《OOC!》Chapter 24

The end of lectures has arrived and everyone was already starting to make their own lanterns.
Both Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji are obviously partners, Nie Huaisang and Jin Zixuan also became partners.
And Canon folders are partners with Canon folders.
"Hey Lan Zhan! Look at what I drew!" Wei Ying showed his lantern with two bunnies drawn on it.
Lan Wangji gave the younger a small smile before showing his Oh so embarrassing drawing of two people, one with red hair ribbon and the other without.
Wei Wuxian held his laugh behind his sleeves "Hey! It's not that bad!"
"Yeah, Yeah it's not. This one apologizes for making fun of Second Young Master Lan." Wei Wuxian managed to say.
Soon after they all let their lanterns go up in the air.
"I, Wei Wuxian, wish to stand by Justice and live without regrets."
It was nice to hear that his beloved still had the same promise as the last time He smiled before making his own 'I, Lan Wangji, wish to stand by Wei Ying and live without regrets.'
The two then smiled as they looked at each other.
"Ey! Jin-xiong! What did you wish for?" Nie Huaisang asked "Obviously I wished for a girl who would be suitable as my wife and would make a great Sect Madam" Jin Zixuan had said.
"Great! I had hoped I passed this year! I don't think I want to repeat and die by da-ge's hands!"
Wei Wuxian then turned to Lan Wangji "I'Il be heading back to Dafan Tomorrow, Nie-xiong, how are the wards in Meishan Yu fairing?" He asked and Nie Huaisang smirked.
"According to Yu-zongzhu the wards were doing perfectly well!" He fanned himself.
"Glad that worked out! Hey Lan Zhan! Let's go see the bunnies!"
"Mn."
The two walked hand on hand with each other as they made their way towards the bunny field which by now probably has around 20 bunnies, now that there were a mix of females and males, over the years it would just multiply.
When they arrived WeiWei and Lan-er had already made their way towards them.
Wei Wuxian grabbed Lan-er before he sat down to pet the rabbit and Lan Wangi following after.
The two then went into a comfortable silence as Wei Wuxian leaned himself onto Lan Wangji's shoulder.
"Right! Qing Jie sent a warning for something!" Wei Wuxian suddenly said before he looked at Lan Wangji.
"What?" He asked.
"She said that Sect Leader Wen is acting kind of suspicious and told me to tell you and the other's to prepare for anything."
Lan Wangji smiled before going on to fix the younger's bangs "We are prepared, Wei Ying did help us make the wards of Cloud Recesses stronger, we also have some of your talismans, what do we have to worry about with Wei Ying's invention being so useful." he pinched his bunny's cheek.

"L-Lan Zhan! Stop saying things like that." Wei Wuxian huffed before he made Lan-er face him "Lan-er...look at this human beside me Ah...he's bullying me!"
"I am not bullying Wei Ying, I was meaning to compliment him, I apologize if I gave the impression of bullying you."
"Now you're just teasing me aren't you?"
"Hm? I don't know bunny, Am I?"
"D-don't call me bunny!"
"Alright Bunny! So Bunny, give me a hug!"
"Lan Zhan! Stop chasing me! I can't believe you got your title as the stoic ice prince when you're a shameless human in disguise!"
"You love it anyway! So stop complaining and give me the hug I deserve!"
Lan Wangji went on and grabbed the teen as the two fell on the ground and Lan Wangji hugged him.
"Lan Zhan, you really are the bestest friend I could ever ask for." Wei Wuxian sighed out which made Lan Wangji want to cry.
'I just got friendzoneeeeedd T^T'

Jiang Yanli only has a month left and she already has a lot of pressure.
She hopes she finally has progress, she hates this all, Jiang Cheng never had to feel pressured because he already formed his core at such a young age.
She went towards her granduncle who took her wrist and her whole family looking at her expectantly.
Jiang Qiong had managed to finally feel a bit of spiritual energy moving through Jiang Yanli, not enough to fully form a core, so say he was disappointed instead of being proud she had managed to form progress would be the exact thing he was feeling.
He didn't want any from these family to lead but only time will tell.
"You have finally made progress." He said and many faces of relief came from the Jiang Family.
"However..." he started which made Jiang Yanli flinch.
"This isn't even halfway close to forming a core, your position as Heir is secured, but if you lose all that few spiritual energy in your meridians, see yourself out." he said it as a warning.
And with that Jiang Qiong left the main Hall.
Jiang Yanli sighed in relief 'Hopefully the rumors about me already making progress would start spreading, we would already regain Yunmeng's face.' she thought.
And so Madam Yu made sure the rumors started growing that Jiang Yanli had finally made progress.
Madam Yu was proud looking that her daughter's position is secured but if the spiritual energy drains she is no longer allowed to be a Sect Heir.
"Eh? Lady Jiang finally made progress?"
"Took her long enough."
"I heard it was too little though."
"As long as there's progress, anything worse and I'm taking my shop away from Yunmeng."
"They better not let us down, I still miss Wei-gongzi though."
"We all do."
The rumors had reached a certain Nie heir who smirked.
"Good news? Ahh Jiang Yanli, I may not know much about your secrets but I'll let you off for now..."

