Hello, welcome to The Strangest of Love Stories' first book: Everything I Broke.

Note: I want to thank my editor, who doesn't want to be named. Thank you dear editor and friend.

Now, a few basic things to remember while reading this:

•While the book's main category is teen fiction and romance, it has humour that might be too much for some people. If you are not comfortable with that or think it will trigger you do NOT read. However, that doesn't mean it will have racist, homophobic or sexist jokes, and of course not slurs, though it will have a lot of swearing. It shouldn't need to be said, but racism, homophobia, sexism or any kind of discrimination is not humour.

•This story has homosexual relationships. If you are homophobic then, I don't know, get over it? We are in 2020 last time I checked.

•Everything in the story is happening in South Africa. I have never been there, and while I have done my research, I can't promise that everything will be accurate.

•Towns referred in the story are real. However, names of shops or schools will be fake because I don't want to create a fake image (I am still in a huge dilemma about whether I should mention a restaurant in Cape Town called The Village Idiot or not. Thank you google maps for this completely useless piece of information).

•I am just writing facts, characters' beliefs are not my beliefs as well. Again, I don't like that I need to say that, but if a character says something racist, for example, it's not something I believe as well.

•I am not black or brown, I am a white person in a white country. I haven't experienced racism, and I obviously don't know about racism in a a country with a majority of black people. I am doing my best though and accept criticism.

•If you want to criticize, you can, just be polite. I am pretty sure it's not that hard. You can be rude about everything, but not about my mistakes.
