《BRUINS 3》5

Julie smiles.
If it wasn't for Olivia being by her side, her life would be a lot more complicated. Her sister indeed is a true sunshine, and brings her so much goofiness and fake stupidity that it is almost hard not to laugh.
Their relationship has grown the past months, as Julie brought Olivia back home to make her meet her biological parents. After apologizing for giving her up at birth, they had a deep talk and now have agreed on helping her pay the college bills. As Olivia is going through the procedures to have the American passport as well so that she doesn't need a visa and can stay in the U.S. to finish her studies, the two sisters have bounded.
Right now, they're at a cafe on the UCLA campus, all smiles.
"So" Julie lets out, taking another sip. "How is Kelsey ?"
Olivia blushes, but then smile.
"She's doing great. She likes Washington so far, and her teammates are pretty chill. I'm going to visit her pretty soon actually."
"I'm happy for you guys"
The Swede smiles at her sister, before asking :
"What about you ?"
"What about me ?" Julie asks back, raising her eyebrow. As Olivia is giving her the classic 'you know who I am talking about' look, she sighs. There is no way out of that conversation, and even though Julie doesn't really like talking about her sentimental life, she says : "Oh, if you mean Kop, then we're still not a thing."
Olivia frowns.
"But you visited her in Seattle and spent an entire week at her loft" the blonde points out, quite teasing her sister. "And you tell me you guys still aren't a thing ? Are you kidding ?"
Julie sighs again.
"It's not like that... I told her I wasn't ready for a relationship, so we're just spending some time together, enjoying it, and then nothing. No attaches."

"But you are attached, aren't you ?" Olivia insists.
"I love her, so yeah, you can say that." Julie says, honest, before shaking her head : the only thought of the goalie is giving her butterflies in the stomach. "But it doesn't matter : we're not in the same place in our lives right now."
Her sister only lets a small 'okay' out, before getting lost in her thoughts. Just when Julie thought Olivia was done asking her questions about the goalie, the Swede lifts her head again and asks :
"How did she react when she heard about Solo's escape ?"
Julie smirks.
"Not well. I've never seen her so angry and worried in the same time. She even proposed on coming here more often."
"That's cute" Olivia insists. "Kelsey just was like 'if I see that bitch, I'll kill her'. And even her tone was chill when she said that."
"That's so her" Julie comments.
As the conversation is heading somewhere else, the two girls are disturbed by two cops heading their way. Oh hell no, not again, Julie thinks to herself removing her sunglasses. Olivia does the same, as a police officer show the girls his badge.
FBI.
Julie doesn't even have to ask herself about what those two cops are here for : Hope Solo. She sighs, before one of them says :
"Mrs Johnston and Schough ?"
"That's us" Olivia confirms.
The two cops exchange a look.
"We have to ask you to come with us" the other one says in a very serious tone. "We have some questions about your family, and also some concern about your and your teammates' safety. Cooperate, and we'll leave you be in less than three hours, with maybe a solution to keep your safe."
"A solution ?" Julie repeats, fed up.

But when Olivia puts her hand on her forearm, she calms down. The Swede then looks up at the policemen, before saying :
"Fine, we're coming."

Today, training was intense, but overall the team gave a good performance.
Kristie, as the good captain she is, is clapping her teammates' hands one by one, congratulating them for their work. When she spots Kassey though, she chooses to ignore her and get away from her. The newly-arrived catches that, but doesn't say anything.
Of course Kristie feels bad about what happened the day before : she still doesn't know why she was so both verbally and physically violent toward the girl, but this sudden hate is still here, and she doesn't want to get in trouble.
But when Kristie has her back turned on everybody - her teammates are walking toward the locker room to shower and then have team dinner - she feels a presence next to her. She rolls her eyes, before turning around.
"Wasn't I clear enough last time, Kallman ?"
Here you are, being a bitch again. Weren't you supposed to apologize to her because you feel bad or something ? Kristie stands still, setting her jaw, as Kassey is now smirking. She has her usual bun on, and a mysterious smile on her lips.
When Kristie throws her deadly look at her, the middy says :
"You know what?" Kassey starts, quite angry, but keeping her calm and composure with a chill tone. "I though it'd be nice of someone to actually ask you how you are doing at the moment, but since you're such a bitch, I'll just leave you be."
"Yeah, do that."
Kassey shakes her head.
"Fine, big boss. Looks like being a captain has gotten over your head." she spills to Kristie's face, not even impressed. She might be the only person to have the balls to talk to her this way, except for Julie. Her confidence is even intimidating for Kristie. "That's too bad : I've heard great things about you."
The blonde smirks.
"Well, people talk bullshit, everybody know that." Kristie lets out, not impressed the slightest. She then gives Kassey a despising look. before saying : "What happened to you leaving me be then ?"
Kassey raises her hands in the air.
"Okay, boss, I'm out. Is there anything else you want before I leave, your Majesty ?" she sarcastically lets out in her best British accent.
"Yeah, now that you mention it, there is" Kristie says, boiling in the inside.
She is hot.
That only thought is enough to make Kristie even angrier. Without thinking much, and under the angry impulsion, she grabs Kassey's jersey and pulls her closer. While their heads are pretty close to each other, Kristie hisses :
"You better keep your mouth shut, got it ?"
"Sure" Kassey lets out, pushing Kristie away slightly, an huge smirk on her face. For a reputed peaceful and friendly girl, she surely is either of that right now, Kristie thinks to herself, quite impressed. What a bitch. "It would be a shame if those girls found out that their beloved captain is a control freak."
With that said, Kassey walks away. Kristie looks at her until she disappears, confused by their encounter.
What a bitch, she repeats to herself.

Mal smirks.
She starts typing :
The responses comes almost immediately :
If any of Mal's friends would see the huge smile on her face at the moment, and the excitement following it, they'd totally tease her about this. The dark-haired reads about their rendez-vous spot, way too exited.
Maybe I'll have the chance to push her off the boat, who knows ?

Three Hundred Years After The End Of The World
Three hundred years after the end of the world as humanity knew it, the gears of an old plan slowly begin to move again, as a group of self-imposed reincarnators, along with their equally unlikely companions, gather once again to set things right... but does the world they plan to restore need, or even want, their help? Follow the misadventures of an eclectic bunch of genius misfits as they attempt to assemble and fix the world they accidentally devastated in the past. ~~~ Author's note: This is actually the first volume of a novel I wrote nearly a decade ago for the VNDB discussion boards, taking inspiration from the random off-topic ramblings that characterized the golden age of the community. After sevear years and countless rewrites, it is pretty much unrecognizable, but while it is not fit for professional publishing (due to the fact that several fragments and older versions are still out there on various forums and blogs), I decided it is a waste to just let it sit idly on my hard drive forever. As such, I decided to share it somewhere where people could maybe appreciate it, so here it is.
