《LITTLE FURY ( fairy tail. )》CHAPTER TEN ➵ TEMPEST AND THE HEAVENS

The remaining members of Fairy Tail watched as Dealana slowly shuffled forward, wisps of dark grey clouds, lightning flashing from within swirling in circles around her feet. Her hair floated, escaping the confines of her twin braids at dancing dangerously in the air as if having a mind of its own. Her eyes shadowed by the few wisps of hair that didn't swirl about, and her fists were surrounded by the same dark wisps and lightning, literal storms at her fingertips.
She ignored the Shades that attempted to fly at her only to be disintegrated by lightning or blown away by sudden powerful gales. Dealana continued moving forward, not caring that a few of her bandages were burning away from her magic energy.
"Elfman!" Mira's cries echoed in her ears.
"Dealana..." Cana breathed, watching the dangerous aura she was emanating. With a swipe of Dealana's hands, a cloud formed at her feet, only this time it wasn't her normal fluffy white ones. This one matched her rage. The girl hopped aboard and began riding it like a skateboard, but not before they heard her chilling voice.
"No one. No one ever messes with my family."
As Dealana reached Elfman, Mira, and who she assumed to be one of the Element 4, she heard Elfman mumbled from within his growing stone prision.
"I'll never forget." a tear slid down his cheek and Mira called out to him again.
"Elfman! You got to...snap out of it! Please, brother, I can't lose you too!"
Monsieur Sol had to ruin the moment, "Now it's time for the coup de grâce."
"She's crying." Dealana muttered at the same time as Elfman.
"Ugh, what now?"
"I swore I would never let anyone make you cry again." Elfman began to glow and break from his rock entrapment, "Tell me! Why are you crying?"
"That light!" Mira realized. "No, don't do it, Elfman! It's too dangerous!" Dealana slowed above them, her rage dwindling enough to watch and wait should she be needed.
"Who made you cry, Mira?!"
"Mon dieu!" the earth creep gasped as the smoke concealed Elfman's new snarling form. He whimpered as he caught a glimpse of Elfman's glowing purple eyes.
"Full-body takeover. Beast Soul!" Mira named as Elfman roared.
"Non, non, non. This is a big misunderstanding. I wasn't trying to hurt you, I simply wanted to help un ami. I thought that putting you through that trial might help you get over your painful memories."
Sol didn't last long. With the help of Mira's voice, Elfman regained control and freed his sister from the giant's grasp. Dealana had moved further into Phantom's guild hall leaving Mira and Elfman to have a touching moment. The storm dragon slayer couldn't risk their soft emotions get in her way. Soft emotions calmed the storm, and as much as they would hate her for saying this, she didn't want to be calm. She wanted to rip Phantom to shreds. Piece. By. Piece.

Dealana followed the smell of smoke and fish to where Natsu was getting his ass handed to him by Aria of the heavens. Natsu was screaming as his magic energy was getting drained from his body, like Master Makarov had endured.
"Natsu!" Happy cried out in fear.
"No. I can't!" Natsu said before they both heard something they hadn't heard for a long time.
"Storm dragon fury claw!" Aria was knocked away and he disappeared briefly.

