《My Immortals(A One Direction Fanfiction) COMPLETED》Chapter 32

I woke up and felt completely the opposite of those people in those commercials. I bet I looked freaking magical, note the heavy sarcasm.

I groaned, everything hurt. It hurt soooo bad.

"Mornin' Gwen." Harry greeted me, and I could hear the slight smile in his voice.

I turned around and smiled at him. Just him being there made me smile.

But then I saw the bruise on his cheek bone and the scabbed wounds crossing over his chest.

"Oh my gosh! Harry! Are you okay?" I gingerly reached out and traced my fingers along his bruised cheekbone.

"I'll be fine in no time, Gwen." He whispered, gently taking my hand in his.

"I'm better now... So drink my blood." I demanded. He needed to get better, they all did, even though I had no idea how bad they were.

"Gwen, I don't need your blood-"

"Too bad."

He sighed and I pulled my bed hair away from my neck. He pulled me closer to him and I felt his lips press against my neck. The purple throbbed, spreading even more, but I didn't mind it. I felt his fangs break the skin and I gasped, but the high was immediate.

I felt like I was flying. It felt amazing. I felt like I was leaving my body. I flew through time and space before I descended and saw me, dead, in Harry's arms. I stood on the ground and watched the scene. Harry sobbed as he held my body. I was covered in blood, multiple bite wounds covered me. I saw a man laying across the room and noted that he looked oddly familiar. I looked back over at the couple. Harry looked so broken over my body. My hand reached up to his face. Wait, I was still alive? How could I be after all of that?

"Harry, I love you." I coughed as he held my hand on his cheek. Harry was sobbing.

"I'm gonna save you." He whispered. He told me it would hurt, but he was going to save me. I watched him as he gently bit into me and I writhed, but I was too weak to do much. Eventually, I had stopped moving. Harry bit me, over and over, but I could tell we both knew that the other me was already gone. Harry bit into me again, but to no avail. He sobbed as he buried his head against my chest, but immediately pulled away, the silence there piercing him.

"Chris, please." He sobbed as he held my body.

He got angry. He turned his face up to the ceiling and shouted,"Why her? Why me? Why us?"

Silence engulfed us before men'a shouting filled the atmosphere. The door was busted down and men strode in, bearing pitch forks, torches, and knives. They didn't hesitate to step forward and beat Harry as they dragged my body away from him. He fought for me, but it was too late. They dragged him outside and tossed him in the dirt.

"That's the beast, the beast I saw murder Christina!" A man pointed to Harry. I recognized him as the stranger who'd bit me. He grinned evilly at Harry.

"He's a vampire!" A man in the crowd shouted and a chorus of cries followed.

A priest marched forward and held a cross up to Harry, who shrank away, obviously scared something might happen.

"We have to burn anything the beast contaminated!" A man shouted as he and a few men raided the house. They came out with the dead man and another stepped forward with my body. A few ripped up floor boards and set fire upon them. They threw in the man first and I shrieked, how could they?

They stepped forward, ready to throw my body in, but Harry's eyes became their vampire colour and he went full vampire. He fought off the men and took my body in his arms. He turned and used his vampire speed to retreat. I watched him blur away as the townsfolk ran after him but quickly gave up.

I felt myself floating and found myself once again in Harry's arms as he drank my blood.

"Harry?" I gasped. He glanced at me, his vampire eyes on display."What was that?"

He pulled away from my neck and licked it, healing up the wound.

"I must've lost control and accidentally crammed a memory in your mind. What was it about?"

I shrugged. I didn't want to say. But deep down, I felt like it had happened to me. But it couldn't have, I'm Gwen, not Chris. But either way, that dream was creepy.

"Alright, let's go see our new house!" Harry exclaimed.

He grabbed my hand and pulled me up out of the bed.

"Come on, vominos! Everybody let's go! Come on you can do it! Show me we can do it! Where are we going?" I sang, and Harry clapped three times.

"To the kitchen!"

I laughed and Harry led me through the house, which was just a confusing maze for me.

He led me down an elegant spiral staircase and down a hall, through several doors, and into the kitchen. Everyone was already in there and a chorus of good mornings echoed around us. I took a seat at the table and began to eat my waffles.

"So what's on the agenda for the rest of today?" Justin asked as he took a swig of orange juice.

