At 5 am Lan Wangji was wide awake and smiling as he went to the tub to get himself cleaned up 'Tomorrow is the day!' he thought to himself excited as he closed the book he was copying because he didn't want to lose some of the library texts when the Wens come running here to burn his home down.

'Now what would be the best impression to make when he enters Cloud Recesses

from the gate?' he thought to himself. 'Wink? No! too boooring! Mnnnn...should I say 'Hello beautiful'? No too common, and I'll sound like a creep! Second Jade of Lan? A creep? No please, I need to be the best version of myself!'

"Wangji."

Lan Xichen entered the Jingshi "Will you take over the night patrol tomorrow? You're last day in secluded meditation is tomorrow, if you don't mind."

Lan Wangji shook his head "Will do."

Lan Xichen then looked closer at his brother 'What the heck you looking too intensely at me for!?' Lan Wangji thought as Lan Xichen smiled teasingly.

"You look excited for tomorrow."

"Ah so you've noticed? Never would have thought.' Lan Wangii glared at him. "Is the supposed person you wanted to meet, probably one of the guest students?"

'Brother shouldn't ask questions he knows the answer to.' Lan Wangji did not answer him and just stared at the floor. "Why not tell your gege who caught your eye?" His older brother teased. 'Because you'll play Cupid and all that, I'll never understand why, and you'll know why and who soon enough.'

"Brother will know." was all he said making his brother sigh "Fine, since when did you keep secrets from me?" Lan Wangi raised his brow at the older.

"Wangji did not keep secrets, just felt like not telling."

Wei Wuxian drank some of emperor's smile This stuff is good!' He smiled to himself.

"I should bring some back for Jiang Cheng!" He smiled to himself before making his way back to Cloud Recesses.

As he entered the Ward and jumped on the roof he heard a deep voice which made him want to shudder.

"Past curfew, go back, come again at 7."

He turned and saw the most gorgeous man on earth.

'Waahhhhhh! Wei Ying! My love! You look soo prettyyyyy ahhh! I hope you find me gorgeous because I had put a lot of effort into this! Not like I need effort but still!'

Lan Wangji glared at Wei Wuxian to keep up the role play.

"Aww come on! I didn't know the rules! Surely you can make exceptions!" Wei Wuxian pouted.

"Turn around, look at the wall."

Wei Wuxian did and as he did last time, his mouth went wide "That's too many! How are you all even alive at this point!?"

Lan Wangji then said "Come, take punishment."

Wei Wuxian just looked at him in shock "Whaaat!?" Wei Wuxian quickly shook his head before holding out his emperor's smile.

"Here! I'll give you one and you'll pretend you never saw me."

"How about a kiss then I'll be sure to tell no one I saw you?"

Wei Wuxian could not believe what he just heard. 'Did this handsome man just- flirt!? Or am I hallucinating? Maybe I am! No- Wait! He's coming closer Wth!?'

Lan Wangji saw Wei Wuxian's cheeks turn red and he felt proud. He then made his

way closer towards the younger.

"I asked for a kiss darling." he pointed on his cheek "Or did you want to kiss me somewhere else?" He raised his eyebrow and leaned in closely but not too close.

'Ahhh so this was why you found it amusing to rile me up? I might enjoy this thank you very much!' He thought to himself as he saw Wei Wuxian all red and words couldn't come out of his mouth.

"Me?" He questioned leaning back and crossed his arms.

Wei Wuxian then smirked 'Should I be a bit more prepared?' Lan Wangji asked himself.

"I never knew there could be flirts here? With all these rules here I would have thought there were a bunch of walking fuddy duddy corpses."

'Apparently I was one of them'

"Well, you're not completely wrong, you'd be surprised to see what you find here." Lan Wangji replied.

"Little bunny, don't forget, my kiss on the cheek or punishment?" He brought it back and Wei Wuxian started sputtering.

"I never had My first kiss and now you want me to kiss your cheek?!" He squeaked out "Bunny, neither have I but the difference is that I want a kiss on the cheek, unless you want to kiss me

someplace else?"

"Well sweetheart you'll get used to it, just know that time is ticking, give me a kiss and no one hears about what happened tonight."

Wei Wuxian didn't know what to do but his survival instincts came first that he dropped the alcohol and ran away.

Lan Wangi stayed as he watched the male rush away 'This is hilarious!' He held back a laugh 'When was the last time l laughed?? I guess Wei Ying's definition of fun is quite fun itself!'

He then looked at the alcohol infront of him 'littering is forbidden' he thought as he pushed it outside Cloud Recesses perimeters'.

'I'm even jealous of you! Wei Ying's lips touched you but not me! Hmph!'

The next day Wei Wuxian was back to normal and was playing around with Jiang Cheng as Nie Huaisang was watching them.

