"Morning Cindy." I say when I get into the kitchen

"Morning Astrid."

"Do you need any help?"

Today's thanksgiving and Tobin is sleeping in, but I got up due to the smell of food being cooked.

"I think I'm good right now." Cindy says as Jeff comes into the kitchen. "There's a fresh pot of coffee if you want some."

"Cool." I say and pour my self a cup then sit in the open seat in-between Perry and Katie.

"I'm guessing Tobin's still asleep?" Jeffery asks.

"Yep." I say and take a sip of the coffee. "She was cuddling my pillow when I left her."

"Of course she was." Perry says while laughing.

"Tobin's the cuddliest person I know." Katie says.

"Hey." Tobin says as she comes into the kitchen. "Don't make fun of me."

"They're just teasing sweetheart." Jeff says and kisses his daughter's head.

Tobin pours herself some coffee then she comes over to me. I scoot my chair back then Tobin sits on my lap.

"Morning Boo Bear." I say and wrap my arms around my girlfriend.

"Morning." Tobin says as I rest my head on her back.

"How'd you sleep Tobs?" Perry asks.

"Woulda been better if I woke up with Astrid." Tobin sleepily mumbles.

"I smelt food and my feet lead me in here." I say then finish off my coffee.

"Speaking of food." Cindy says. "The rest of the family will be here soon so you kids need to shower and get ready."

Tobin nods and gets off my lap then the two of us head to the room we're sleeping in. When we get into the room we both strip then jump into the shower and take the tamest shower ever together. Once we're clean and sweet smelling we change into our clothes then we head back to the living room.

"AUNT TO-TO." One of Tobin's nephew's yells.

"Hi." Tobin says with a smile and bends down.

All the kiddies in the family run and jump on to Tobin.

"I missed you guys." Tobin says and hugs the little kids.

"You should see your smile." Katie teases.

"How can I not smile?" I say then look at the oldest Heath child. "I always smile when Tobin's around."

"Whipped." Perry says.

"True."

"FOOD'S READY." Cindy shouts.

"Come on kiddos." Tobin says and leads the kids into the kitchen.

"Aunt To-To?" One of Tobin's nephew's says and pulls on her sweats.

"Yes sweetie?" Tobin asks and squats down to his height.

"Who's dat?" The little boy asks and points at me.

Tobin looks at who he's pointing at, me, then she picks the child up and brings him over to me.

"This is my very special friend Astrid."

"Hi sweetheart." I say and smile at the little boy.

"Hi." He says with a big smile then he looks at Tobin. "I hungry."

Tobin smiles at the little boy then she sets him down and he runs to his mother.

"I didn't call you my girlfriend because I don't know if my sister has explained that sort of stuff to him yet." Tobin says.

"It's okay Toby." I say.

Tobin and I get in line and grab our food then we sit down next to each other. Once everyone has their food the family pray then we dig in to our food.

"So Astrid." One of Tobin's relatives says.

Uh oh.

Here comes the 20 questions.

"How did you and Tobin meet?"

"We met at a national team camp." I say.

"So you play soccer." A male relative says.

"I play football, yes." I say then eat some delicious dressing.

"Let it go dudes." Katie says when the men try to argue. "Astrid will shut down that argument quicker than you can say Thanksgiving."

"Where did you go to college?" One of Tobin's aunts asks.

"I went to Stanford on an athletic scholarship."

"What degree did you get while you were there?"

"Uh I have a masters degree in astronautics and aeronautics." I say then eat some ham.

"Woah...What do you do with that degree?"

"I design planes."

"What kind of planes?"

"Commercial airliners."

"Dang Tobin." One of the uncles says. "Your girlfriend is smart."

"Yes she is." Tobin says with a smile.

"So how did you end up in Germany for 11 years?" Another one of Tobin's aunts asks.

"Um..." I say then wipe some stuff from my mouth. "Something happened when I was at college that forced me to leave and I had offers from German teams so I took them."

I then look down at my hands and start playing with my fingers.

"It's okay." Tobin whispers and kisses my cheek. "You're safe Astrid."

I weekly smile at Tobin then start eating the rest of my food. Once I'm done I clean up my dishes then help clean up all the dishes. I then walk off by myself because I kinda wanna be alone right now.

As I'm walking I find a room with a piano I haven't seen before so I walk into it.

"Woah." I say and run my hand over the piano

"What?" Katie asks which scares me a bit.

"Who's piano?"

"It was my grandmother's." Cindy says.

"I've never seen one before." I say.

"A piano?" Perry asks.

"No." I say while chuckling. "It's 1912 Steinway Model M."

"Do you play piano?" Tobin asks.

"Only when I sing otherwise I can't." I admit. "I don't actually know why that is."

"Will you play for us?" Jeff asks.

"Any requests?" I ask as I sit down

"Sing a song for Tobin." Perry says making Tobin blush

"I know just the song." I say and begin playing the piano.

Some people live for the fortune

Some people live just for the fame

Some people live for the power, yeah

Some people live just to play the game

Some people think that the physical things

Define what's within

And I've been there before

But that life's a bore

So full of the superficial

Some people want it all

But I don't want nothing at all

If it ain't you, baby

If I ain't got you, baby

Some people want diamond rings

Some just want everything

But everything means nothing

If I ain't got you, yeah

Some people search for a fountain

That promises forever young

Some people need three dozen roses

And that's the only way to prove you love them

Hand me the world on a silver platter

And what good would it be

With no one to share

With no one who truly cares for me

Some people want it all

But I don't want nothing at all

If it ain't you, baby

If I ain't got you, baby

Some people want diamond rings

Some just want everything

But everything means nothing

If I ain't got you, you, you

Some people want it all

But I don't want nothing at all

If it ain't you, baby

If I ain't got you, baby

Some people want diamond rings

Some just want everything

But everything means nothing

If I ain't got you, yeah

If I ain't got you with me, baby

So nothing in this whole wide world don't mean a thing

If I ain't got you with me, baby

"Aw." Katie says. "You do love my sister."

"Yes I do." I say then look at my Forward. "I love her very very much."
