《Badly Broken》Chapter 4

I was staring off into space. Then something really important popped into my head, did I really just fuck around with another guy???
In case you were wondering, yes, I am a virgin. Just because I'm what some people would call a "bad boy" doesn't mean I'm a fuck boy or that I like to sleep around. Sure I party and have made out with some random girls, but I had never really been interested in getting intimate with any of them.
Just at the thought about having my first sexual experience with a guy had me groaning and putting my head in my hands, rubbing my face. When I first woke up I thought I had just had some totally wack dream but when I saw Lucas next to me, I knew it was no dream.
As I mentally slapped myself over and over again I didn't realize that Lucas woke up.
He rolled around in the bed for a minute and then groaned as he stretched his arms above his head. He saw me sitting at my desk in my own world. He looked around the room, seemingly trying to recall the events of last night.
He got up and grabbed his underwear off the floor and put them back on. Lucas slowly walked towards me and wrapped his arms around my neck. He totally caught me off guard, but in a way, it felt kind of nice, almost relaxing.
I stood up to face him, his arms still wrapped around my neck. I wrapped my arms around his waist and pulled him towards me. I don't know why I'm doing this, but it just feels right. And I wasn't one to be shy.
I was already confused enough at the thought of suddenly awakening a dormant attraction to men, let alone a man that I have been fighting with for years, just adding to my confusion. Now not only did I need to question my sexual orientation, but also my relationship with my so-called rival.
"Lucas?" I asked.
"Yeah?"
"Since when are you gay?" I said in a playful way. I was genuinely curious, I always had him pegged as the straightest guy on Earth, he was a stereotypical bad boy, so naturally, I assumed he was straight.
He laughed at that, "Since when have you been gay?"
I couldn't help myself but let nervous laughter slip out, "Hahaha. The funny thing is I was straight until you sat on my lap last night." I said staring into his eyes, not backing down.
He looked completely shocked. "Seriously?? You let another guy suck you off... and then returned the favor when you don't even swing for the other team?" He asked with that questioning smirk of his.
I mirrored his smirk, "I know what I want, that and I was kinda drunk too." I said nonchalantly. "You didn't answer my question though..."
He let go of my neck and walked towards the pile of his clothes on the ground. As he pulled up his pants he began to say "Remember freshman year when we first started fighting? Well, at first I hated you, like really hated you. Then last year during one of our fights during second period when no one was around and somehow you ended up on top of me, beating the shit out of my face. Well, you obviously didn't notice but you were sitting on my dick, and for some reason I got super turned on..."

My mouth was wide open. I remembered that fight, I was punching his face when I felt something rise underneath me but I thought it was just cause he was trying to get out of under me. "You got hard?!" I gasped at him.
"Yeah," he pulled his shirt over his head, "That's why I elbowed you in the face and ran off. I actually went to the bathroom to take care of... well, you know."
"Holy shit!" I said staring at him.
"Yeah." He laughed as he put his leather jacket on. "Last night I thought you were going to push me off, then I just would have played the I'm messing with you card, but I clearly didn't need that."
I gave him a blank expression, how could he be so nonchalant about this?
"I can't believe you actually willingly jacked me off though, that one definitely took me by surprise." He said.
Lucas stepped closer to me. So close that I could feel his breath on my lips. He was staring at them as if they were his prey. Not moving away from my face he brought his eyes to mine.
Damn, what was he doing to me?
"I mean, it's obvious that neither of us take our fights seriously. If either of us did, do you really think they would end with just a couple of bruises and cuts?"
He did have a good point, even my friends had brought up the fact that I was just playing with him, but I guess he was doing the same.
I grabbed the back of his head and pushed my lips onto his. Our kiss was rough as our tongues battled for dominance, just as we always do. My hands aggressively rustled through his hair and I found his hand traveling downward as he bit my lower lip. His hand gripped my junk through my underwear as I took a sharp breath in.
He smiled on my mouth pulling our lips apart, "You are so gay." he laughed.
"Shut up, I'm not completely gay, not like you, who apparently got hard while a guy was beating the crap out of him, you masochistic bastard." I laughed, mumbling the last part, his hand slightly massaging over my underwear.
"Says you, who claims he was straight. But in reality, there's no way you were straight if you switched teams just cause some guy sat on your lap."
I laughed at that.
I looked down then chuckled seeing his hand touching me. I looked back at Lucas then grabbed his wrist, "If you keep doing that I'm going to have a problem." I said.
He smiled and said, "I could help you with that problem."
I raised an eyebrow, "And I'm the gay one??"
"But seriously, I actually have something to do right now, maybe you can help me with my... problem, later." I teased him as I turned to sit back in my chair.
I realized that we were acting as if we had been friends for years, it made me ask myself why I actually hated him so much. And I don't think I actually hated him, I just... I honestly don't even know anymore.
I'm not really sure why we fought all the time... it just became normal after a while, at some point we didn't need a reason or even have to be angry to throw a punch in the other's direction, we were always just messing with each other.

