"You ready to go Princess?" Christen asks.
"You are so lucky I love you." I say and bring my girlfriend into my arms.
"Yes I am." Christen says then she softly kisses me. "But really are you ready to go?"
"Yep." I say.
The two of us grab our things then we get into Christen's car and head to her family's house.
"Who all's gonna be there?"
"A bunch of extended family." Christen says as I play with the fingers on her free hand.
"Cool." I say.
"You'll be fine." My girlfriend says as we pull up to her family's house. "Just like I told you before, they'll love you almost as much as I love you."
"Okay." I say.
The two of us get out of the car then we walk up to the front door where Christen rings the doorbell.
"Hey Sis." Tyler says then she hugs Christen.
"Hi." Christen says.
"Hi Anna." Tyler says then she hugs me.
"Hello." I say.
The three of us walk into the house and head to the kitchen.
"Hey Anna." Channing says as she hugs me.
"Hello." I say.
"FOOD'S READY." Cody says.
The little kids in the family get their food first then Christen and I get our food along with the rest of the women. My girlfriend and I sit down at the adult table and start eating.
"How is it?" Christen asks.
"I'm going to need to learn how to make this." I say.
"Which thing?"
"Everything." I say making Christen giggle. "You know your giggle is my favorite sound in the world."
"Aww." Channing says.
"So Anna." Someone says causing me to look towards the voice. "How'd you meet Christen?"

"I ran the HALO Cup and I was looking for her coach to talk about their hotel and some other things. I got lost looking for her room and Christen helped me find the coach's room, I then asked for Christen's number and then I asked her to dinner, and well here we are."
"So do you live in LA?" One of Christen's aunts asks.
"I live in London." I say.
"London?" The same aunt asks and looks at Christen who is typing on her phone.
"Anna's full name is Princess Annabeth Sophia Amelia Grace." Christen says then shows the aunt her phone.
"You're a princess?" One of Christen's little cousins asks.
"I am." I say and smile at the little girl.
"That's so cool."
"You don't seem like a typical royal." Someone says.
I hate that saying.
What is a typical royal?
"Yeah...Anna's not the stereotypical royal." Christen says.
"What do you mean?" One of Christen's Aunts asks.
"Well I have my own personal Twitter and Instagram, um I actually have a job...." I say.
"Where do you work?"
"I work with the HALO Trust."
"And what do you do?" One of Christen's other aunts asks.
"Anna destroys land mines." Christen blurts out.
"I deactivate them." I correct.
"Woah."
"Yeah..."
"That sounds.......dangerous." Cody says.
"So you personally deactivate them?" Tyler asks.
"I don't consistently personally deactivate them since all I really do is train the locals, but I will deactivate a couple each trip so I can keep my skills fresh."
"Woah."
"Where all do you work?" Channing asks.
"All around the world." I say then think about my schedule. "My next trip is to Afghanistan."

"Really?" Christen asks.
"Don't worry." I say and squeeze her hand. "We have armed protection following us."
"Who?"
"The US Military." I say.
"Oh." Christen says and breathes a sigh of relief.
"So what else do you do as a royal?" Tyler asks.
"Well I work with National AIDS Trust, Children with Cancer UK, Heads together, and I help my brother with the Invictus Games."
"How do you have time to come over here to see Christen?" One of Christen's aunts asks.
"All of the charities I work with have connections over here so I always ask to be sent over here when we have things we need to do. I've also been cutting down my time I'm working the past few years so now I can come see Christen whenever I want or whenever she needs me." I say.
"Alright." Christen says. "We can play 20 questions later. Right now we need to eat before the food gets cold."
Everyone eats their food and once I'm done I take mine and Christen's plate to the dishwasher then I help clean up the kitchen.
After the dishes are done Christen leads me into the living room and sits me down in a recliner. My girlfriend lays on top of me then she reclines the chair so we're sort of laying down.
"Tired My Love?" I ask.
"Mhmm." Christen sleepily says as I play with her hair. "Ate too much."
"Go to sleep beautiful." I say then kiss my girlfriend's head. "I'll be here when you wake up."
"Love you." Christen mumbles
"I love you Princess." I say and wrap my arms around my girl. "So so much."
Christen swiftly falls asleep and I play with her hair while watching some American Football game.
American football is weird...and kind off boring. There's way too many stoppages in play.
As I watch the game for a little longer I slowly fall asleep.
I sleep for what feels like two minutes, but I wake up because I feel Christen moving in my arms.
"mhmm...Christen?" I sleepily question.
"I'm still here Baba." Christen says then she kisses my nose. "Have a nice nap?"
"Felt like two minutes, but yeah it was nice."
"Well we slept for three hours."
"Oh...you know you're really pretty."
"You just woke up and you're already flirting with me." Christen says with a smile while blushing. "How?"
"Well you're really cute when you blush so I'm gonna do whatever it takes to make you blush." I say.
"Aww." Tyler says. "How cute."
Christen playfully rolls her eyes then she sticks her tongue out at her sister.
"Christen?"
"Yes Baba?" Christen says and looks at me.
"Would you like to spend Christmas with me?"

Outlook: The Stars (Consciousness Unbound Book 1)
The year is 2152. Rune Yahui is a nineteen-year-old failure, not having gained entrance to college or the military, with no significant prospects in life. Even worse, Rune is the poorest of the poor, hailing from the mega-slums of New Southern Chicago, the lowest pit of America. In a desperate last-ditch attempt to gain a future more lustrous than toiling the rest of his days away in abhorrent conditions in one of the near sweat-shop level factories that dot the megapolis, Rune signs up for the Virtual Citizen program, a program to cull the excessive world population by transferring just their brains into a video game. In a stroke of rare luck, Rune is admitted into the program and happily submits himself to the surgery and digitization process. Unfortunately for him, he wakes up several hundred years later than he expected... or does he? **Author's Note** This isn't a type of story typical to RRL. You may have noticed LitRPG in the tags, but it's a relatively minor element in the story until later. You may also notice Slice of Life is in the tags. This story is going to be slow and there won't be any power tripping until way later if at all. The focus will be on character development. That doesn't mean I won't still have action/excitement, however. I encourage you to give the story a try. Maybe it will be your thing, maybe it won't. Thanks for even taking the time to read this, and if you do give my fiction a try, I hope you enjoy it. If you don't, well, I hope you find something that you do enjoy. Happy reading!

Someone Like Adam
"You know, it won't physically hurt you to be nice for once." I crossed my arms in front of my chest and groaned. "I don't want to take a chance." the corner of his lips lifted a little as he finished his sentence. "Well, you don't hear me complaining. The view of a someone so desperately working out is not a delight either." I retorted in a weary voice. "I bet it isn't." he narrowed his eyes at me and commented. Ugh.. Why is he so damn annoying? "You know what, just take your arrogant ass out of my room." I scowled at him, pointing towards the door. With small steps, he walked towards me. I took a step backwards when he neared me. He was invading my personal space, making me a bit flustered. The urge to push back his golden-brown hair covering his forehead was increasing with every passing second. "Gladly." he mumbled against my face and then walked past me out of my room. It took me a minute to calm down my racing heartbeat. ... He was a mystery, an enigma I wanted to solve. He was exhausting, he was infuriating, yet staying away from him was not an option. He was making me feel things I haven't felt before. Adam McArdle! Who are you and what are you doing to my poor little heart?...#1 in GENERAL FICTION (23-05-2019)#1 in CHICKLIT (21-07-2019)