"I really actually don't know..." I replied as Harry gently squeezed my hand.

"Actually, I kind of have something we can all do."

I smiled and we all stood up. Harry gently led me through the maze and to the front door. He stopped me and covered my eyes with his hands. He stood behind me and carefully led me out the door and across the uneven land. I heard a door in front of me creak open. The ground under me crunched and was softer as I was guided forward. Movement around me made me a bit on edge. Harry gently stopped us and turned me a bit around before he took his hands off my eyes. In front of us was a saddled, black stallion.

"Oh my gosh!" I squealed and everyone laughed.

"Here," Harry murmured as he carefully took my hand in his and his other arm was wrapped around my waist. He pulled my hand towards the horse's snout and slowly placed it on its nose. The horse snorted and pushed its nose against my hand. I smiled as Harry laughed and released my waist. I hesitantly moved forward and stroked the horse's neck. He turned his face to me and nudged my side, causing me to laugh.

I turned to Harry, who looked awed,"What?"

"Nothing... It's just, Maxwell doesn't let hardly anyone near him, yet here, a stranger to him, is able to approach him and stroke him."

"Yeah, so? I'm sure this happened for several..."

"He's a descendant of Niles and the only people able to approach him were me as his owner, Niall, Eleanor, Zayn, Dani, and Chris."

I stared at Max in wonder. He stared at me and I gently stroked his mane.

"He seems to trust you... Try Getting on him!" Louis suggested.

"I don't think she's ready to-" Harry began, but stopped since I had already put my foot in the stirrup and mounted the horse. I took the reins in my hands, and it felt natural, but I'd never ridden a horse before. I guess it was just instincts.

Max shifted under me and I gently tightened my thighs. He took several steps forward before he hesitated, unsure of what I wanted. I stroked his neck and leaned forward in the saddle. I looked up and realized that the others were also on horses, all except Harry. He smiled at me as he pulled himself up behind me on Maxwell. I squeezed my thighs together and nudged him forward, out the open barn doors.

"Maybe we should take it slow at first, to get used to him. Have you ever ridden a horse before?"

"No, actually, this is my first time."

I heard Harry scoff behind me as Maxwell slowly walked across the field.

"What?" I asked Harry, his scoff confusing me.

"You just, it doesn't look like your first time. You look so confident and your posture..."

I laughed and clucked my lips a few times, causing Maxwell to speed up a bit. He was still walking now, but at a faster pace.

It felt so natural riding him, the slight breeze, the clouds slowly crossing the sky as the sun beamed down. The tall, green grass danced in the wind as Maxwell walked over it. I wanted more, I nudged him forward into a soft trot as I heard the others hoot behind me. I looked over and watched Louis on his horse canter past me. I waved to him and laughed as he turned and waved back.

I encouraged Maxwell to go faster and he picked up in a quicker trot. I watched as Niall on a paint horse went by and smiled to myself. Zayn, Eleanor, Dani, Liam, Perrie, and Mitchie went by, leaving me, Harry, and Justin. Justin rode up beside us on a tan Palomino and waved to us before he too took off in a canter.

"It's okay, Gwen, you're new at this."

I laughed as I decided my next move. I squeezed my thighs and clucked my tongue, causing Maxwell to speed up and break into a canter, but he didn't stop there, he sped up until he was running, just like a race horse.

"Gwen? You doing okay?" I heard Harry's voice in my ear.

"Yeah!" I yelled, feeling exhilarated. I yelled into the wind as we passed the others and ran along the white fence surrounding our property and instead of turning like I asked him to, he launched himself over the fence. I slammed down on his back and lost all possibility of having children. Maxwell continued running on someone else's property as I pulled on the reins, but he jerked his head away and refused to stop. I felt one of Harry's arms reach around me for the reins, but Maxwell jerked his head forward and refused to be controlled.

Harry let go of me and I didn't feel him behind me anymore.

"Harry?" I called as my throat tightened. I can't do this by myself. I grabbed at the reins and tugged on them, but he shook his head and pushed faster. I couldn't breathe, the air was caught in my throat. We were approaching a forest and I felt sick with fear. I buried my head in his mane, too scared to look.

When Harry was with me, I knew I was safe. Now, my courage left with Harry and I feared this horse.

