The rest of the morning was spent with thorough cuddles and kisses. Neither boy could complain, they were in a trance with each other.

Currently, Darryl was playing with the younger boy's raven colored hair as he laid in his lap. They were watching television, but he couldn't recall what the show was called. He just knew Zak enjoyed it, and that's all he cared about right now.

Suddenly, Zak looked up at his boyfriend. In return, Darryl looked down at him.

"Can we go stargazing?" Zak asked quietly, pointing to the television. Darryl hadn't been paying attention, so when he looked up he noticed the show Zak was watching was playing a camping episode. The main characters were laying on a blanket under the stars on a large hill.

Darryl chuckled, caressing Zak's cheek.

"Of course we can, you muffin."

Zak smiled, sitting up and hugging Darryl. The older boy hugged him back, pulling him closely into his body.

"What color are stars?" He heard Zak mumble, so he pulled away to look at him.

Darryl pondered for a moment before responding, "I'm not too sure. They could just be white, but maybe they're yellow? I haven't really looked at them."

Zak nodded, taking his answer as enough. He laid back down, resting his head back in Darryl's lap. The older boy continued to play with his hair, softly running his fingers along Zak's scalp.

The younger boy soon drifted off to sleep, which left Darryl stuck.

He didn't want to get up and disturb Zak, since he was sleeping so peacefully. Still, he didn't want to sit there and do nothing.

He tried to lean forward and reach the remote from the coffee table, but his hand was too far away. He didn't want to crush Zak's head when he leaned, so he stopped trying. Instead, he pulled his phone out of his pocket and starting searching.

Darryl typed into google, "Best places to stargaze near me." Google immediately asked to know his location, which he allowed. He scrolled through a few websites, which listed scenic parks and nature trails not far from them.

He wanted to go tonight, since Zak had to work the next day and would be too tired afterward.

After a few minutes of scrolling and clicking on links, he found the perfect place. It was about 20 minutes away from them, and it had a nice nature trail that led to a large hill clearing that opened up to the town below. Darryl had never heard of it before, but now that he had he was excited to go.

When he woke, his head was cushioned on something extremely soft. He slowly opened his eyes and saw he was still in Darryl's living room.

Zak turned his head and looked up, meeting Darryl's bright green eyes. The older boy smiled down at him, putting his phone away.

"Good morning, sleepy head. Did you sleep well?" Darryl questioned, running his fingers through Zak's hair once more.

Zak grumbled in response, rubbing his eyes and sitting up. "Can I sleep more?"

His boyfriend chuckled, shaking his head.

"No, silly. You wanted to go stargazing, so that's what we're doing. We need to go to the store first." He responded, still smiling at his sleepy boyfriend.

Zak became alert at the mention of stargazing, instantly becoming excited. Darryl chuckled at his boyfriend's sudden energy, ruffling his hair.

"Come on, let's go."

The moment Zak's foot touched the tile inside Walmart, he turned into a toddler... not literally.

He began running around, pointing at random objects and turning to his boyfriend, who trailed behind. While Zak admired almost every item he passed, Darryl was busy admiring him.

After a few minutes of the raven haired boy running around, Darryl dragged him down the home aisles, grabbing a few things which he wouldn't let Zak see. All Zak knew was that he grabbed a soft, red plaid blanket from one of the large baskets in the middle of the aisles and shoved it on top of the cart so he couldn't see anything else.

Darryl wandered the aisles, letting Zak roam and be the excited boy he was.

While he did that, Zak was busy staring at a display for headphones. There were multiple brands, all specialized for gaming. He wanted a new headset for minecraft since his was beginning to go bad.

He picked up a headset that had an RGB logo on the side, which flashed different colors as long as it was plugged in.

It turned from a bright red to a sunset orange, then transformed into a bright, spring green. He watched it change in loops as if he were in a trance, until a hand gripped his shoulder softly.

Zak snapped around to whoever it was, feeling relieved when he saw his boyfriend's smiling face.

"Do you want that?" Darryl motioned to the black headset still in Zak's hands. The younger boy shook his head, setting it back on the display.

"No, it's fine. I should save my money for moving out, anyway." Darryl chuckled, leaning down and grabbing a box that held the headset from below the display.

Zak looked at him with an eyebrow raised. "I'll buy it for you, muffin."

The raven haired boy's eyes lit up, but he tried to hide his excitement.

"You don't have to do that, I can save up!" Darryl shook his head, kissing Zak's forehead. He stayed silent, putting the headset in the cart with the rest of the hidden items. He grabbed Zak's hand, tugging him along to the checkout.

