《Every Second with You // Luxiem & Noctyx》{The Noises... The Voices}

Uki merely walks around the grass as the sun rises slowly and slowly... It's been hours since you departed from the timeline through a strange black portal without anything more than a goodbye and a gentle embrace.
But when he squinted at the portal closely, he could see that it has a blue spark in it deeper into the hole... Like a mysterious, magical rabbit hole.
'You know... I think I should have ask if she could take me with her...' Uki thinks to himself as he looks up at the sky. 'And tell her to take me anywhere... As I don't know where else to go but cluelessly walk on my own road...'
'I can't stop thinking about her...'
Uki honestly received a very unforgettable impression of the time traveler- it was merely you sending some spark on him in less than 20 minutes...
But it's definitely not a love at first sight- could it be just a charm? Because Uki have never seen anything so appealing until he met you-
He was at the verge to give up his life after escaping from a mysterious gang his parents sold him off to in the times of vulnerability... Until arrived out of nowhere, and made him feel like a normal person he thought he couldn't get to be anymore.
Uki will have to wait for 2 more months to figure out... What exactly is this feeling about you.
Before he could take a continuous step forward as he looks at the could, he could hear a voice in his mind.
'I-Is this over for me...?'
The voice just sounded so hopeless and vulnerable in Uki's mind. The young, male voice just nearly reminds him of himself from hours ago.
Someone is near him, right under his nose.
Uki, who now learned that he is a very conscious psychic after a star that gift him a power fell on his eye, looks around him to see that there's no one beside him at the hills-
Until he looks down to see an injured person down the hill, just recently being pushed out of a similar portal you just went off to.
Brown haired boy with cat-like hair clips and a wire-like tail... He is wearing lightly broken sunglasses as his nose is dripping blood slowly.... As if he just got beaten up recently.
"Hey... Are you okay there....?"
The brunette didn't respond but fortunately heard the voice, he weakly opened his eyes, barely half-lidded. His visions slowly stops blurring to the orange sky, and looks at the purple-haired boy with some slight struggle. Uki approaches slowly so he could kneel in front of him, helping him at least sit up.
"W-What.... What year is it here...?" The limping boy suddenly questions.
"What...?" Uki asks as he knits his eyebrow together in a soft manner, trying to connect dots in where did this catboy-like person come from.
He does look like from here by the clothes- does he have amnesia?
"It's... 20xx(future)." Uki answers in a surprisingly calm tone, despite not sure what more to add to the stranger.
"Ugh... I'm back... I'm back here once again-" The brunette sounds frustrated by the second, but suddenly coughs in painful bits- making the Psychic hold onto the boy carefully and avoiding him from collapsing onto the ground once again.
"Now now... here... Let me help you." Uki offers as he helps putting the half-broken sunglasses into one of the boy's empty pockets before bringing him a spot where he can bandage him up.
Where will he get the bandages-

Oh, right.
Uki pushes the half-unconscious boy carefully into a tree before taking out a package.
He opens to see the familiar cute bandaids, oilment, and soft cotton bandages you gave it to him before leaving.
___
{Flashback}
"A-AH--- are you alright....?" You whisper with panic as you cover your mouth with both of your hands in a surprised manner. The boy backs away in response, not expecting you to react so quickly.
Without wasting a second, you quickly take out a spare handkerchief fabric from your pocket and start wiping the boy's nose. He flinches yet he doesn't made a single sign of trying to pull away or stopping you as his droopy eyes are glancing at you silently.
As you finish cleaning, you then smile softly to him.
"What's your name...?"
The boy stays quiet for awhile until he finally responds in a low, silky voice.
"...Uki."
"You have a beautiful voice, Uki." You gently compliment with a now calm smile, feeling warmth from his lullabies.
"Oh... Really.." Uki's voice trails off as he looks away.
"Yes... Definitely."
Becoming aware that you have to mind your own business for a bit, you make sure to take out something from your handbag and give it to Uki.
"Here... I'm not sure if you already have this, but having some more bandaids for emergency would make your life easier!" You suggest as you give him a portion of the medical supplies you have from your medkit.
'Make my life easier...?' Uki asks, he's literally living in the future timeline, with a very strict government system where danger can be in almost every corner.
But nonetheless, he accepts the supplies and thanks you quietly, admiring the sight of looking around the surroundings before trailing off to stargaze alongside with him...
For just a moment...
___
{Flashback Ends}
Uki stops in his train of thoughts before start cleaning up the injured boy's wounds carefully, who flinched at every painful rub he can feel as he senses the medical alcohol.
"W-" The boy tries to not flinch more as he opens one of his eyes with struggle- until both of his eyes widen by the sight by the certain objects Uki has. "...Where did you get the supplies...?"
