"Are you sure it's okay for me to live with you and Rachel?" I ask as I wheel into Christen's apartment in Utah.
I have to use a wheel chair since I can't walk without help.
"Yes Anna." Christen says as she pulls my bags into the apartment. "I wouldn't have asked if both of us weren't okay with it."
"Okay." I mumble as I follow my girlfriend to her room.
Christen un packs my stuff while I sit in the stupid wheel chair.
"Stupid wheelchair." I mumble.
"Baba stop." Christen says then she sits down in my lap.
"I hate this." I say.
"I know you do, but it's not temporary." Christen says. "And I know you hate people doing things for you, but I need you to let me help you."
"Fine." I mumble.
"Thank you." Christen says then she stands up and gathers clothes for me. "Now we need to get you dressed because your appointment is in an hour."
"Fine." I mumble and hold my hands out to my girlfriend then she pulls me to my feet.
I hold onto to my girlfriend as she undresses me then she dresses me in some workout clothes. After I'm dressed Christen sits me back down in the wheelchair before she gathers our things then we leave the apartment and head to the rehab place. When we get to the rehab place I roll into the place, but stop when I hear multiple voices.
"I thought you said it was going to be us two and the rehab chick that were here." I say and look up at Christen.
"I thought it was." Christen says then she pushes me further into the rehab place. "What are you guys doing here?"

"Thought you could use some company." Kelley says.
"Kelley thought you could use some company." Becky clarifies. "Amy and I came to control Kelley."
"Okay?" Christen says and looks at me.
"You ready Anna?" The rehab lady, Jenny, says
"What are we doing?" I ask.
"I'm gonna put you in the pool and see how well you do with walking on the treadmill." Jenny says.
"By myself?"
"You'll be hooked up to a harness and Christen and I will be sitting on the side of the pool."
"Okay." I mumble as Christen rolls me to the pool area.
When we get to the pool area Jenny and Christen stand me up then they help me into some weird harness thing. Once I'm in the harness thing I get into the pool, get on the treadmill then start walking.
"How long do I have to do this?" I ask.
"Go until you get tired." Jenny says causing me to sigh then look at my girlfriend.
"Can I see my phone?" I ask.
Christen nods and hands me my phone then I text my girlfriend.
Me: Why did Kelley think it would be a good idea to be here?
Christen💚: I have no idea.
Christen💚: Do you want them to leave?
Me: No.
Me: I don't wanna seem rude.
"How do your legs feel?" Jenny asks.
"They feel okay...A little heavy actually."
"Alright let's stop there for the day."

"Just a couple more minutes Anna." Jenny says as Christen holds my hands while I walk in the water.
"It hurts." I say through gritted teeth causing Christen to sigh.
"Okay were done for the day." Christen says and stops the treadmill.

My girlfriend helps me to the side of the pool then she moves the wheel chair to the side of the pool. I pull myself out of the pool then I pull myself into the wheelchair.
"Stupid fucking wheel chair." I mumble as I notice my girlfriend talking to Jenny.
I've been doing rehab for a month and I still can't walk.
All I've been doing is walking on this stupid treadmill in the pool so it's safe to say I don't think Jenny knows what the fuck she's doing...and I think Christen thinks the same as me.
"Let's go." Christen says and starts pushing me out of the rehab place and to the car.
When we get to the car Christen helps me in the car then she puts the wheel chair in the trunk before she gets in the car.
"Does she know what she's doing?" I ask. "Cause I've been doing the same damn thing for a month and I still can't walk. I mean what the actual fuck is she doing?"
"I don't know Anna." Christen says.
"I'm about ready to do this on my own." I angrily say
"Let's get Dawn's opinion on what to do first."
"This sucks." I mumble as Christen pulls out of the rehab place.
Christen doesn't really know what to say so she grabs my hand and intertwines our hands. The whole drive back to the apartment is very quiet and when we get to the apartment Christen helps me out of the car and into the wheel chair then she wheels me up to the apartment. Once in the apartment we go to Christen's room then my girlfriend runs a bath as I sit on the bed.
A minute later Christen comes out of the bathroom and helps me undress then she helps me into the warm bath. After I'm in the bath, my girlfriend undresses then she gets in the bath with me and rests her back on my front.
"Were you serious?" Christen asks as she plays with my fingers.
"Serious about what?"
"Doing your rehab on your own." Christen says.
"Yes."
"So are you going to leave America and go back to Britain?"
"No Christen."
"But..."
"I meant that I want to find a gym here and do my rehab because that woman knows fuck all about rehab." I clarify.
"Calm down Baba." Christen says and rests my hands on her abs.
"And I really want all this to finish so we can have some fun." I mumble.
"I mean you could let me be in control."
"That's an option?" I question.
"Mhmm."
"The fuck we doin in the bath then?"
"Chill Anna." Christen says then she turns around in my arms.
"Didn't know that was an option." I mumble. "So not fair."
"Come on Baba." Christen says and pecks my lips. "Let's wash up so we ca pack for camp."

Lineage Saga (Kingdom Building Fantasy)
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] The continent of Erdenia is in flux, nations large and small move to swallow their neighbors. Roving bands of marauders pillage the countryside, and the seas are choked with piracy. Against this backdrop upon the central island of Syroneika exists the Mercan League, an alliance of city states ruled by the Archon from his seat in the Capital, Merlabria. Yet all is not well beneath the surface. The Archon’s health is waning, while the House of Mercan appears on the verge of conflict. Both princes vie for the Archonship, with the aristocracy close behind looking to settle old scores. In the immediate west the Althai Federation is in a state of civil war, the conflict spilling over the border into the League, while nobles’ squabble over petty slights. In this time of growing conflict, the Archon has summoned the warlord of the southern frontier, bulwark against the horrors of the dark forest, and former Grand Scholar of the court. Behind the scenes pieces are in play, and the Scholar possesses numerous enemies, many still envious of his meteoric rise to power. A simple trip to the capital may be more than it appears. However, the branches of fate are fickle things, a single encounter could change the course of history. Or perhaps that is simply the will of fate, and nothing has changed at all, who could know? Could the meeting between a simple slave and a warlord truly be fate’s bough? And if so, where could that lead? The Lady's Handbook of Intrigue and Murder (High Fantasy Politics)
Summary:The daughter of a dying house is summoned to the Imperial City to meet and perhaps marry a handsome prince. It sounds like a fairy tale. Except Mydea doesn’t have the advantage of a half-forgotten childhood encounter, supreme magic to match the highest echelons of society, or even the privilege of an ally. In order to survive and make a name for herself, she must beat the Imperial Court at its own game. At least no one's tried to kill her—yet. Notes: Basically, if you liked the magic of Harry Potter and the politics of Game of Thrones, you'll probably like this. While the first book focuses on the female lead, and the interplay of competing regional and imperial interests, subsequent books will also cover warfare and how I imagine that differs wildly from historical norms with the introductions of a magical aristocracy.
