《LITTLE FURY ( fairy tail. )》CHAPTER FOURTEEN ➵ PORLYUSICA, I SAID I'M SORRY!

When Dealana hadn't returned to the guild for a few days, a few people began to worry. But with the sudden departure of Loke, the runaway playboy became the main priority as it was a safe assumption that Dealana was still cooling down from the encounter with Laxus. Having Fairy Tail not focused on Dealana is what Porlyusica preferred. Especially since the older woman had brought the storm dragon slayer to her house in a different part of the East Forest.
Makarov was aware of Dealana's location, as that was all Porlyusica deemed necessary to inform the guild master of. The old man had no clue that Dealana had nearly injured herself after her outburst of magic. As the sky-blue haired girl slowly recovered, Porylusica made sure that no one interrupted or barged in on her process. The pink haired woman had nothing to fear, as they were still focused on Loke being celestial spirit who had been cast out of his home-realm until Lucy was able to save him.
It was on that day, that Dealana woke up. Her eyes scrunched up, feeling sunlight trying to wake her up with its brightness. But Dealana's cave didn't have such bright light, so then, where was she? Taking a risk, one she immediately regretted, Dealana opened her eyes but was met with even more harsh sunlight. She hissed and closed her eyes instinctively before being a little more careful and letting them adjust slowly.
She recognized her surroundings as Porlyusica's tree house. The dragon slayer had never been inside, but it was the only house inside a tree that she could think of.
"Oh. You're awake." Dealana turned to see the owner of the bland, done-with-everything voice. The woman with pink hair stared at her with an unimpressed look, the annoyance in her red eyes only standing out more with her somewhat-extravagantly long red cloak.
"You're Miss Porlyusica, right?" Dealana asked, her voice still a little raspy from waking up and not having water after everything. It was then that the girl noticed the slight headache she felt. Assuming it was from crying and dehydration, she ignored it the best she could as the woman moved to work on something else.
"You could have died from what you did you know, it was foolish." Dealana's eyes widened. She could have died? What happened? She remembered breaking down and letting her magic take control.
"Sorry..." Dealana muttered. Now, Dealana didn't apologize to just anyone. Only the people she was scared of. Porlyusica was one of them.
"You should be! Do you realize how stupid you were! Honestly, were you even thinking about the consequences for something like that!?" Porlyusica's constant bad mood did a bad one-eighty and increased the intensity of Dealana's scolding. So much so that Dealana winced and sat up to shield herself with her arms.
"I said I'm sorry!" Dealana exclaimed. This woman's temper was like a dragon and it was scary how she sometimes could remind Dealana of Arashi.
Porlyusica seemed to calm down a little as she continued to speak, "Letting your emotions control your magic can be useful in dire situations, but it's reckless and dangerous and shouldn't be done. The consequences are worse than the potential gains." Dealana nodded looking down her hair covering her eyes. "Expelling that much magic at once would've killed you if you weren't as strong as you are. But don't think that I'll save you if this happens again." Porlyusica warned, "I can't keep you here, so you may as well go back to your guild."

Slowly, Dealana shuffled out of the bed and her bare feet touched the ground before she began to move toward the door. "Thank you, Miss Porlyusica."
"Just get out of here...Dealana."

Dealana didn't know what to expect when she arrived at the guild hall with bandages wrapped around her arms and part of her torso. She wore a loose lavender tank top and her normal black shorts, with Lisanna's bracelet, as always, wrapped around her ankle. Mira spotted the girl first and she smiled warmly as Dealana approached.
"Dealana!" she greeted, "I'm so glad you're alright!" Dealana smiled weakly.
"Thanks, Mira." she sighed and pulled herself onto a stool not wanting to use magic right after waking up from who-knows-how-long of a nap. "Sorry for worrying you."
Mira's eyes softened, "Want to talk about it?" she offered with such sincerity, Dealana didn't have the heart to not comply.
"It hurt. His words, I mean. They really hurt, and I let emotions cloud my judgement." Dealana revealed setting her head on the make-shift bar counter tapping her fingers on the wood periodically, "My magic was unstable and I lashed out at my surroundings. Porlyusica found me, said I could have killed myself if I ever did that again." Mira gasped a little before she put a comforting hand on Dealana's over the bar.
"I'm sorry you have to deal with this kind of stuff, Dealana. Someone your age should have too." Mira told her before Dealana decided she was done being vulnerable.
"Thanks. What happened while I was out?" she asked.
"Oh! Loke's a celestial spirit and Lucy was able to save him before he disappeared forever." Mira summarized nonchalantly with a smile. Dealana blinked slowly.
"I'm sorry...what!?" her outburst caught the attention of Team Natsu, who had just received tickets from Loke, or Leo, for a beach resort.
"Dealana! You're back!" Natsu remarked as they approached and Happy flew just by her head.
"We were worried about you." the cat said. Dealana raised an eyebrow before giving them a weak smile and scratching the back of her head.
"Oh, sorry 'bout that." she said hoping to leave the conversation there, but Erza wasn't having it.
"Where were you? And don't think I didn't forget about your punishment." she reminded causing the storm dragon slayer to to grimace at the thought of going shopping with Erza.
"Hold on," Lucy started noticing her arms, "are those more bandages?"
"Woah, did you get hurt again?" Happy asked. Dealana sighed and looked anywhere but their stern and confused faces.
"I mean, sort of." she admitted.
"What do you mean, sort of?" Gray questioned.
Dealana sighed again and leaned back in her seat, looking at the clouds in the sky, "His words hurt, more than I can say." she said in reference to Laxus, causing them all to scowl at the mention of what he did, "so I went where I normally go when I need to get my head back together and I let my magic kind of take control."
"Dealana, that's extremely dangerous!" Erza scolded the girl, "What were you thinking?"

