《The Dynasty of Hellsing》Child of the moon

I woke up in a silky nest of sheets. Everything remained in silence. It was 4 a.m. and it was still dark even though the sun was rising. I felt someone beside me, a slight weight and as I looked closer I realized that it was Seras' blond head. I softly caressed her face and she woke up startled.
-Relax Seras, it's just me.
-Oh, I'm so so sorry, Miss Wingates !
-Miss Wingates? You were sleeping beside me, why so formal? -I asked laughing. -Call me Iris.
She seemed surprised. I became even more surprised than she when I realized I didn't felt any pain. I lift my shirt and I saw only a slight cut.
-Why is ... why is this ... like this?!
-Well ... -her face turned red.- Callum ordered me to lick it because, apparently, vampire fluids can heal a human.
I didn't know how to react but I thanked her.
Months have passed since that day. I joined the Hellsing army and I would fight against those vampiric creatures. I didn't wanted to be treated any different than the rest of the army, Integra was my sister but she considered my action as treason. I understood her and I suffered for her. Her pain and my need for vengeance fueled me. I would not forget what they did to Devin.
I was the last one in the shooting court, it was getting dark. My hand where numb from the shooting and my head was aching but my mind would not let me stop. All I heard was the muffled shots but suddenly my eye started to burn in such a way that i felt myself forced to stop. I saw a white blur hiding. I heard the wind whispering my name. Slowly ...

"Iris ... Iris ... Come to me... Iris..."
Certainly I was hallucinating, my senses were being fooled, maybe I was tired from all the training I forced myself endure. I heard the voice becoming more and more distant.
"Follow me, Iris..."
The voice seemed to touch something inside me. I felt compelled to follow it. I could not see anything but a white blur leading the way. Close to a fountain a figure called me without a voice, I saw its back and I could not understand what was it. A soothing and beautiful voice started to sing:
"Like snow, the angels will fall
Madness will rise
Drink from Lete
And live again"
She was covered with a white cloak. Slowly I came closer. Her voice was divine as if it was sent from the Heavens.
-Your heart comes heavy to me. -She said with her docile voice. I didn't understood and I didn't said a word. -Come closer, child of the moon ..
And so I did, I sat beside her but I could not dare look at her face. She was gently caressing the water with her fingertips.
-You seek love, so desperately as a little bird. She will not love you, Iris ...-as she spoke she lowered her hood. I could see her face, my heart stopped for a while. All her self exuded poise and grace. Her face seemed sculpted from marble, no flaw what so ever. I could not see it but my heart did. Something so deep that scared my heart, I could not be wrong. -But I will.
As I looked astonished the words slid out of my mouth:
"Mother?"
I fell into a dark deep echo.

Midnight Origins: Arrival
On a lush planet known as Bhar, Verun is now the leading nation in the development of the rivaled schools of Magic and Science. Having brought forth an era of peace and prosperity for themselves through the development of Magitech, The High council was eager to spread their knowledge and beliefs to the furthest reaches of the continent, with the goal of ending senseless conflicts and prioritizing advancements in Magitech and improving the quality of life. This ambition, however, is not without opposition. Most followers side with one school or another, believing it is superior in nature. This conflict dates back to the very beginning of civilization itself, where it is believed by both sides that their gods descended from the heavens, bestowing upon them the knowledge that would bring the world into a new age. And though some took great interest in their differences, others would seek to convert each other through any means necessary. That being the case, The High council, leaders of Verun, had made the necessary preparations to handle threats and attempt diplomacy between the remaining opposers. Talented volunteers were hand chosen to be among the military, tasked with protecting the nation from both internal and external threats. And although non-biological creations have improved quality of life, they are not yet capable of replacing the military. The necessary research and development for such a thing was thought to be decades away, until Councilman Eranor encountered an anomaly in his facility…
