《Moments | Spideychelle Oneshots Collection》Something Just Like This

Ned bought Coldplay concert tickets for both him and Peter and he surprised him with it the next day. Both of them were huge fans of theirs. The concert was this upcoming weekend and they both made sure that they were going to finish all of their homework so they could enjoy the weekend without any worries at all. Little did these two know, Michelle, a close friend of theirs, was a big fan of the band too. She decided to come to the concert too, but unfortunately she went alone.
Once they got to the concert grounds, the band started to play Adventure of a Lifetime, causing everyone on the bottom part of the stadium to jump up and down in time with the beat. Peter and Ned were also jumping along, singing the lyrics to the top of their lungs. So did MJ, even though she wasn't with them.
A few more songs later, Peter realized that he has lost Ned through the crowd. He started to shout his name and found his way around the people. He didn't find Ned though, but he was able to find MJ.
"Michelle? I mean, MJ, what're you doing here?" He blushed but she didn't notice cause of the different lights flashing.
"Listening to Coldplay, genius."
"Have you seen Ned anywhere?" He asked.
"No. You know, it's really hard trying to find someone among this many people."
"Yeah, I realized that."
"Which is why I'm gonna help you." She grabbed his hand and his face completely flushed, but she thought it was just the bright red lights. They found their way through the crowd but no sign of Ned. "Have you tried texting him?" She asked.
"There's no signal."
"Dammit. Come on, let's try to go somewhere where there's signal." They seemed like they were going around in a circle, but then sometime later Peter said that he finally had 2 bars and stopped to text Ned.
"Has he responded yet?" Michelle asked sometime later.
"Ned, where are you? I'm with Michelle right now and we're trying to find you." Peter's text said.

"Met up with an old friend. I'll try to find you guys later. Meanwhile, y'all should hang out for a bit😏." said Ned's reply.
"Uhh, yeah. He said he met up with an old friend. He's gonna try to find us later." He replied, leaving out the last part of the text.
"Welp, I guess it's just you and me for now." She suddenly realized that they were still holding hands. "Oh." Then she released her grip.
The band started to play Everglow which is why it wasn't as loud and upbeat as earlier. Everyone raised their hands up high and waved it. Peter and MJ stayed where they were though. He looked at her and she senses him and looks back at him. He held out his hand, she took it and smiled.
"This song is just plain beautiful. The lyrics make me tear up all. The. Time." She says to Peter.
"Is it your favorite song from them?"
"It's one of my favorites but it's not the favorite, you know?"
"Then what is your favorite?"
"Something Just Like This. The message behind it is simply appreciating all the little things in life. You don't really need the extravagant things like, what is stated in the song, having super-human gifts like how Spiderman can climb up walls and shoot webs." She said, making him grin. If only she knew, he thought.
"What's your favorite, Peter?" She asked after a while.
"Same. I love Something Just Like This too." He replied. A few seconds later, Chris, the band's vocalist, said that the next song that they're gonna play is the two's favorite song.
"Oh my god, I can't believe we predicted that." said MJ. The two started dancing and singing along, same with everybody else around them. Peter spun her around a few times and then she spun him around. Towards the end of the song, they ended up in a fit of laughter, and they were fixed in a slow dance position.
They then looked at each other and didn't know how they ended up like that. MJ didn't mind though, and neither did Peter. She leaned on his shoulder and both continued watching the concert. They stayed like that for the rest of it. After it ended, Peter called Ned but he said that he had already been offered a ride home by his childhood friend.