He came and leaned against the side of my desk to see what I was doing. "What's that?" He asked.
"Uhh, I don't know if I should really tell you."
He gave me the are you fucking kidding me look, "I uh, It's kinda like my job so to speak... '' I was reluctant to talk to him about it since the rules of mad Dog specify that you can't talk about it to people that might leak information about it to the general public. It was an illegal operation after all.
"Have you ever heard of something called Mad Dog?" I asked, coming to the conclusion that I'd only tell him if he already knew about it. I don't really feel like having to worry about scary men in black suits trying to kill me, sure I can fight well, but that doesn't do a whole lot when you have several people trying to gun you down.
"You mean the fight club Mad Dog? Yeah, I've been a couple of times." He leaned his face closer to my computer screen, needing to hunch over due to his tall height, "Wait, do you fight at Mad Dog?"
Relieved that I wouldn't have to awkwardly kick him out of my house so I could get stuff done I replied, "Yeah, the finals for One-On-One are tonight and I was just checking up on my opponent."
Lucas paused for a second, turning his head and staring directly into my eyes. He raised one eyebrow, "Damn, I knew you were good at fighting, but I didn't know you were good enough to make it to the championship match." He said as a smile appeared in his face, he almost looked proud.
"Wow, that means you really have been just playing around with me at school," he chuckled, "I mean, even people from out of state come to fight there, like that one famous boxer from New York."
"Yeah, I'm actually fighting him tonight, you should come and watch."
"Sure. So, what's your game plan then?"
"Well, I was trying to figure that out last night but then you woke up and I got..." I paused for a second thinking of the right word, "distracted."
"Let me help you figure something out, I specialize in strategy," he beamed as his bright emerald eyes bore into mine.
He looked serious about helping but I was questioning if he was actually going to be helpful.
Lucas swiftly situated himself on my lap, clicking away at my computer. I looked around the side of Lucas and saw him playing one of Griffith's matches and I wrapped my arms around his torso.
He smelled like sweat, but it was alluring and made me want to bury my face in his back.
"He's a slugger. You can tell cause If you look at this part right here..." He pointed at the screen, "his mobility isn't great, and if you look here, his punches are long and a bit slow, but he makes up for it with the strength in each hit..."
"You know a lot about fighting don't you?" I asked, looking up at him, my chin resting on his shoulder.
"I know a bit about boxing. He's clearly had a little training, and since, I'm assuming you haven't, your style is a little more all over the place. But even without training, you're still pretty good so I'm sure you'll do fine."
"If he's a slugger, what would that make me?"
"Hmmm, you don't fight in a boxing style so it's kinda hard to say, but I guess you could be considered a switch-hitter."
"Sorry, but what's a switch hitter?"
"Right, uhm..." Lucas paused, "it's when a fighter switches back and forth between their right and left hand which really confuses the opponent."
"Oh." I was surprised, I didn't know Lucas liked boxing.
Over the next couple of hours, Lucas helped me come up with a game plan to beat Griffith.
As we walked into Mad Dog you could immediately smell the stench of alcohol, smoke, and sweaty guys.
I didn't come here often, I had only found out about it a month or so ago from a rumor going around at another little fighting ring I used to be a regular at.
I love watching boxing, but there's something about this kind of fighting that I really like. I'm not sure if it's the fact that the fighting styles are all so different or that it's a great escape from reality.
As I walked down the countless stairs with Kai I looked around at the familiar fight club. Straight ahead you could see the pit, which is what they called the fighting ring. It was a concrete structure that was sunken into the ground, isolating the fighters from the crowd. The only other people allowed down there during fights beside the fighters was the announcer.
Since today was the last fight of One-On-One the crowd was larger than normal, probably around seven or eight hundred. This place was practically an underground stadium.
We went straight to the back where we entered a room. The man in front immediately recognized Kai, apparently he was a big shot down here.
The large man was wearing a suit and had on sunglasses and an earpiece. Since it was nearly 6 pm and dark out I just assumed he wore sunglasses because he didn't want people to be able to recognize him, or maybe he just wanted to look cool, but what would I know. And when I say large, I mean a guy that was about 5'10, about 4 inches shorter than me, but he looked like he had a good 80 pounds on me.
We walked into Kai's fight room, which is the fight club equivalent of a dressing room. He stripped right in front of me. He put on an all-black pair of athletic shorts and shoes.
As he moved to get some athletic tape to wrap his hands, he peeled his shirt off turning away from me.
That's when I noticed something on his back, a large, ugly scar that went all the way from his right shoulder blade down his back, snaking around his side and disappearing into the hem of his shorts near the front of his hip. I might not have even noticed the scar if it weren't for the fact that it was over an inch thick all the way around.
I hadn't noticed it last night which I'm sure is attributed to my drunken state...
I walked closer to him, trailing a finger down his scar.
He froze up, startled. But then his expression changed. His jaw went slack and his gaze drifted towards nothing, the light leaving his eyes, completely emotionless.