"Isn't that Yunmeng's head disciple? What is he doing here?" One Nie disciple asked and Nie Huaisang answered "He was adopted by Sect leader Jiang and he and the Jiang heir are close like brothers." the disciples nodded in understanding.

"Wei-xiong! Jiang-xiong!" Nie Huaisang called out.

"It's too early." Wei Wuxian groaned "What? It's 8 am Wei-xiong? People here get up at 5 am and sleep at 9, what time do you even sleep?"

Wei Wuxian's eyes budged out "5!? I Might as well jump off a cliff!"

Jiang Cheng smacked his brother's ribs "This idiot sleeps at 1 and rises at 9, he spends all his time hunting pheasants, really lazy if you ask me."

Wei Wuxian rubbed his chest where Jiang Cheng hit him, his back still hurts from the Zidian but here his brother is, calling him lazy. 'Lazy? I'll have you know that it's just for show! You don't even know what I do at night! Training! I train during the night!'

"Woahh! I wanna study in Yunmeng next year and no one's going to stop me!" Nie Huaisang said breaking Wei Wuxian out of his thoughts.

"No one's going to stop you but your brother will just break your legs." Nie Huaisang pouted as he heard one Nie disciple say that.

"Anyway. Wei-xiong there's one person you must avoid at all times here." Nie Huaisang warned.

"Who? Old goat Qiren?"

"Show some respect!" Jiang Cheng lightly punched Wei Wuxian's side.

'Jiang Cheng can't you torture me after I'm healed!?'

"No not him! But his prized nephew Lan Zhan courtesy Wangji." Nie Huaisang clarified.

"Who?" Wei Wuxian asked confused.

"He's a sticker for rules, really stoic and got none of the energy of a normal teen. but he's the 2nd most elected bachelor of our generation" Nie Huaisang said as they make their way towards the orchid room.

"He sounds like a fuddy duddy" Wei Wuxian said before they heard someone walking behind them which made them turn around.

"Punishment at the Library Pavillion, copy the rules 50 times for breaking in and

smuggling alcohol."

Lan Wangji knows eavesdropping is forbidden so he calls this accidentally walking by while reading his book.

'Nie Huaisang. We've became friends and all that after I told you I came from the future because well...yeah but l never gave you permission to call me my birthname especially after that day you

made me watch your punishment instead of me going to nighthunts.'

He then heard Wei Wuxian call him a fuddy duddy 'Wei Ying! It's Me! The one who flirted with you yesterday! And you call me a fuddy duddy 😭'

He then decided to follow them from behind and they heard him and he could see Wei Ying's face turn slightly pink.

'Such a lovely color'

He then faced Wei ring and said "Punishment at the Library Pavillion, copy

the rules 50 times for breaking in and smuggling alcohol."

Wei Wuxian pointed at him "You-"

"Lan-er-gongzi, I apologize for my brother's behavior. I'll be sure he'll take his punishment properly." Jiang Cheng said as he grabbed the other's arm tightly which made Jiang Cheng frown, he should talk to Huaisang about this later.

"Not a problem." he said and Wei Wuxian looked at him in betrayal.

"You said you wouldn't tell anyone!" He squeaked out which surprised the two. "You met him? Since when? Last night?"

'Jiang Wangin, I literally just said that he is punished for what he did last night,

obviously we met!'

Jiang Cheng was ignored as Lan Wangji walked towards Wei Wuxian.

"Bunny, I told you, give me a kiss on the cheek and I won't tell a soul, but you didn't so I had to give you your respectable punishment, meet me at the Library later after class." he winked and left the three there dumbstruck.

"What the fuck just happened!?"Jiang Cheng asked before he turned and faced Wei Wuxian "What did you do!?" He hissed "I'm wounded you think I did something but I swear! I didn't do anything! I snuck in he caught me and then he started flirting with me!"

Jiang Cheng didn't believe him but Nie Huaisang decided to speak "I have never heard the second Jade of Lan talk that much before, Wei-xiong. he's got his eyes on you." Nie Huaisang winked.

'This is going to be a fun year! Xichen-ge might want to hear about this!' he made a mental note to remember to go to him later and tell him the tea he just got.

'Ah Wangii-xiong, so this is the one you wanted to meet? Don't worry I'll get whatever information you want just don't kill me.'

Lan Wangi was basically glowing at meeting Wei Ying again but he just didn't like that Jiang Wanyin and he has a bad feeling about it.

He also noticed how Wei Wuxian winced a bit at the contact 'Thank goodness I studied human psychology, it's going to be put on good use.' he thought to himself.

He saw how Wei Wuxian's smiled had stiffened when the younger Jiang had gripped his arm.

'Wei Ying, what happened that I didn't notice before?'