While Darryl put the items on the conveyor, he made Zak look away so he wouldn't spoil the surprise. To occupy himself, Zak looked at all the gadget displays that they had behind him. He picked up a bright blue keychain flashlight, clicking it on and off for fun.

"Zak, lets go." Darryl called to him, which made the boy rush to set it down and follow his boyfriend out of the store.

The door shut behind the two boys as they walked back into the apartment, Darryl carrying all the bags since he didn't want Zak to peek inside.

He set the bags down on the kitchen counter and stepped toward his boyfriend, who stood smiling at him.

Zak wrapped his arms around Darryl's neck, smiling up at him.

"So, where are we going tonight?" He teased, hoping to get a hint. Darryl smirked and shook his head, putting his hands on the small of Zak's back. He pulled him closer, resting their foreheads against each other.

"Not telling you, little muffin." He then slid his hands towards Zak's hips.

Then came the tickles.

When Darryl's fingers began to move rapidly along Zak's sides, he tensed before erupting into a fit of uncontrollable giggling.

"Darryl! S-Stop! I ca-an't breathe!" He yelled through laughs, trying to control himself. Darryl didn't stop, digging harder into the raven haired boy's sides.

"Never!" He laughed, continuing his assault.

Zak managed to detach himself from Darryl's grasp, moving quickly across the room. Daryl gasped, reaching for the younger boy.

"Now you cant tickle me." Zak giggled, throwing himself down on the couch. He grabbed a blanket and pulled it over his head, hiding his whole body underneath.

Darryl smiled at his boyfriend's goofy actions before he checked his phone. He noticed it was getting late, so he called out to Zak.

"We need to go, Zak. Don't you want to see the surprise?"

The boy instantly shot out from under the blanket, running towards the front door.

"Let's go!"

Darryl chuckled, admiring his boyfriend. He grabbed the bags from the counter and followed Zak out the door.

Hiking up the hill wasn't difficult... for Zak anyway.

Darryl had 4 bags on him, along with a backpack full of other things Zak couldn't know about.

Zak was able to run up the steep incline. He then turned and sat in the grass, giggling softly as he watched his boyfriend struggle.

"You know, you could help me." Darryl called out to him, but Zak just shook his head and leaned his body back, laying down to face the stars.

The exhausted boy finally made it to Zak, setting the bags down lightly, before throwing himself down next to the younger boy.

It was silent for a few moments until Zak broke it.

"So... what's in the bags?" He giggled again, sitting up to peer inside.

Darryl sat up with him, opening the bags and taking out what he needed.

First, he grabbed the large, red plaid blanket from one bag and unrolled it, fanning it in the air before laying it down on the grass. He then pulled out a few candles from another bag as well as little metal disks.

Zak looked at him curiously, pointing at the disks.

Darryl held one up and smiled at him. "They're to set the candles on so they don't catch the grass on fire."

His boyfriend giggled at him, nodding. Darryl continued to pull items out of the bags, including a little bag of chocolates, another smaller blanket, and two bottles of soda.

"Those will be warm." Zak pointed out, pouting.

Darryl shook his head, "No, it's cold enough around this time that they'll still be a little cold."

"But not fridge cold!"

"Stop complaining, you muffin."

Darryl finished pulling out the items, the last of which was a long tipped lighter. He set the metal disks down on the ground around the blanket and set one candle on each one. Then, he went around and lit each candle, creating a small source of light other than the moon.

Zak smiled at his boyfriend, laying down in the middle of the blanket. Darryl joined him, putting his should up against Zak's.

The raven haired boy put his head against Darryl's shoulder, cuddling into his side. Together, they looked up at the stars.

"This is exactly what I wanted." Zak whispered.

Darryl turned his head and looked down at his boyfriend.

"You're exactly what I wanted."

Zak looked back up at him before bursting out in laughter. He began to cough, so he sat up to avoid it.

"That was so cheesy!" He coughed out, still laughing.

Darryl pouted, feeling hurt. Zak noticed and laid back down, putting his head on Darryl's chest.

"I'm sorry, it was sweet. Just a little cheesy, but that's how you are and I love that." He smiled, tracing patterns on Darryl's stomach with his finger.

Darryl ran his fingers through his boyfriend's dark hair, smiling down at him.

"I think stars are yellow." He spoke after a moment of silence, earning another small chuckle from Zak.

"I like yellow." Zak responded softly, staring up at the countless stars above them.

Suddenly, they saw a trail of light run across the sky. Zak gasped, pointing up to it and looking at his boyfriend. "Look! A shooting star!"

"What are you going to wish for, little muffin?"

The raven haired boy smiled at his boyfriend. He leaned over and gave him a quick kiss on the lips before going back to laying on his chest.

"I already have everything I need."
