opportunity to land a hit on Dealana.
"Baryon Formation!" At Bickslow's command, all of his dolls positioned themselves in a pentagonal pattern. A massive and powerful magical beam generated and fired towards Dealana in a whirlwind. The explosion was fairly large but when the smoke cleared, Dealana still stood tall, her dress a little worse for wear, but her gauntlets took a great deal of the blow as she held them in a 'x' shape in front of her.
"He activated the Thunder Palace?" Dealana questioned, shaking with anger, "Is he an idiot?"
"Ha, ha! Don't worry about it Little Lana, by the time this is all over, Laxus will be the new master of Fairy Tail before it's activated.
"Yeah!" his 'babies' said, "Don't worry!"
"If that's the case, I'll have to beat you and destroy them!" Dealana decided.
"Nuh-uh, not if you want the magic to be sent right back at ya." Bickslow taunted, but he grew confused as Dealana smirked.
"Right back at me, huh?" she questioned taking a few deep breaths, "You know I kind of need a recharge, don't you think?" with that she sucked in a large amount of air before sending it back out with a terrifying shout,"Storm Dragon Roar!"
Bickslow watched as she was able to destroy two lacrimae. "Didn't you hear me? That wasn't smart, Little Lana."
"Not smart. Not smart."
The body-link magic released giant bolts of lightning down onto Dealana. Bickslow sighed, thinking he wasn't going to get to fight her any more. But he didn't hear her screams and then he finally remember just who Dealana was. Tempest. His eyes snapped back to see that Dealana was sucking in the lightning and ate it all before wiping her mouth, a grin splitting her lips.
"That really hit the spot. I hate to sound like Natsu, but now I've got a storm brewing and I'm ready to set it free."
"Looks like I'll have to use the big guns." Bickslow grinned back and reached for his helmet. He had taken it off but not in time.
"Not gonna happen!" Dealana shouted, "A storm in my left hand and a storm in my right," a storm of lightning engulfed her left hand while a storm of wind and snow engulfed her right, "put them together and this is what you get!" she combined the two to create a massive explosion of elements. As she yelled out the spell, she could feel her magic growing more and more unstable as her emotions clouded her judgement, but she didn't care about that now, "Storm Dragon! Raging Disasters!"
The aftermath wasn't pretty and Natsu, Gajeel, and Levy saw it all from the guild hall. Dealana's attack ripped through part of the town, Lucy jumped out of the way with Happy right behind her.

"Woah! What was that?" Lucy gasped, holding a hand to her rapid heartbeat.
"That's Dealana for ya!" Happy replied
Meanwhile Gajeel gulped a little while Natsu smirked. "Dealana kicked his butt! Nice job!" Natsu grinned, unsurprised.
"No way! That little runt has an attack that strong?" Gajeel exclaimed, further realizing that when Natsu said she was strong, he really meant it.
"Yeah, she's tough as nails."
"Huh? I guess I got lucky when she wasn't able to fight back then." Gajeel muttered.

Back to Dealana, her hair was now free and flowing in loose waves while her outfit could use some TLC. She stood from the rubble only to stumble a bit, a searing pain along her back. Glancing over slightly, she saw a wicked gash running from her left shoulder down her back, the blood soaking through the back of her dress, staining the pastel yellow a crimson red.
"Well, at least, no one will call me cute anymore. I'll have to apologize to Erza about the dress," she looked up at the remaining Thunder Palace lacrimae, "Right after I kick Laxus' butt.".
Slowly but surely, Dealana trudged through town in search of Laxus, the coppery smell of her blood making it a bit difficult to catch Laxus' scent. In the distance, she noticed a sight that made her smile. Freed and the she-devil were fighting in the sky, the longer she watched, the more Dealana's lips twitched into a sharp toothed grin. Mira was back in action. Dealana read the runes that appeared in front of her while clutching her injured shoulder.