"Dealana!" Happy cheered.
"You're here." Natsu said standing up and taking in Dealana's angry form, "What are you doing here? Weren't you injured?" Dealana stood up right again and looked at Natsu and Happy. The glint in her violet eye made them both fearful of how mad she would look with both eyes open. A few angry tears slid down her face before they sizzled with lightning, only adding to her anger.
"She is P.O.'d" Happy exclaimed hugging Natsu in fear. Aria then made his appearance again.
"You're the one who hurt Master Makarov. And you're the one who's going to feel my wrath first." Dealana snarled, her hair still waving about in the air.
"Dealana Ka'ino. How unfortunate." Aria said, "Seems the mighty Tempest will lose her head alongside her friend Salamander."
"You've caused a lot of suffering with your hands, especially to our Master." Dealana ignored his comment and her gaze darkened, "I'm going to tear them to shreds!" The air in the room began to shift, the pressure built up along with the tension.
"Dealana, you're still hurt!" Natsu told her. But his attention was drawn away by the Phantom jerk's chuckling.
"You are quite the formidable opponent, so I suppose I'll take my battles more seriously." Aria stated, one of his hands reaching for the cloth that covered his eyes. He ripped it away to reveal fuchsia pupils that had an 'x' mark in the irises.
➵
"His eyes?" Gray was asking Mira after he finsihed off Juvia of the Great Sea. Mira and Elfman had caught up with him.
"Yes. Evidently, Aris keeps his eyes covered with bandages. He does this because it helps control his overwhelming magical power." Mira explained.
"So, it's all in his eyes?" Elfman asked.
"That's right. So when we find him, we have to beat him before he opens them because if that happens we don't stand a chance at victory." Mira finished and Gray sighed.
➵
"Now, Tempest." Aria said as wind started to swirl around his feet. Dealana's good eye narrowed and dark stormy wisps began to circle around her own feet, "Step into zero airspace of death. I consumes the lives of all who dare to enter." The winds got harsh and more powerful causing Natsu difficulty to see and stand straight. Happy was clinging to his scarf.
"I'm getting tired of hearing that word. Death. How can you bring about death?" Dealana asked, not bothered at all by the raging winds, as her storm magic matched the atmosphere and only added to the wind, not that Aria realized. "How can you kill so easily? You bastard!"
"It'd be more fun to show you!" Aria replied. A few dark clouds began to take shape near the ceiling and went unnoticed by everyone.
"Dealana!" Natsu shouted as Dealana ran forward a mini storm surrounding her fist, the lightning dominating.
"Let's see just how well you handle this, Tempest!" Aria said thrusting his hands forward and yellow spheres of magic shot towards the sky-bluenette. Dealana charged through the storm with a war cry that would make Arashi proud and pushed through the winds. Dark grey storm clouds thundered above them all, Natsu and Happy looking up in surprise as lightning struck down from within the room.
"But how? She's moving through my airspace! With just brute force? It's impossible!" Dealana reached Aria with her deep blue eyes glowing from underneath the bandage and rage filling her violet one as she leapt into the air and delivered a raging blow, "No!"

"Dragon slayer's secret art: Gale force storm's wrath!"
Aria screamed in pain before he fell to the ground, singed and beaten. Dealana landed on the ground behind him, the storm within the room beginning to slowly calm along with Dealana's hair. It cascaded around her in sky colored waves.
"She took him out with one hit!" Happy gushed with wide eyes.
"She's one scary little girl!" Natsu agreed, though hidden inside was a warmth that didn't come from being a fire dragon slayer, no, Natsu was very proud of Dealana in that moment. And so was Erza, who had arrived in hopes of not being late, but she was kind of glad she was.
"Someone like you could never compare to Master Makarov, and I refuse to let you hurt my family. You'll be known as the first to fall by my hand." Dealana turned and glared down at Aria, who was in pure shock. Erza smirked, her goal of avenging Makarov had been achieved with exceded expectations.
"That's so sad."
With the final member of the Element 4 defeated, the abyss break disappeared and the giant began to wobble and fall apart. Happy cried out in alarm while Natsu, Dealana, and Erza sought to find balance. The burst of energy induced by her memories of Lisanna and the prospect of Mira and Elfman getting hurt faded and Dealana was faced with the consequences of her berserk rage and using that kind of magic energy. Dealana fell backwards and into Erza's arms.
"Dealana! Wake up!" Natsu exclaimed looking down at the girl in Titania's arms.
"Attention, you pathetic Fairy Tail worms!" Jose's voice suddenly rang over the speakers, "Listen carefully because I'll only say this once!"
"What the...?" Natsu wondered.
"It's...Master Jose." Erza said, still pretty weak from stopping the Jupiter cannon. The next sound was painful. Lucy's scream. It rang through the speakers and the halls of the Phantom guild fortress.
"We have captured your precious Lucy Heartfilia. Which means our first order of business is now out of the way. And that leaves us with just one more thing. My favorite part. Wiping all of you miserable brats right off the face of the earth!"
"No way." Natsu uttered, bristling with anger. Erza watched him carefully. "Aw, man. They got Lucy!" he said while Erza looked to Natsu and gave him a weak smile.
"Go." she told him.
"What? You've got to come with me!" Natsu told her.
"Listen." Erza said through her pain, "Use your strength. It lies dormant, deep down inside of you. Believe in yourself. Find it." Erza paused as she nearly collapsed again, "Find your strength. And awaken it. For Lucy. For our guild. Do it now, Natsu!" Erza told him as Dealana began to shift in her arms, "Show me. Show me you can surpass me!"
Natsu grit his teeth before standing, the room in the air getting hotter in seconds. Flames surrounded Natsu and dissipated the remains of Dealana's storm taking the shape of a dragon. He roared as magic energy pulsed through him. Dealana's bandaged had come off her blue eye and she opened them both in time to see Natsu. Her eyes widened at the power and she smiled.
At the same time, in the East Forest, Makarov opened his eyes.

