"All you have to do is try to make me leave this spot. Any questions?"

"Nope~" Valerian replied.

"Nope~" Violet replied.

"Okay." Wisteria nodded, "Then, let's begin!"

The sisters gave each other a glance and snickered mischievously. They drew their hands towards each other and held them tightly, and without warning, a swarm of rats emerged from all sides.

"I knew it." Wisteria laughed inwardly.

Violet and Valerian watched expectantly. However, as the thousands of small critters approached him, Wisteria remained calm and allowed the swarm of mice to engulf him.

"Why isn't he moving!?" Valerian exclaimed.

"Maybe he froze?" Violet replied. "Let's push him off!"

Still holding hands, they ran towards Wisteria who became the base a rat pillar, and used all of their physical strength in attempts to tumble it down.

"He isn't budging..."

"Should we make the rats bigger?"

"But I'm running out of Mana..."

"Me too..."

"..."

Valerian and Violet took a few steps back and let go of their hands. At the same time, the swarm of rats disappeared in a blink of an eye.

Wisteria stood still, unperturbed. He returned their tired stares with a warm smile, "Good job, you two! Your illusions were fascinating!"

The twin's magic was Illusion Manifestation. They could create large-scale illusions which affected all five senses. In other words, the rodents that engulfed him were not real, but he could touch, hear, smell, and even taste them. If such spell was used on someone else, it could have caused severe trauma.

"You lied to us." Violet protested, "You said you were afraid of rats!"

"I didn't lie, I asked whether rats and mice were a good example to your question."

"You..." Violet turned and whispered to her sister, "He did?"

"I think he did." Valerian admitted.

They sighed.

"And before we start talking about our focus points for the curriculum, could I take a look at your Mana." He asked.

They gladly stretched out their palms and placed them next to each others, proudly creating a large Mana sphere.

"Could I see them separately?" He added.

This time, the sisters gave each other a reluctant glance and separated their hands. The large sphere of Mana quickly became two small spheres on each palm.

As he expected, although they were exceptionally strong together, they relied too much on each other's Mana.

"Thank you." He added, "I see that you two share your Mana very often."

"Yeah, we always work together."

"That's great! I could see you have great teamwork!" Wisteria complimented.

They smiled at each other.

"Have you two tried to work individually?"

"We don't wanna." They replied simultaneously.

"Alright." He smiled brightly, "Then, for this class, I will have you focus on creating illusions on your own. Separately."

"But we just said we didn't want to!" Valerian responded.

"You meanie!" Violet added.

"I understand that it is not something you're used to. But I want to help you step outside of your comfort zone and try something new. I know you two have the potential to grow even stronger! And it will only be temporarily. Eventually, I will let you work together again."

They glanced at each other, as in agreement. "Okay..."

"Thank you for your understanding." He smiled.

Seeing Wisteria's smile, they couldn't help but smile back, giving in.

After Violet and Valerian left, it was Fleur's turn.

The moment she entered the testing side of the stadium, she already looked defeated.

"What's happened?" Wisteria quickly inquired.

Fleur forced a smile, "I, uh, couldn't emit any Mana this whole time. I'm sorry."

"Oh, that's fine!" Wisteria responded, feeling awfully apologetic. "My instructions weren't clear again... It's perfectly fine if you weren't able to do so."

She forced a smile again, "Alright."

"..."

Watching the disheartened Fleur pained him. He didn't mean to discourage the protagonist on her very first day of class...

"L-let's check your Mana, first." He changed the topic, "Could you show me your palm?"

"But, I can't..."

"That's alright!" He reassured, "There's a way to check without needing the person to emit it. Though, is it alright if I force it out?"

"Yes, that's fine."

"Thank you."

Having heard her response, he placed his palm above hers, leaving only a small gap in between. Using his own Mana, he pulled onto hers like a magnet until enough was pulled into a rotating sphere.

"Amazing!" Wisteria commented, watching the pure white sphere above her hand. The sphere was of average size, but the clarity of the Mana was beautiful. Even his own wasn't that clear. As expected of the protagonist!

"Is that really my Mana?" Fleur asked.

"That's right!" He replied excitedly, "It's very strong, Fleur!"

"Is it?" Fleur watched the sphere intently, protectively.

Wisteria nodded.

The sphere's rotation slowly stopped and sunk back into her palm. Fleur also seemed to have gained some of her confidence back, making Wisteria sigh in relief.

"That will be all for your assessment."

"Alright..." Fleur nodded.

"And there's no need to rush. Since you're still in the early stages, I will have you focus on getting used to your Mana. Once we are able to reach a certain level, we'll be able to move on to your specific attribute--- Healing. How does that sound?"

"That sounds good." She nodded again, now looking excited.

"Is there any other areas you would like to learn about?"

"I heard that one doesn't need Mana to use runes, so I was wondering if you could help me with the basics."

"Oh, I don't think I can help much with that..." He scratched the back of his head, slightly embarrassed. "I'm actually really bad with runes. Yesterday, I almost injure myself by writing the wrong runes, haha..."

"Oh! I'm so sorry... I know this class was Mana-based, but I went ahead and assumed. I'm so sorry!"

"You don't have to apologize. Thank you for thinking so greatly of me." He waved his hand, "Besides, I'm quite comfortable with the fact that I don't understand runes! It's like one of those fun facts people will eventually get to learn about me!"

"I see." Fleur smiled warmly, "Thank you for saying that."

"Of course." He returned the smile, "But do let me know if you have any other questions besides runes! I'll do my best to help you."

"Alright."

Calling an end to the assessment, Wisteria waved his hand and the wall of Mana disappeared. His eyes were quickly draw to the blurred image of Lupin going back and forth the stadium, battling against all four Wisteria-dummies at the same time!

"Lupin!" Worried that he was being picked on again, Wisteria ran a few steps forward.

"It's okay, Wisteria." Fleur said, calmly. "Take a look at his face."

His feet came to a stop and did as instructed, focusing on the blurry images of Lupin.

He was smiling.

Turns out that, while Admon, Violet, and Valerian took a break, Lupin decided to confront all dummies at once. Since the dummies were able to analyze his magic attributes, each dummy spewed projectiles of fire, water, rocks, and air. Lupin had the ability to infuse elemental magic into his sword, which made him extremely versatile to a wide variety of opponents.

Furthermore, Lupin actually heeded his instructions to have fun, and was having the time of his life fighting the group of Wisteria-dummies. This made Wisteria feel very proud of the second male lead he had always stanned for.

As the first day of extracurricular classes came to an end, Wisteria inevitably thought of the Necromancer and their upcoming agreement...

"I'll ask if he's busy on the weekend..." He thought. "I hope he is..."
