, you said as you handed out flyers to the students.
You looked up and the smile that you wore suddenly fell when you spotted a group of people coming towards your direction. It was your rival party list, they were also wandering around the corridors and giving out flyers to the students along the way.
At first you couldn't quite tell who was the head of the party list or in other words, the one running for president which, the position you wanted too. But once you caught a glimpse of that oh-so-familiar fluffy brown hair, pale skin and doe eyes made you froze on your spot.
, the name rolled off your tongue on their own.
Watching how she made her way stand in front of you, now finally coming face to face as you glared at each other with pure hatred. , she spat your name with pure venom.
Your fist tightened on your sides as you looked into each other's eyes, the tension rising between the two of you in the middle of the corridor. You were intensely staring at their eyes before it landed on their lips, you were so close now and it was starting to make you feel sort of things that you couldn't quite put a finger on.
It had been a week since stare off with Lee Nayeon, a lot had happen during that week including the voting for the student council. Now all you had to do was wait for them to reveal the results, to the point that you couldn't focus on the lectures due to you being excited.
After what felt like a decade, it was finally break time and the professor dismissed the class. You already bolted outside the classroom and made your way to the bulletin board. You sighed for not being quick enough because there was already a crowd of students before you arrived.

But thankfully they gave way for their future president which is yourself, you stepped forward with your arms crossed over your chest as your gaze landed on the bold letters that says the results for the student council election. The smirk on your face turned into a frown, your excitement turned into disappointment when you saw the results.
, you someone says and was about to pat your shoulder but you dodged her hand away from you. You scoffed, , Nayeon added, specifying the word vice president to your face.
, I spat at them, my fist clenching on my sides.
She casually shrugged their shoulders, , Lee Nayeon whispered with a smirk and extended their hand for you to shake but you just ignored it, making her frown.
You brushed past her, bumping her shoulder with yours in purpose. , your bestfriend popped up beside you as she patted your back.
, you answered her, making it loud enough in purpose so Nayeon would be able to hear it.
, you heard her scream.
You looked over your shoulder, , you told her.
, Nayeon exclaimed, the nickname she just used made your blood boil and make your cheeks flush red at the same time.
It was somewhere between blushing from embarrassment and blushing because of how flustered you were, that moment hit you like a truck. You were hit with the realization that you may have fallen for the very same person you were competing with since you were a kid.

Magikind
Disclaimer: This is a low-fantasy, soft-sci-fi genre. In fact, it's a variety of genres, so don't be too put off by the tags Through several centuries of selective breeding, these beings, known as mages, have become part of the very foundations of society. However, some humans refused to change or adapt along with them. They believed in purity and refused to interbreed with magikind. Known as the manush, they were a rarity among society. Now, in the fifth millennia, the manush are thought to be extinct. With magikind ruling the world, a three-way war grips society between Eurasia, Afro-Australian Alliance and The Americas. In these uncertain times, a manush called Gin enters the Eurasian army. From there, our journey unfolds. A story of how mankind could realistically evolve while still pushing boundaries. PS. I am also posting here: Creative Novels so don't worry, I'm not being stolen from. PSS. A Fate Shaped by Magick
This fiction was (and is) published on fanfiction dot net under the same title; though as I slowly transfer it to here, I am editing and smoothing it. This story takes place in the Elder Scrolls (TES) Universe mostly ending up in Morrowind. This is a slice of life meant to answer the questions of how (in the TES universe) do mages study and learn, and exploring some of the in-game differences between TES 2 and 3. This book has minimal spoilers for the Morrowind main quest and does not fully explore it. If you think that giant insects would make cool pets - if you like the idea of exploring magic NOT intended simply as killing something better, faster or more gore-ridden, then come on in and enjoy.
