《The Dynasty of Hellsing》La Vie

And there I was again. Whenever I felt lonely I went to La Vie, it was a fancy bar, very pleasant to the eyes and refreshing to the soul. I lost my job at the art gallery DeMilo and I was wandering if a exquisite place like this would take me in. But what should I expect? Cleaning dishes? I didn't spent four years learning about the fine arts to appeciate the simpleness of plain dishes. But I did like to be surrounded by such people. My light could never outlight them, oh no, I would only stay in the dark and dream of it.

I drank a sip of my Glenrothes whiskey, it was like honey in my mouth. A man sat beside me. I looked at him and he looked at me, his eyes were red and I thought that I haven't drink enough to be drunk. He had long black hair tied with a red ribbon and very light skin, even for a english man. I loved his suit, pure black with a red tie. I found his presence a little bit disturbing but I had no reason to complain. I just minded my own business but his presence would increase on me, would it crush me? I felt him staring at me, I felt his eyes piercing my body.

"It's all in your mind." - I told to myself. I payed and left.

The moon was on it's apogee and it was cold. The only thing I could hear was pure silence, the kind of silence that put me anxious. I started to walk faster but I heard steps behind me, and looked behind. I saw no one so I stopped and turned back. Was I going crazy? Naaaah, maybe is that miraculous wiskey fault. I turned back to my way and went against a wall. How the hell?! And then I realized it wasn't a wall but a man. I closed my eyes apologizing for my rudeness but when I realized who actually was it I started to get scared. It was that man again from the bar. He grin and with panic in my voice I asked: "May I help you with something?"

-Why yes, Iris Wingates. You need to come with me. -his voice seemed omnipresent and dark.

-Why? Are you a cop or something?

-Do I look like one?

-Then why should I go with you?

-Don't you want to know the truth? -he grin again and seemed to enjoy my worry. -I thought you were going to be boring and cooperative.

-Wha...What do you mean?

He held out his hand and with the other discreetly pointed a path. I would like to know why I had such confidence in that man.