"Gwen!" I heard a shout but I was too scared to raise my head from the horse's mane.

"Gwen, look at me, it's okay!" I swallowed my fear and peaked up to see Harry running beside the horse. He was using his vampire speed and easily kept up.

"Gwen, I want you to slide to the side by me and jump off, I'll catch you!" He exclaimed as we entered the forest. I clutched the saddle horn for balance because the horse's gait became more rough on the uneven ground.

"Trust me, Gwen, I'll catch you!" He swore and I nodded as I sat up a bit. I gingerly shook my foot out of the stirrup and leaned to the right, but my breath caught as Max stumbled and I slipped. I gripped the saddle horn as my left side hung. My knuckles were white from the tight grip I had on the saddle. I felt branches cutting me as we sped by, but I was more scared of falling.

"Gwen?!" Harry's voice sounded panicked. "I need you to hold on to that saddle as tight as you can, brace yourself!"

"Wha-" I began, but I felt a harsh yank on my arms before I was tugged towards the ground and one hand slipped. Max had just jumped a small creek.

"Gwen!" Harry shouted as I struggled to pull myself back up. My foot found the stirrup and I managed to pull myself up.

"Harry?" My voice came out shaky and I winced. I felt a branch hit me and it sliced my neck.

"Gwen, jump, I'm right here!" I heard his voice close by and I closed my eyes. I pried my hands from the saddle and was about to fall when Maxwell veered suddenly and I was launched into the air.

I could see a tree coming from miles away and I braced myself for impact when I felt something hit me from my right side. I felt a jolt before I collided with the ground, but I landed on something warm.

I slowly rolled over and found myself laying on Harry. I buried my face in his chest, enjoying his safe warmth. I felt his hand stroke my hair and I looked up to see him smiling at me. He kissed my forehead before ruffling my hair.

"I told you I'd catch you," He murmured and I smiled. I leaned down and connected out lips for a sweet and slow kiss.

"You always do," I whispered. Harry smiled, but it soon disappeared. I looked down and saw Harry's shirt stained red. I pressed my hand to my neck but it slid away, covered in blood.

Harry brought his hand up to bite his wrist, but I caught him and gently pulled it down. "You need blood, too."

"Gwen-"

"Just do it, I'm already bleeding."

He leaned forward and I felt him kiss my neck before he pressed his lips to the wound and gently sucked on it. I bit back a whimper. Without the venom from getting bit, I had no high. He put a hand around the back of my neck and pulled me closer as he drank. His other hand slid behind my back as he pulled me against him. I rested my head in the crook of his neck as he licked the wound.

I felt him pull away before he gently pushed me back so he could see my face. He carefully turned me over so my back was to his chest before I heard him bite into his wrist with a soft crunch. He pressed his wrist against my mouth and I slowly opened it, not really thrilled about drinking from him. I felt his blood trickle down my throat as his other hand ran through my hair.

He pulled his wrist away from my mouth and I cringed, feeling the heat of his blood healing me. I curled into him and writhed in pain, but he held me still.

When I stopped writhing, he gently helped me stand up before he pushed a strand of hair behind my ear.

"Are you okay?" He whispered. I shook, the situation had been too much.

"I'm sorry, I should've been in more control, I-"

"It's not your fault, he refused to listen. But he brought us here for a reason, he must've run for miles." He kissed my cheek before he tugged me through the forest and I soon saw a clearing. Harry froze. I pulled on his hand and he hesitantly followed. I carefully walked into the clearing, holding Harry's hand, but stopped, understanding why it looked so familiar.

We were stood in a cemetery.

I walked over to the clearing, holding Harry's hand. I knew this cemetery. I knew it not from reality, but from a dream. A dream where a curly haired angel cried over his lost love. Where he questioned God for taking her. Where I watched him fall apart.

I walked forward, taking note that we were at the back of the cemetery. I wandered through the rows of graves, coming close to the grave I needed to see.

"I'm too sexy for my shirt, too sexy for my shirt, so sexy it hurts!" Harry's phone went off with a crazy ringtone and I looked at him quizzically.

"Hello?" he paused,"Louis, what the heck did you set your ringtone as?"

I laughed, that was strangely predictable.