"Well, we shouldn't waste a good Saturday night like this, right?" said MJ once they exited the stadium.
"Yeah." said Peter, walking hand-in-hand with MJ towards his car.
"Let's go somewhere. Anywhere."
"Where do you wanna go?"
"I'm actually craving for some coffee."
"Starbucks it is." said Peter. "After you, madam." He said, opening the door for Michelle.
"Why thank you." She hopped in.
Peter drove to the drive-thru of Starbucks. MJ ordered a grande almond milk iced latte while Peter ordered a tall java chip frappuccino.
"Here." She handed him her payment.
"No, no. I'm paying." He said to her, pushing away her money. "Here you go." He said to the guy behind the cashier, paying for both his and her drinks.
"Thanks." She said quietly.
"No problem."
"You don't drink coffee? Really?" She asked while they were waiting for their drinks.
"I prefer not to." A few seconds later, their drinks were served.
"Thank you." Peter said as he drove away. "Where to next?"
"Let's go to Rockaway Beach."
"Tonight? But it's gonna be a bit chilly, you know."
"I know. But, I don't wanna go home yet."
"Well, Rockaway Beach it is."
Once they got there, they felt the chilly breeze of the wind on their skin. They walked on the boardwalk and talked, hands interlaced and holding their drinks on their free hand.
"I wish we could have more moments like this. It feels so peaceful here." MJ said.
"Yeah. You know, we should hang out more often. We have so much more in common than I thought." Peter replied.
"I agree." They stopped in the middle of the empty boardwalk. Michelle rested her head on Peter's shoulder. "Can I ask you a question?"
"Sure. What is it?"
"Why have you been absent lately? Look, I know Liz is probably a part of it but you should just move on and--"
"No, she's not really a part of it."
"Then... why?" She pushed the question. Peter sighed.
"I wish I could tell you this but," He sighed heavily once again. "I don't think it's a good time right now." Michelle decided not to push further. He wasn't ready to spill anything yet and she understood that.
"Listen. Whatever it is, I hope you figure it out. And always remember that I'm here, Ned's here, and know that we'll never leave your side." She looked directly at him. He had the sudden urge to lean in and kiss her, but was afraid to get rejected. He pulled her into a hug instead.
"I really wish I could tell you." He whispered.
"You don't have to."
They both decided to go back home and he drove her back to her house safely.
"Goodnight, Michelle. I'll call you tomorrow, okay?" He said, making MJ smile and then nodded.
"Goodnight, Pete. Thanks for tonight." She kissed his cheek. "Bye." She closed the door behind her.
Peter cursed at himself that he didn't grab the chance to kiss her back at the beach or on her front porch just now. He walked back to the car, disappointed. Suddenly he heard MJ's door creak open again.
"Peter?" She called out then locked eyes on him. His face lit up. She ran to him and smacked lips. He lifted her up and she laughed between their kisses.
"This." She said breathlessly and he put her down. He held her by the waist, she cupped both of his cheeks.
"What?" He asked, confused.
"This. I wanted something just like this." She said, pulling him in yet another kiss.

The Novel's Extra's Extra
As a reader, Cristopher always looked for things that entertained him, didn't matter what the "critics" said, all that matters was his own opinion on the novel, so he started reading "The Novel's Extra", a webnovel that despicts an author who is transmigrated to his own novel. It was fun and all with its own good and bad points, really, one of his favorites novels at the end of the journey, and that's taking into account the little fact that he didn't have too many things he was able to enjoy, not in that empty shell that was called life for him... Why could someone be born like that? With a void inside, an endless void that slowly consumes oneself... But... for better or worse... everything changed one day, the same day he woke up to discover he had the same faith of the author whose novel he just finished reading, becoming an extra in a novel, becoming The novel's extra's extra... /Ok, now that's the description I thought of... first of all, for those of you who are reading this, if any, a few points I have to make clear: 1. I'm not an english native speaker, so if you find anything wrong in the text, please let me know, that would help me learn, and I would be thankful for that.2. I'm writting this out of pure "enjoyment", so while I'll try to be constant, I'll not make any promises.3. True reason why I'm writing this is because I'm going through a moderate to crippling depression right now (and no, is not because anything trully bad and horrendous happened to me, it seems to have something to do with my brain's malfuctioning, among other things), and doctors told me to try writing as I enjoy reading. So yeah, this is more like a self-help excercise, to keep myself distracted while trying to be safe from my self.4. I choose to make a fanfiction of "The Novel's Extra" as I don't trully know how to write, and because I really loved that webnovel, though there are some points I didn't particulary liked.5. If you see some (let's be clear, really much) self insertion on this series, well, that may be me trying to escape reality, to which I make an early warning and disclaimer, and also ask for forgiveness, as I said before, this is more of an excercise, so don't take it too serious.6. I'll be a slow writer, as I have to still check a few things from the novel, even when I've read it like 3 or 4 times already, and because I know shit about writing a novel or a series.7. If you get to enjoy this, then that's good, I would be glad about it, maybe even more motivated, but I don't really expect this to be any good. Thanks to you all who may, or may not, be reading this novel./