Tea was poured onto his cup.
"Took her 8 months or so to get atleast a few spiritual energy running through your meridians..." The person sighed.
"But I can't have the Jiang sect regaining glory now can I?"
A small chuckle was heard in the room.
"Yu Lei-ge...Isn't it time we let out your sister's little secret out?"
The Yu in question smirked as he sipped his tea.
"Mind reminding me which one Sang-di?"
A fan snapped open.
"Let's start with her supposed to be Jin Guangshan's first concubine shall we?"
"Would it be better if we spread the rumors or someone would send some letters to Jiang Fengmian and have him confront the Lady herself?"
"Yu Lei, Jiang Fengmian rarely gets angry, how are you going to make sure he yells that loud for the rumors to pass?"
"That shouldn't be a problem, you have a useful friend, Wei Wuxian wasn't it?"
"What about him?"
"I asked him to make a talisman which will rise someone's anger, I told him I wanted to make pranks out of it, he relented but I told him that if time comes Meishan Yu will be welcome to protect him and a few others he wishes to protect."
"Sly one aren't you?"
"As if you aren't the same, So....which choice will it be?"
"I'Il choose..."
"You know how to have fun don't you?"
—————————
A month after the rumor of Jiang Yanli having managed to be able to make progress Jiang Fengmian was in his shared office without Ziyuan grudgingly doing her paperwork as she wasn't allowed to nighthunt for a year...unfortunately the year had added another 2 more.
He was okay in doing the sect work all by himself.
But sometimes it was too stressful that maybe he was kind of grateful for this change.
"You have been watching me for nearly a year now! Don't you have better things to do than watch me!?" Yu Ziyuan snapped. "I still don't trust you, question me again and I will permanently ban you from nighthunting." Jiang Qiong fought back.
As Jiang Fengmian was going to intervene the door opened with a messenger coming in holding out a letter from Meishan Yu.
"Why are you giving that to Fengmian!? Isn't that from Meishan Yu!? Shouldn't I be the one receiving it!?" She yelled at the messenger.
"Woman shut up!" Jiang Qiong pushed her back onto her seat.
"Apologies Madam Jiang-" Yu Ziyuan glared "-this letter has been addressed to Sect Leader Jiang."
Jiang Fengmian looked at the letter, it had the decorations of the usual letters from Meishan Yu and it had their symbol on it which means it isnt a fake one.
"Who sent it?" He asked.
"The one who sent this letter wishes not to be known but he said I can simply say that they are from the main family." the messenger had said.
"Thank you, that is all, you may leave." the messenger kowtowed and left the office.
Jiang Fengmian opened the letter and a few papers fell out which made him confused before he started reading it.
The first one was the certificate of then he accepted and agreed to the engagement.
And another one was their marriage contract which was on the same day as their engagement, they decided to hurry a marriage within a month which still confused him to this day but he didn't think much of it.
He was confused as of why Meishan Yu would send him this before he checked the other contents...to his surprise he saw that a marriage contract to be the first concubine of Jin Guangshan was here too.
What does it have to do with anything? He then saw the bottom part which was signed by no other than Yu Ziyuan.
And this was 1 month before they got married and 1 month before he accepted the request.
She was already married to the Jin Sect and she dares to marry into the Jiang sect!? He felt angry for some reason, he doesn't get mad easily but he was clenching onto the papers.
Is she some kind of spy? That would have made more sense onto why she would always nighthunt that often.
"WHAT are you clenching around that paper for!? Show me the contents!" Yu Ziyuan snapped.
Jiang Fengmian slammed his hand on her table which made her growl and stood up before crossing her arms "JIANG FENGMIAN! YOU DARE SLAM YOU HAND ON MY DESK!? HOW SHAMEFUL ARE YOU!?"
"HOW SHAMEFUL AM I!? AREN'T YOU THE ONE WHO MARRIED INTO THE JIN SECT AS A CONCUBINE BEFORE YOU MARRIED ME!? TELL ME WHO IS MORE SHAMEFUL!?"
This made Yu Ziyuan froze "What lies are you speaking!?" She snapped and Jiang Qiong took the letters from Jiang Fengmian "LIES!? ARE YOU SAYING YOUR FAMILY WHO SENT THIS ARE LIARS!? THEY SENT THE CERTIFICATE TO PROVE IT!" He grabbed the certificate from his uncle and shoved it to her face.
"JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE MAD DOES NOT GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO SHOVE PAPERS TO MY FACE!"
"JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE MAD ALSO DOES NOT GIVE YOU THE REASON TO WHIP PEOPLE AS YOU PLEASE!"
This made Yu Ziyuan go red "WHY YOU-YOU THINK I'M A WHORE!?"
"ISN'T THAT WHAT THE CERTIFICATE PROVES!? NOW TELL ME ARE YOU A SPY OF THE JIN SECT!?" Jiang Qiong yelled Out "SPY!? WHY WOULD I SPY FOR THAT DISGUSTING BASTARD!?" Yu Ziyuan yelled out.
"Of course why would you, you don't even know ow how to spy on people, that was too highly of me to think you could actually spy on people." Jiang Qiong tsked.
"FINE SO WHAT IF YOU'RE NOT A SPY, I HAVE NOT SEEN ANY DIVORCE CERTIFICATES FROM YOU BEING JIN GUANGSHAN'S CONCUBINE SO TELL ME
WHICH ONE OF MY KIDS IS JIN GUANGSHAN'S SPAWN!?"
