"Ahh." Tobin says as we cuddle on the couch while watching the Christmas Day basketball games. "This is nice."

"Merry Christmas Boo Bear." I softly say then I kiss my wife's head.

"Merry Christmas beautiful." Tobin says and kisses my heart.

"You know there's only one thing I can think of that would make my life even better." I say.

"What's that?" Tobin questions.

"A few little munchkins running around." I say with a smile. "With your hair, your eyes, your cute little nose."

"I'd be nice to have one of our kids have your hair." Tobin says with a smile as she plays with my red hair. "I love your red hair."

"Maybe after the World Cup we can look into adopting." I suggest

"Sounds like a plan." My wife say as Hope and Kelley come into the room.

"Hey Tobin why don't you come help me in the kitchen." Hope says as Kelley stares at the floor.

"Uh sure." Tobin says with furrowed eyebrows then she pecks my lips and gets off the couch.

Tobin walks over to Hope then the two walk out of the room while talking and I catch some of their conversation.

"They need some alone Time." Hope whispers as Kelley approaches me.

"What's up Kelloggs?" I question.

My twin looks down at me for a minute then she lays next to me, wraps an arm around me, and rests her head on my chest.

"Can you sing some of these to me?" Kelley asks and hands me a black notebook

"What's this?" I question as I skim through the book

"It's my songbook from when you were in Germany."

"Oh." I mumble.

Growing up Kelley and I would always write our emotions down first before we talked about them and I guess both of us have kept doing this since I have a songbook as well.

"Which one?" I ask.

"That one." Kelley says and points to the song

My twin then starts humming how she thinks the song would sound so I listen a bit then start sining.

Would you know my name if I wrote you a letter?

Would you recognize my face if I send you a picture?

All the memories of me locked away inside your mind

When you think of me, do you ever shed a tear

Why'd you leave me

Why'd you leave me

Sometimes

Sometimes, I just wanna hear your voice

Why'd you leave me

Why'd you leave

Sometimes, I just wanna hear your voice

If you had three words to say, would they say please forgive me

Since you walked away my days and nights are so lonely

If you stay with me, there's no doubt I'll be alright

I needed you back then and I still need you tonight

Why'd you leave me

Why'd you leave me

Sometimes

Sometimes, I just wanna hear your voice

Why'd you leave me

Why'd you leave

Sometimes, I just wanna hear your voice

My faith told me, all wounds are healed by time

But every day, I know it's a lie

Cause I'm still hurting

I'm still bleeding

Why'd you leave me

Cause sometimes

I just wanna hear you're voice

Why'd you leave me

Why'd you leave me

Sometimes

Sometimes, I just wanna hear your voice

Why'd you leave me

Why'd you leave

Sometimes, I just wanna hear your voice

Why'd you leave me

Why'd you leave

Sometimes

Oh, I just wanna hear you're voice

Why'd you leave me

Why'd you leave

Sometimes

Sometimes, I just wanna hear your voice

Sometimes

Sometimes, I just wanna hear your voice

"When'd you write that?" I ask.

"Before the 2011 World Cup when I was missing you." Kelley mumbles.

I skim through the book until I reach the last page.

"This one please." Kelley requests

"When was this one written?" I ask.

"After the Olympics in 2012 when I understood why you left." Kelley says then she starts humming so I start singing.

I fell by the wayside like everyone else

I hate you, I hate you, I hate you but I was just kidding myself

Our every moment, I start to replace

'Cause now that they're gone all I hear were the words that I needed to say

When you hurt under the surface

Like troubled water running cold

Well, time can heal but this won't

So, before you go

Was there something I could've said to make your heart beat better?

If only I'd have known you had a storm to weather

So, before you go

Was there something I could've said to make it all stop hurting?

It kills me how your mind could make you feel so worthless

So, before you go

Was never the right time whenever you called

Went little by little by little until there was nothing at all

Our every moment, I start to replay

But all I can think about is seeing that look on your face

When you hurt under the surface

Like troubled water running cold

Well, time can heal but this won't

So, before you go

Was there something I could've said to make your heart beat better?

If only I'd have known you had a storm to weather

So, before you go

Was there something I could've said to make it all stop hurting?

It kills me how your mind could make you feel so worthless

So, before you go

Would we be better off by now

If I'd let my walls come down

Maybe I guess we'll never know

You know, you know

Before you go

Was there something I could've said to make your heart beat better?

If only I'd have known you had a storm to weather

So, before you go

Was there something I could've said to make it all stop hurting?

It kills me how your mind could make you feel so worthless

So, before you go

"You know I'm not leaving anymore?" I question. "I'm here for the rest of our lives."

"I know." Kelley says. "Ever since you retired I've missed seeing you everyday."

"I know, but look at it this way." I say causing Kelley to look at me. "Your basically gonna see me everyday from January until after the Olympics next year."

"But then you and Tobin will be here in Portland while Hope and I are in LA." Kelley says with a pout.

"Ya never know Kels." I say then kiss my twins head. "Ya never know."

"You two are gonna move down to Los Angeles?" Kelley questions.

"It's a possibility." I admit. "It depends what Tobin does after she retires and if we're lucky enough to have kids then it'll depend as well on what's best for them."

"FOOD'S READY."

"Come on." I say and tap Kelley's thighs. "Let's go stuff our faces."