The Ruined Monks of Rothfield Monastery
Erin is the youngest member of the dark monks; a supernatural brotherhood whose ultimate mission is to improve the dire circumstances of poor, war-torn villages using powers unique to each member. Or so he was led to believe. Erin, like his brothers, does not age, and that is, unfortunately, the only trait he shares with them. He cannot charm or compel like Woodrow, he cannot cast illusions like Knox, he was not swift like Swithin, not powerful like Blake. He was barely an assistant to his dear brother Wilbur, with his herbology and alchemy. He was told to lie low and make himself scarce. That is what he did. The dark monks temporarily reside in abandoned monasteries scattered around the country, feeding the poor and healing the sick, nurturing the monastic lands until it was fertile enough to raise crops and rear animals. As the years passed, they would leave these reformed, repopulated, self-sustaining monasteries and venture froth to help the next settlement. Yet, after years of toiling and quiet servitude, Erin notices that people and the country itself are declining. The villagers look gaunt, the once-lush soil now barren and cracked. He begins to feel disheartened, thinking that their mission is proving futile. Still, their leader Blake is steadfast and charges onward, and lately has his eyes set on a certain monastery in a thick, thorned forest that seems to diminish, even nullify their powers. A thick forest that Erin somehow has a connection to. A thorned glade where an ethereal voice calls his name with one simple request along with a promise:Heal the land, child. Heal the land and I promise to give you sanctuary so long as you stay. I promise to nurture you as you nurture me. As Erin cultivates the land, the land, in turn, gifts all its caretakers with new, enhanced skillsets on top of their unique powers -- skills of protection, healing, and magic. Magic. Erin had long wished to see the world fill with it again. The people, regardless of common or noble blood, still believe that magic will enter this world again. Magic to bless the king like it did the Saints. Magic to dispel the miasma befouling the world. Magic to bring back the fae folk and their many forms. It is up to Erin to forge the many paths leading to a bright future; to build a prosperous paradise that welcomes all races and bloodlines, by mastering the rewards gained through agriculture, horticulture, and animal husbandry, smithing, crafting, and fishing. Erin may also find a lifelong friendship and romance with his neighbor, Claude, if he decides to pursue him, and may even join him in the military campaign outside the monastery. The darkness still lurks outside, after all, and the mastery of his skills, along with a few good friends, may finally be enough to turn the tide in their favor. Most of all, Erin wants to keep the vow he set for himself: to protect everyone and everything he loves until his dying breath.

Eight Years Ago"Mom.." I say with a small smile on my face.My sister had passed her first music lesson and we're all so proud of her."What is it Layla!? can't you see I'm busy?!" She snaps."Oh.." I say, my smile faltering slightly, as I watch mom cuddle Heidi and give her lots of sweets as reward."C-can I have a sweetie too?" I ask.Mom laughs coldly. "Why should you? You've never achieved anything, have you?! Lazy little brat." Heidi giggles and I look at her to see a smirk on her face, making my face fall. I watch mom whisper things to Heidi, making her giggle even more. The door swings open, and my dad walks in.I smile again, running to him and hug his knees but he just brushes me off with an annoyed expression, walking towards my mom hugging her and ruffling Heidi's hair. What's going on?"Dad..ruffle my hair too?" I ask hesitantly. All three of them burst out laughing and I sink down in embarassment."Layla, we always knew you weren't the brightest kid here." He laughs "I just knew you'd be a screw up, right Luise?" He says and she nods."And I was right. You're a failure" He grabs my maths sheet, crumples it up and throws it at me. "You spend way too much time with your 'friends' never on your education, you ungrateful little brat. We should've got rid of you as soon as we found out you were on the way." He spits out spitefully as my mum nods, still smirking."Dad I'll do better, I promise!"I sob, tears streaming down my face, but he shakes his head, smirking. I look at my sister and walk towards her giving her a watery smile."H-Heidi... we're still friends right?" I ask, desperately. Her smirk slowly vanishes. she leans forward and I thought she'd hug me, but instead she pulls my hair and pushes me onto the floor making me scream. She laughs, my parents joining her."Stupid" she hisses, kicking me, before going to my parents, all of them walking out, leaving me on the floor, crying my eyes out. What have I done to deserve this?