"...Erza?" Dealana muttered weakly as they sat leaned against a crumbled wall, "Are you mad at me?" she asked in reference to her being so reckless.
Erza chuckled, "I'm proud of you, Dealana." Dealana's eyes widened a bit and she looked up at the ceiling, remembering the storm she'd created. In the past, Arashi told her it too great strength to conjure a storm outside of the vast sky, but in her fight against Aria, she had.
'Thank you...Lisanna...for giving me that strength.'
"Erza? Dealana?" Mira's voice called out to the girls with heavy eyelids. They were both exhausted, pushing themselves past their limits.
"You guys okay?" Gray asked crouching beside them both. Elfman eyes the damage in the room.
"Man, it looks like somethin' big went down."
"It's you..." Erza spoke.
"You're both injured, you shouldn't be here!" Gray scolded them.
"Yeah, you're not really looking too good." Mira commented, worry in her big blue eyes.
"You should see the other guy." Dealana laughed weakly. Gray's eyes widened slightly and he glanced back at Aria, while Elfman realized why the room looked like a storm passed through, his own eyes falling on Aria's defeated form.
"That's Aria!" Mira realized.
"You got shot by that cannon and still fought this guy?" Elfman asked in disbelief. Erza cracked a smile and looked at Dealana.
"I was too late, but Dealana had it covered."
"What the heck were you thinking?" Gray exclaimed looking at Dealana after hearing Erza throw the girl in the spot light, "Hold on. You beat him on your own?"
"His air magic is nothing compared to the power of my storms..." Dealana smiled before wincing, "But I still have a lot to learn." Gray looked at what would be a scar above and slightly across her blue eye before a dark feeling filled the room and their hearts.
"What the...?" Gray wondered.
"What is it?" Mira questioned.
"I sense death!" Erza realized.
Jose had arrived to exterminate the remaining Fairy Tail scum that were still scuttling around his guild hall.
➵
This chapter was all over the place and I held Erza back so Dealana could beat the crap out Aria with one hit instead. She used one of her dragon slayer secret arts too! I'm not too creative when it comes to storm-themed names, so I hope it wasn't too bad. Also, Dealana was mad. Like, absolutely ! Sort of like Mira during the Battle of Fairy Tail.
Also, before I continue to forget, I never said thank you for the 3.5k reads on this book. I think a lot of it came before I paused it, but now as I'm continuing to work on this story, I'm extremely grateful for the support you all show me! Thank you so very, very much!
@Inspired3017 (I'm hoping this works) has been really supportive of my writing so I figured I could sort of dedicate this chapter to her. If you like my writing than you will most definitely enjoy hers! I'm particularly fond of her Jellal fanfiction :)
I shifted the plot, but I think it still works. Any thoughts? Suggestions? Dealana and the others are going to have a rough time up ahead with Jose. I've pretty much completed all the draft notes that I had for this arc, meaning, I wrote the parts I wanted to see Dealana with aside from Makarov coming to his children's aid, but that's going to come along soon enough. Hope you enjoyed the chapter!