"Really? Oh, the old cemetery. Yep, that's the one. Uh huh, are you sure? Seriously? Yeah, we'll be there in a bit. Okay. Stay safe."

Harry snapped the phone closed and began to drag me from the cemetery.

"What's going on?"

"We have a visitor."

He helped me mount Maxwell, this time I sat behind him. He urged Maxwell into a run as I held on for dear life. We raced through the woods and cleared the fence to our property. We slowed down to an easy canter as we got closer to the others. I noticed they had already put the horses back in the stables and there was a ninth person with them.

I jumped off of Maxwell and took a step to approach the others, but Harry wrapped an arm around my waist and gently shoved me behind him as he slowly strode forward.

"Who's our friend?" Harry asked as he held me behind him.

"He's with the Wanted-"Liam began, but he was cut off by a fierce snarl from Harry.

"Wait, wait! I have information!" The visitor exclaimed in an Italian accent.

"Oh really? I have a pet vampicorn! Wanna swap?" I exclaimed, angered by this guy. The nerve he had. The utter nerve to show his face here.

"I really do!"

"Guys, he's telling the truth. I can feel it." Niall announced.

"Are you gonna share this information with us?" Liam asked.

"Yes. On one condition."

"Which would be..?" Zayn asked the visitor.

"I'm permitted to drink from the Blood Rose."

"Dude, what are you on?" Louis asked.

"Pardon?"

"What type of drugs are you on?"

"None... Why?"

"Do you honestly think we'd risk Gwen for information?"

"Ah! Important information, mind you!"

"Listen here, pal, you cannot-" Harry cut in.

"I'll do it. One time, and you can't drain me. And everyone will witness here, they'll know when to stop you."

Everyone stated at me in shock.

"Gwen, what-" Harry asked me, questioning my sanity with one of those looks.

"He has important information. I think we could really need this."

I stepped forward and the visitor licked his lips in anticipation. He had shaggy blonde hair, a runner's body, a nice tan, and he was tall. But I watched as he paled and his blue eyes began to flicker.

"Oh, and call me Gwen. I am a person, after all."

I heard him chuckle and I took his hand. It was overheated, but it didn't burn... Yet.

He quickly pulled me into his arms and against his chest.

"Woah, calm down there, bucko." I rubbed my back gingerly.

He chuckled,"Sorry. Name'a Jonathan, by the way."

"Gwen, I don't think this is a good idea-" Eleanor began but I gave her a look.

"Quick and easy. And don't freak if I start acting weird." I warned him.

He nodded, confused."Weird?"

"Just get this over with. And keep touching to a minimal please." I prefer my skin nice and toasty, not burnt to a crisp.

I tilted my head to the side as everyone pressed closely around us, ready to save me. He leaned in and I felt his lips on my neck, the purple spreading. Then, I felt his fangs as they cut through my skin and his skin began to fry me.

I felt Jonathan drinking my blood and I held Harry's hand as he watched me, conspicuously worried.

His expression became humorous. Harry looked so serious, it made me laugh.

"Hey! I have a boyfriend, bucko!" I exclaimed to the guy on my neck."You'd better not be giving me a love bite, I'll knock you on your butt!" I called to him.

I felt weightless, but I had a headache.

"Curly McCurl Curls? I have a headache!" I complained. He gently cupped my cheek.

I felt Jonathan struggling with his morals, his instincts, before I felt him pull from my neck.

Harry immediately pulled me into his arms and he licked the wound, healing it.

I laughed at his disgruntled expression and he motioned to Niall.

Niall put his hand on my chest as electricity fried me and the high left.

"Do you need vampire blood, Gwen?" Harry asked me.

"Nope. Just a headache."

Liam turned to Jonathan,"So what's the big news?"

Jonathan seemed to hesitate before he took a deep breath.

"They're planning a war. And soon."

"AHAHAHA!" The first person to react was me, as everyone stared at me.

"No, seriously, what's the news?" I asked as I wiped tears from my eyes since I had laughed so hard.

"That is the news. I'm serious." Jonathan seemed confused.

"Are you kidding? That is sooo... 'Twilight.'"

"You read that crap?" Louis asked me.

"It's not crap! It's a great story-"

"It's full of lies!"

"Guys, are we really going to fight about this? There's a war coming that we need to discuss!" Liam interrupted.