"???" Uki nearly stops himself but keeps making the bandaids float through one of his psychic abilities, and starts opening them in the air to place them on Alban's scratch parts of his limbs carefully but not slowly.
"These bandaids...." He starts "I know these bandaids..." The catboy looks at Uki with a small realization, struggling between anger, shock, and hope.
"H-Have you seen a girl lately....? The one that has a hanging clock on her and holding a handbag around???" He asks, suddenly sitting up but flinches as he feels a pang of pain on his torso. Uki helps him lean back once again.
"Ah- what will you do if I do or not...?" Uki consciously asks as he steps back, pretty much not feeling comfortable by how the boy in front of him is reacting.
'I- I need to find her! She must be worried by my entire absence- I need to tell her I'm alright...! I
And that I'm right here...!' The brunette unhesitatingly spills out in his thoughts, which Uki can hear them out loud, before seeing himself cry in tears "I... I wanna get back into Y/N's arms again..."
That's the statement the boy verbally did say, which catches Uki off-guard...
Never thought he would see another soul who would openly show such vulnerable emotions for someone... But then...
"Ah...." Uki starts, trying to find the right words. "I'm... I'm afraid she already left..."
"W-What...?" The boys says.
"I found a girl named Y/N in a crying state... So I tried to calm her. She noticed that my nose was bleeding, so she panicked a little and helped me stop the bleeding. Then, Y/N ended up gifting me a small portion of her medkit supplies.... Just to be more careful." Uki honestly answers, seeing Alban now silenced before now weakly chuckling by the mention of the girl's actions.
"Hehe... That really sounds like her... I told her to not just do that so openly to strangers... But it seems like you also have a bad day as well."
The boy with the hair clips points out. The boy not only looks nearly severely injured, but he seems to have barely slept for even less than a few hours. He notices the tired eyes Uki has, as if he have stayed up for the entire night until sunrise and something just hit on his left eyes...
Which unnaturally did happen-
"Ah- what's your name?" The boy says, while trying to grin lightly despite of the tired look and the swollen eyes from the crying. He seems to have stopped getting suspicious of Uki, for now.
"The names Alban... Alban Knox." He stretches his hand out for a handshake, as Uki looks at it for a moment.
".... Uki, Uki Violeta." Uki responds with slight hesitation but shakes the stretched out, gloved hand anyways.
"Nice to meet you...! It's good to talk normally to a person after all the running and moving around, especially from the same timeline as me."
"What?"
"Oh- well, long story."
"Were you getting chased by someone...?"
"Eh... No?"
"I think Y/N was getting chased as well when I found her-" Uki doesn't buy Alban's answer, so he also points out another common thing he learned when he found you.
"Wait, really???"
"Yes, she wasn't only mourning for something, or someone.... She also nearly got device tracked by one of the red-helmet androids-"
"Sh*t...-" The boy breaths out in panic.
"Until she got out of here with a strange portal that is the same as how you appear-" Uki adds.
"-Thank goodness..." Alban breaths in with relief. "She's safe- for now.... They might have seen her or not, but they must be nearly hot on her tail if they were able to track her here despite escaping-"
"Mm..." Uki hums, not disagreeing as he knows the system as well.
"So, can you explain me more of what the timelines are you referring about...?"
___
"So... You're saying... Time traveling finally exists thanks to someone that is from... Many years ago??? And that was Y/N?"
"Yep..!"
"I'm still processing... Hold on."
Alban just nods as he tries to take out all the messy items from the lockers and closets in his original hideout (*cough* stolen in his original timeline plus small items from other timelines he randomly gets transported in- *cough*). Uki can't help but cringe at how messy some spots on the room are.
At least there are no nasty smells nor dirty dishes in the Phantom Thief's kitchen sink-
"Aha!" Alban cheers as he raises up another replica of his outfit but looks much more new and cleaner than the one he is wearing, which is filled with dirt and has ripped pieces from the beating and the fall he had to face previously.
"I have to prepare myself more for the worse this time- Of course, I was always prepared! But not enough to survive for a few more months of physical torture with lack of food sources..." The thief explains as he quickly gets to the dressing area, Uki wonders how does this guy take of the clothes so quickly when dressing up- like, imagine the amount of layers that is probably beneath that large jacket,,, (o-o
"What do you mean by 'prepare'...? Is something going to get you again?" Uki asks.
"Well... I did say before that Y/N's time machine has been pretty wonky ever since made.... I'm not sure how long I'm going to get into the cycles of being trapped into different timelines- no matter where I go, there's always a portal appearing suddenly, waiting for me to step in it as if it's trying to decipher the location of my fate(?)- but that's pretty much my theory-" Alban explains, only leaving Uki filled with more questions.
"The point is... I have no idea how I got involved into the time traveling situation- it just happened, there's probably some kind of specific purpose for me rather than just a random coincidence....
