Resurgent is the story of a man by the name of Marcus Diamandis and he begins his journey in an unexpected location, the skies. On the day of Armageddon, or later commonly referred to as Integration, Marcus begins his fall that hopefully preludes an eventual rise to greatness. Humanity has become stagnant in its ideals, no one quite knows what would happen if it were forced to change. Will not include any Harem elements whatsoever. This story is my first posted attempt at writing an episodic piece of literature and constructive criticism is always welcomed. The New World and The Legend of Randidly Ghosthound heavily inspired me so if you haven't read them please go give them a read!

A very powerful demoness by the nickname Amethyst has been causing chaos and destruction for over 1000 years, except over the last couple hundred years, she's become rather bored and hasn't really done much out in the world. Until one day, encouraged by a friend, she heads out once again to wreak havoc on the world only to run across a half-elf half devil child. Not having been in the situation before, she decides to take the child and raise it herself. Diguising herself as a devil as well, Amethyst goes to a nearby human city with the child to raise it in a more "suitable" environment. Follow along Amethyst and her "adopted" child as they adapt to changing fantasy world with advancing technology, a diverse range of beings like elves and arachne, and the destructive power of monsters and other demons. And of course, they can't just be left to their own devices cause the world is set to turn into an intolerable hellscape if no one does anything about it. Not even Amethyst wants that to happen. *Author's note: this story is a work in progress meaning chapters may get deleted, editing will happen, and chapter releases will be irregular as I'm doing this just for fun. Plus this is my first time working on this sort of thing. So if you're ok with all of that, read along. Of course, comments and feedback are always welcome. Update 7 June 22: Life has been busy with family and work so this is a very slow updating story, for which I apologize (I like to read too).

Robin Murray has a lot on his plate. He's the odd man out at his high school; Homeschooled most of his life due to his poor health, he finally talked his parents into allowing him to attend school as a freshman... But things begin to spiral out of control when he wakes up to the reality that his parents are missing and... Monsters are hiding as humans? Turns out his P.E teacher is a troll, the local librarian is a literal harpy, and Medusa owns the most popular bar in town. Oh, and the girl he's been crushing on since he was like- six, isn't exactly human either. Robin must delve into the mysteries surrounding his town if he wants any hope of finding his missing parents. And to do that without suffering a fate worse than death, he'll need to personally enter the game worlds to level up and acquire new abilities. FPS, RPG, Strategy, they'll all help him in one way or another- there's just one catch. He only gets one life both inside and outside the game world, a single death will spell the end of Robin's Quest. It's time for a Gamer to take on The World.
