"Alright Ladies." I say and the locker room gets quiet. "Today means a lot for all of you. This is your last chance to cement your spot on the World Cup roster so take this seriously...You're all going to play today so if you're not starting don't worry you will be playing. Alright?"

The women in front of me nod.

"Alright. Red team take the left side of the field to warm up and white take the right."

The two different teams nod then everyone heads out to the field and the teams get their last minute stuff done.

"There's a lot of people here for an inter squad game." Ali says as we look around the stadium

We beat Switzerland 4-0 then a few days ago we beat New Zealand 5-0 in Chicago. Before the NWSL Season starts, and before I have a month to decided who to take to Australia, I decided to have an inter squad friendly. US Soccer agreed to my idea and they decided to sell tickets to allow fans to watch so we're playing our match in Utah as well.

"Apparently we sold the stadium out." Becky says as we watch the two teams do their team huddle

"So anybody have any idea on who we should start in goal at the World Cup?" I ask as we sit down.

"Well Aubrey's been playing out of her mind for Washington ever since she's been called up." Ash says.

"And Alyssa's been Killing it." Carli says.

"And Jane and Adrianna are getting better and better." Ali says

"There's a reason Jane and Adrianna are starting today." I say.

"Aubrey and Alyssa are definitely going?" Ash questions and I nod.

"There's no way I can keep them off the roster with how they're playing."

"Who else do you have as a lock to go?" Carli questions so I look down at our team sheets.

After the New Zealand friendly I called in more players to look at so I could do my due diligence. All of the players I've called up have been to at least one of the camps with us since I've taken charge of the team.

"All of the subs are most likely going to go barring something happening." I admit then the subs sit down with us.

"Where are the twins?" Kelley questions from the row behind me.

"Their with the same ladies." I say as the game kicks off.

The first half goes pretty well with both teams getting two goals each. For the Red team Ashley Hatch scored the first goal off a corner then Kristen Hamilton scored off a through ball by Hailie Mace. As for the White team, the first goal came from a Crystal Dunn free kick and the second goal was scored by Lynn Williams after she pressed the defense, won the ball, then she chipped the keeper.

During halftime I go over who's going to get subbed and when then I let the girls relax. Once halftime is almost over everyone heads out to the field then we kick off the second half.

45 long minutes later the whistle finally blows signaling the end of the game while also signaling that neither team got hurt which is a major plus.

The final score is 5-4 to the Red team thanks to Christen scoring the 3rd and 4th goal and Moe scoring the fifth. The White team's 3rd goal came from Mal and the 4th goal came from Alex.

Once the game ends everybody shakes hands then we all huddle around midfield.

"Well you all made my job a lot more harder so thank you for that." I say causing everyone to laugh. "But in all seriousness everyone of you did well. After we break go sign stuff for the fans, get your post match stuff done, then head to the bus."

Everyone nods then we break our huddle. I then head into the tunnel and head to the locker room. Once in the locker room I take my kids from the two ladies then I head to Tobin's locker and sit down with them. Eventually the team trickle in to the locker room and when Kelley finishes changing and showering she grabs Kasey from me then she goes and sits in her locker.

Ingrid's asleep in Mal's arms.

I wait for everyone to get their post match stuff done then I speak up.

"Um If you weren't here for the Switzerland friendly you can head to the buses. The rest of you I need to stay put." I say.

Everyone nods then they get to where they need to be so I take my place in front of everyone.

"Alright so before we head back to the hotel I'd like to thank you for not bringing up what happened during the Switzerland game last Thursday." I say.

"What actually happened?" Kelley asks.

"Panic attack." I admit.

"When did you start having those again?" Christen questions causing me to look down at my feet.

"They started back up after Allie dyed Astrid's hair back in 2019." My wife says. "Most of us saw the beginning of one of her panic attacks in 2020."

"The Dutch game." Kelley says in realization.

"Yeah." I say and pick my head up to look at the team. "I was able to stop that one with medicine, but I ran out and I was focused on the girls so I forgot to go get a refill."

"Are you okay now?" Alyssa asks.

"Yeah I'm good." I admit. "We called my doctor and got my medicine called into a pharmacy in Chicago then we got it when we had the off day after our plane ride."

"Well good." My twin says then she holds Kasey away from her. "Now if you could please change your daughter so we can go eat that would be much appreciated."