"Isn't obvious? She wasn't thinking or else she wouldn't have done it." Gray tried to reason.
"I don't get it? What makes it so dangerous?" Natsu asked confused. Lucy and Happy sighed.
"If a wizard lets their magic take control, their spells become unstable, like casting a high level spell when you aren't ready." Lucy began.
"It's very dangerous and it could tear a wizard apart from the inside out!" Happy finished, seeming a little too cheerful about knowing the last part. Natsu's eyes widened and he looked to the ever-stubborn Dealana who looked a little grumpy now that everyone knew.
"No way! What were you thinking?" Natsu exclaimed before once again, Gray came to the sky-bluenette's defense and soon enough, they were butting heads leaving the three girls and Happy.
"So, I take it, you're okay now?" Lucy asked cautiously.
"Yeah, I'll be fine. Trust me, Porlyusica scolded me enough." Upon seeing a confused Lucy, she elaborated, "She's the one who found me. Apparently, my magic power spiked and since I was nearby she came and found me." Dealana offered her a small smile before looking to Erza, "Gramps already has me under watch." she informed, "No jobs or using magic until I can get a better grip on my emotions. I'm assigned to help Mira around the makeshift bar and stuff. Don't let my reckless actions ruin your vacation." Dealana turned to Lucy, "Tell Loke I'm going to punch him for not telling me anything."
Lucy gulped and nodded, Dealana sometimes scared her for the reason that she was so grumpy and somewhat mean all the time. "I–I will."
"That's right, you and Loke were close too." Happy remembered.
"If you want to call it that." Dealana scoffed, "More like he used me to get more girls, acting like a good older-brother figure."
Lucy sweatdropped, "That sounds like him."
"Looks like you'll have to deal with him now," Dealana pointed out, "after all, he's not afraid of celestial wizards anymore. Good luck!"
"Don't even get me started!" Lucy exclaimed, leading Dealana to realize it's already begun. The sky blunette grinned a bit while Erza stopped the two boys from fighting and they said their farewells before heading off to the resort.
"Bye Dealana!" Happy called over his shoulder, "See you soon!" Dealana merely rolled her eyes unaware of what would soon take place for Team Natsu.
➵
"Ah! Who knew your job could be so tiring, Mira." Dealana commented while stretching her arms. Dealana used to follow Mira around while the white-haired beauty worked, but watching and actually working were two different things. Normally, Dealana would just do the dishes, but now she was helping to rebuild the guild hall mixed with serving food, still washing dishes, but also learning how to manage when people wanted to take jobs.
"Hmm. Yeah, it kind of it when you first start out, huh?" Mira smiled while she finished putting the last of the stuff away.
"Hey Mira?"
"Yes?"
"Do you think he meant it?" Dealana asked out of the blue, "Laxus, I mean. Do you think he really meant it. That he shouldn't have picked me up off the street."
"Dealana, I don't think he meant it. I'm sure that he still cares about you, he's just going through some hard times. Losing the guild hall probably affected him too, he's just hiding it." Mira tried to assure the girl, but she didn't seem too confident in her words. "I do know that anyone of us here in Fairy Tail would have picked you up, no matter what. You're a member of Fairy Tail, Dealana, we're all here for you."
Dealana mulled over her words before giving her playful smirk, "Geez, you're too sweet sometimes, you know that? You make it sound like you've been a member of Fairy Tail longer than I have, but I'm pretty sure I have you beat by like a year." Mira laughed and the two girls walked to Mira and Elfman's shared home where Dealana helped Elfman cook dinner.
It was like normal for the next day or two, and the guild hall was nearly complete too. A blue haired woman came by and turns out it was Juvia from Phantom's Element 4. She informed the Master of what had happened at the Tower of Heaven with Team Natsu before joining the guild. Dealana was worried, though she hid it well. She had eavesdropped on their conversation and she wished that Laxus wasn't such a jerk and she wasn't so reckless. If she had been there, she probably could've helped them out.
She silently fretted over the whole thing, seeing as Team Natsu had yet to return, when Makarov approached her.
"Dealana, would you like to come with me on an errand?" he offered. Dealana paused from where she was wiping down a table of the new guild hall. She raised an eyebrow. It seemed weird. In the end, Dealana shrugged muttering a 'screw it' and agreed.
She hadn't realized they'd be going to offer none other than Gajeel Redfox, the one who Dealana a new scar on her face, a place in Fairy Tail.
➵
I should really type something here but I don't know what to say yet. Oh! I know! When I was typing the last sentences, I wrote Gajeel Redbox instead of Redfox. Kind of funny, but then again, as of writing, I was running on m&ms and semi-sweet chocolate chunks. (don't ask.)
Also, for the first time this winter season, it's actually snowing outside and staying that way. I learned that I like snow and the desire to bundle up in a blanket heap it brings. Seeing as I spent the first, like, thirteen years of my life without it. Snow and weather below 62º is actually enjoyable for me. (If that makes any sense.)