Even if I'm now back to my own respective timeline- I have a feeling something is still yet unsolved- As it isn't over yet."
"I see..." Uki nods, now deeply thinking about Alban's words. His train of thoughts then get shattered few minutes later by Alban's voice ringing once again.
"Hey, catch this!" Alban says with an enthusiastic smile as if he just found something that catches his eye. Uki catches the object the thief threw at him out of instinct, to see that it's a black with magenta jacket.
"For some reason I found this jacket in this closet, it seems to fit your style! you can give it a try and use it. Feel free to keep it!" Alban exclaims as he continues checking through his stuff.
Uki merely looks at Alban with slight shock, before looking at the jacket that is in his hands.
He eventually decides to wear it, pretty much due to Alban insisting to keep as it is no use for him- ;ówò)
Right when they got out of Alban's place to go to a park, at an area where there's barely people. That is when the portal appears in front of them.
Alban tsks but then sighs in an exhausted manner before taking out his spare of sunglasses that are not broken and wearing them with a tired look, ready to throw out the broken ones into the nearest garbage.
"If that portal is also coming for you, don't resist- that thing is a persistent little sh*t....-" The Phantom Thief advices with a small groan, making the Psychic sweatdrop slightly.

{Somewhere in the past...}

.
"This world is hard to live in...
If I have to give up what I wanna do...
."
Yugo chuckled in crazed look that was filled with pain, as you look around beside him without knowing.
The DJ quickly stopped you for a moment to make you look at him in the eyes, holding your hands and squeezing them firmly but lovingly. You could only look at him with those eyes.
Those lost, feared eyes.
"Is alright, Songbird... You'll be safe... You'll be alright..." Yugo whispered to Y/N softly as he tried to quickly take out something for her.
He then hugged her in an embrace. He brushed the back of her hair out gently...
Before placing an object into the back of her neck, which you didn't seeing to feel it as you cry quietly into his chest.
'I know that these bastards are only coming for me... But then if they're going to find Y/N with me and seeing her as my accomplice-' Yugo though to himself, but before he could finish taking out another item, a smoke stick to give it to Y/N to give her more time to run away- he then could see the red men in front of them, having their weapons ready.
*BANG!*
"YUGOOO!!!"
He could hear the endearing voice of the angel he met, calling out for him, as he falls on his back, into the ocean.
Everything felt... heavy, dark, slow....
And blue.
'I guess there was nothing I could do.
You know? Even in the hard times, I just wanted to play around.
I wanted to play clumsily, freely, without any regret.
It concealed my loneliness, and showed me new things.
Sensei's bright wisdom, Songbird's warm nature, and people's sincere happiness...
All of while, I wanted to find a hope out of this darkness...
This dark .'
A blue light emits from the other side, Yugo could only do nothing but reach it as if it was a written part of his next life.
.
.
.
"Oh! Is that guy okay?"
"Hey, come! Leave him there! I think he's just a drunk."
"Eh... Alright."
Blurred voices can be heard from Yugo's half-conscious ears, as footsteps come and go by his surroundings. He weakly looks up to find himself leaning on a pile of garbage bags.
It took a while to maintain distance as he limply stands up, feeling slight dizziness. Until a pair of footsteps can only be heard louder and louder to where he is. He looks to see two strangers in familiar trend of outfits, walking around and asking around for the year date.
___
"Excuse me, do you have any idea what year is here?" Alban asks to some young man who doesn't seem like a busy man.
"Huh...?" The man replies in confusion.
"What year is today?" Alban asks more clearly.
"2022..? What can I help you Ah... cosplayers?"
'Cosplayers??? Jdjdjdjjdjsj-' Alban thinks as he tries to stop himself from laughing in front of the stranger. Uki read his mind before shaking his head with a sigh.
"Ah okay- We're fine now, thanks!" Alban replies as he turns around to check his pocket watch, but instead of just looking at it, he lift the watch upside down. Which makes the pocket watch show the date of the current timeline he and Uki are in.
"Yep- we're in Y/N's timeline...."
"Her timeline looks... peaceful, so many people walking so freely..." Uki points out, slight shock by the sight of clear blue skies and many people talking and laughing. "So... Many thoughts-"
"Okay, Psychic Master- you should start controlling those abilities for now- as you'll often see these crowds of people in this timeline more often from now on!" Alban suggests, grinning with slight concerned at Uki.
"Well sh*t, then..." Uki replies tiredly.
Uki realizes something before looking at the man blankly, not amused.
'This guy is still here- surprisingly he's not paying attention to what Alban just said- what a dumbo.' Uki thinks with an unreadable look. The young man seems to notice Uki's presence and blushes at his appearance before shaking his head.
"Ah... h-hey there, are you single....?" The man faces Uki as he asks out of the blue. Alban's ears then twitch before turning back to the man then at Uki, amused by how this is unfolding.