"Freed versus Mirajane, both wizards forfeit." Dealana chuckled, ignoring the blood spatter trail she may or may not have been slowly leaving behind her, "I guess that means just one is left. Laxus. I'm coming for you."
➵
Dealana heard the loud explosion from the church from where she was on the other side of town. "Kardia Cathedral!" she gasped and picked up her pace, from a stumbling walk to a endurable jog. She had to make it. She had to be able to face Laxus. She had to be able to beat Laxus or at least die trying.
She was almost there when she heard a familiar voice in her head. Erza was asking for help. 'Hang on Erza.' Dealana thought as she continued pushing herself forward.
"The Thunder Palace, I need to destroy them all at once." Erza said standing up, she summoned yet another sword and grit her teeth to help hide the already evident pain. "I still need to conjure another 100 swords to destroy all the lacrima."
"Hey, Fairy Tailers, can you hear me?"
"That's Warren." Erza gasped.
"Things aren't looking so good for us. Check out what's floating in the sky."
"He's using his telepathy." She realized.
"We're gonna have to pull together, so get off your butts and lend us a hand. If any of you are still fighting, just give it a rest for a second. Now listen carefully. Those lacrima up there are part of a spell called the Thunder Palace. Laxus is using it to threaten the entire town, so we have to take it out before he can set it off. We don't have much time, so we have to work together."
"Wait a minute. How did you find out about the Thunder Palace, Warren?" Erza asked.
"I've never been happier to hear your voice." It was a new voice, but a good one. Gray. "I was worried about you."
"Gray. I see, so you're the one that told him." Erza smiled.
"Yeah. Would've happened sooner, but I had to track the guy down." Gray informed her. The others of the guild grew concerned about whether the other girls were free from stone.
"There's one problem––my telepathy can't reach all the way to the guild hall, so we'll have to make do with the people who can hear me. If we work together, we can do this." Warren said before the bickering began. As Dealana listened to Lucy giving her speech. Realization slapped her in the face as did her hand as she face palmed.
"I can't believe I was such an idiot!" Dealana said, not caring that Fairy Tail could hear her. She wasted no more time and directed a massive stormy cloud into the sky before she cast a spell, "Storm Dragon Lightning Frenzy!" the cloud thundered before numerous bolts of lightning shot into the sky and took down over a dozen lacrima. Judging from the trajectory, Erza realized the sky-bluenette was close by.
"Dealana? Where are you?" Erza questioned before the lightning struck down one street over.
"Dealana!? Dealana?" Some of the guild shouted in worry, before Erza heard the ground shake. A foot emerged from around the corner and when the person it belonged to touched the ground, it cracked beneath their step with the sound of thunder following it. Erza's eyes widened.
Dealana emerged fully, but she looked much different. Her hair was floating and waving about, it was no longer the color of the sky but rather a silver gray and had the appearance of a cloud, texture included. Her eyes were no longer separate colors and had a golden yellow glow. Matching golden yellow scales sprouted from her ankles and wrists, a few patches of scales crawled up her arms and around her eyes like partial masquerade mask.
"Dealana..." Erza breathed looking at the angry dragon slayer who emitted a powerful aura of magical energy, "She ate the lightning...she...she entered her dragon force!" Erza realized before the girl was gone in a trail of lightning, heading straight for Kardia Cathedral.
➵
GAAAAHHHH! I can't help it anymore! I had to let it happen! Dealana entered the dragon force! Don't worry, she's not able to do it at will. Like Natsu ate the ethernano, Dealana ate a large amount of lightning magic. Over a dozen of blasts from the Thunder Palace Lacrima. All packed with enough magic energy to destroy the town, it's temporary thing so that she can battle Laxus.
Do you like Dealana's dragon force appearance? Like Wendy (who hasn't appeared yet and I'm sad) her hair and eyes change color and it gives you a sneak preview of Arashi's scale colors. A golden yellow. I love the idea that her air is literally like a cloud and looks and acts like it. Should I change it? Let me know!