"Why would you like to know, weather boy." Uki blankly says, uninterested.
"Wheeeeze....-" Alban silently wheezes, Uki was able to hear him so he flares at him slightly. The thief stops once noticing.
"I was wondering... If we can exchange phone numbers...?" The man says shyly. Uki can only harden his glare before looking away.
"Sorry... I'm busy." Uki responds monotonously before dragging Alban away by his jacket's hood, as if Alban was the child as he's the mom.
"W-Wait-"
"See ya never, weird stranger~!" Alban exclaims with a casual wave.
___
Yugo, from afar, is actually watching the entire scene in suspicion, but he doesn't pay much in mind as his mind is still feeling numb from the crash.
He finds himself sitting at some bench, looking around his surrounding to see people wearing casual clothes that do not seem to be as "eccentric" as his and the two boys he have just saw-
But nonetheless, something crosses his mind-
'Y/N-'
He quickly takes out a device from his jacket's pocket and opens it, to show off an hologram with data and stats along with a wavelength that seems to be a heartbeat signal.
Meaning that you're still alive-
'Thank, f*cking, god....' Yugo thinks as he slightly leans back to the bench and closes his eyes, before quickly going back to admiring the gentle waves of your heartbeat.
The device his sensei gave him seems to work so far.... At least knowing that you've survived from the androids helps him feel much more relieved.
Yes, Yugo placed a tracker on the back of your neck- in case if you ever got separated.
Which seems to have just happened too soon, just as he predicted-
....Talking about the two boys Yugo saw, the DJ fails to catch Alban's eyes looking at his way before the said Thief taps Uki's back and pointing at Yugo-
Oh, now they're approaching towards him-
Woah woah woah- When was the last time someone personally approaches him besides his sensei, you, or some android???
Uki can already sense Yugo internally hyperventilating anxiously at the unfamiliar crowds from few feet away, making him hum with slight sympathy.
"Hey... That guy seems shy. I can already sense he's originally from the same timeline as us." Uki points out. "He probably is connected to Yin as well..."
"I mean, not gonna lie- judging by his clothes, we're literally matching-" Alban admits but says it truthfully, making his way towards Yugo who tries to seem to not notice them.

8 116A World Forgotten
***This story will contain lite-litrpg elements, mainly character pages and a town page. There will also be settlement building and adventuring, missteps and achievements. But one thing it definitely won’t have is a harem. Nor will it have an overpowered MC. Contains mild cursing.*** ***feel free to critique my writing and offer input. This is my first venture into writing. I've always enjoyed litrpg/gamelit books. I feel like I write how I talk, so it may be a little different. You won't hurt my feelings if you see something wrong or out of place! *** ***What follows is a condensed part of chapter 1. Enjoy!*** Drew Cooper is thrust into a new, unfamiliar world. Waking up in his sweats and t-shirt near what seems to be a forgotten path through some woods, he struggles coming to terms that he's no longer in his apartment. As he tries to cope with his new reality, he hears a horse coming down the path. He hides behind a nearby tree dreading what may happen next. As the horse approaches, he sees a man walking next to it. The horse is burdened with packs and gear. When the man nears, Drew nearly panics. He has a large sword strapped to his waist, obviously a fighter. He continues to hide as the man slowly passes only for the man to stop a dozen meters past his hiding spot. "You may as well come out, ya know. You weren't as well hidden as you thought," the man stated matter-of-factly, letting the horse’s reins go and putting his hand on the hilt of his sword. Slowly and scared for his life, Drew raised up and walked from behind the tree. "I-I'm sorry. I wasn't planning on attacking you. I-I don't know where I am. I heard your horse and hid. I didn't know what you'd do if you saw me. I'm sorry," he nervously blurted out. A minute passed. Then two. The man seemed interested with Drew and stepped closer, eyes squinting as if trying to see something. "What's that on your shirt? Is that. What is that? Is that, Pac-man?" The man was visibly shaken while pointing at me. Looking down at his t-shirt nervously, "Yea. Yea. I woke up here a few hours ago I think. 3 maybe 4 hours. I’ve just been sitting here. Where am I? What's going on?" Drew asked. "That's not important right now," the man replied. " What's important is where you're from. What year is it?" "What year? April something 2020. Why? What's going on?" Drew continued now worried. The man was taken aback. After a few moments, he seemed to calm himself some. The man sighed and looked at Drew in earnest. "Well, I've got good news and bad news for ya. Bad news is you're not on Earth anymore. Good news is you happened to run into me and not someone else. You’re either really lucky, or it’s fate we met in these woods, and I don’t believe in luck." The man continued to walk towards Drew while talking and put out his hand. "I'm John Mitchell from St. Louis or thereabouts. You’ve got nothing to be scared of by me. Walk with me and let’s talk."
