"Astrid can you see everyone?" Kelley asks.

"Yes Kelley." I say.

The World Cup roster is released today and apparently all the national team girls get on Skype while Jill calls them.

"HI ASTRID." Mal yells.

"Hey Mal." I say and smile at her. "How's the panda?"

"Good." She says and holds it up. "But I need a new shirt."

"I got you." I say as someone's phone rings.

Becky answers her phone and obviously she makes it. After all of the NWSL girls know their fate my phone rings so I mute myself so nobody can hear the conversation.

"Hello?"

"Hi Astrid"

"Hey Jill."

"So first things first you're going to France so congratulations."

"Thank you."

"Second we need to talk logistics."

"Okay?"

"So all of the NWSL girls will be reporting This weekend and I know you have some games left so what would you like to do?"

"We have two more league games until the season's over so if it's possible I'd like to finish the season."

"I figured. When is your last game?"

"The same day as the South Africa game."

"Okay...Just try not to get hurt."

"I'll try."

"Alright well I guess we'll see you the thirteenth." Jill says then we hang up.

After we hang up I un mute the Skype call and notice everyone staring at me.

"What?" I ask.

"WELL." Kelley yells.

"I will see you on the thirteenth."

"What?" Carli says.

Everyone who isn't a captain or my sister leaves the call. So only Becky, Carli, Alex, Pinoe, and Kelley are left in the call.

I feel like that's too many captains.

"I have two more games in the season so Jill is letting me stay then I fly out on the thirteenth."

"Why not just come now?" Kelley asks.

"Kelley I have a game Sunday that we have to win to win the title then at our last game we'll be lifting the trophy."

"Do you worry about not starting at the World Cup?" Alex asks.

"Should I? I mean Alyssa's the number one and Ash is number two." I say.

"Astrid I'm going to be honest here." Carli says. "I love Alyssa and Ash and they're great keepers, but you are the best keeper of the three."

"Oh...Anything else we need to discuss?"

"Don't get hurt." Pinoe says.

"Besides that." I say.

"No Astrid." Kelley says. "Go to sleep."

"Don't gotta tell me twice." I say then hang up.

"I know she's my twin, but this is too early for a game." I groan at 7 IN THE MORNING.

Today's our game against South Africa and it's also Astrid's last game with Wolfsburg. Last night everyone decided we'd get up and watch the game at breakfast. Right now were just waiting for the stream to start on my computer that we hooked up to the projector.

"Shh. It's starting." Mal says while clutching her panda that is still wearing Astrid's shirt.

Mal also stole one of Astrid's shirts and she's wearing it. Tobin stole a pair of Astrid's sweatpants and one of her shirts which she's wearing as well...okay I also took a shirt. Sue me.

"That's a lot of people." Jessica says as the two teams shake hands.

"Yeah apparently they had to move it to the Men's stadium so they could fit everyone." I say.

"Ali we may need your translation skills." Alex says.

"Um they are doing a ceremony for Astrid." Ali says while cuddled into Ash who's feeding them both breakfast.

"WHAT." I yell.

"Kelley she's been there for 11 years." Christen says as 10 of the 11 Wolfsburg players stand off to the side.

Before I can respond to Christen, Astrid is handed a shadowbox with her jersey in it and a bouquet of flowers. Inside the shadow box, along with her jersey, is a plaque with Astrid's name on it and the amount of appearances for the club.

"She's played 336 games for Wolfsburg?" Becky asks as they show the plaque.

"Astrid hated not playing so it wouldn't surprise me if she never missed a game." I say.

"She missed a couple." Carli says. "I did the math."

As Astrid stands with the people who presented her the shadowbox and flowers she lowers her head behind the shadowbox for a few seconds then picks her head up to reveal fresh tears falling down her face. After the pictures are taken the shadowbox is taken away and Astrid is handed a microphone.

"Hallo zusammen. Danke." Astrid says.

"Hello everyone. Thank you all for coming here today...It amazes me that 30,000 people are here to see a girl from Georgia play a game of football...I came to Germany 11 years ago not knowing what I was doing with my life, but lucky for me, Wolfsburg took a chance on me and I'm forever grateful they did...When I was told the club was honoring me today I didn't understand why. I never did anything special to deserve this. These ladies behind me make my job a breeze so I'd like to thank my teammates for all they do for me and helping me not break a sweat during games. I'd like to thank this club for always believing in me. I'd especially like to thank Alexandra Popp for being my German sister and always having my back. And last, but certainly not least, I'd like to thank the fans and the city for always believing in us...It has been the greatest honor of my life to have been your keeper for 11 years. This club, this fanbase, and this city will always hold a special place in my heart...Thank you." Ali translates.

My twin hands the microphone back then jogs over to the team huddle. While the captain is giving the team instructions Astrid has her head down trying not to show her emotions. Once the captain is done Astrid walks in front of her backline towards goal.

"Think she'll be able to control her emotions through the game?" Christen asks.

"Yep." I say as the whistle blows.

The first 20 minutes is very entertaining for Wolfsburg fans. The Wolfsburg attack peppers the Potsdam goal and by the time Potsdam has one shot on goal in the 20th minute the score is 2-0.

"Astrid was right." Ash says. "She barely has to do anything."

"Spoke too soon." Pinoe says as one of the Potsdam attackers runs at goal.

The Potsdam player decides to try her luck and hit it from distance, but Astrid easily saves it. Astrid then drops the ball and walks with the ball upfield.

"This should be fun." I say as a couple Potsdam player approaches.

As the Potsdam players get to her Astrid pulls off three tricks that I don't even know what they are. Everyone in the breakfast room loses their shit after Astrid gets past all three of them, leaving each one on their ass.

"What did she just do?" Sam asks.

"Just Astrid being Astrid." Christen says.

After Astrid gets past those players she looks up then quickly looks back down and slams her foot into the ball. The ball flies perfectly into the Potsdam 18 yard box and lands right on Popp's head then sails past the keeper making it 3-0.

"Damn." Kling says.

After the ball hits the net Popp sprints to my twin and jumps into her arms.

"Easy there Tobin." I say after I notice her grip on her fork tighten. "She's just a friend."

"Still."

"Chill." I whisper and grab her hand so her grip loosens. "Astrid likes you and only you. No need to be jealous."

Tobin goes to say something, but screaming coming from the stream breaks her focus.

The rest of the game is entertaining and by the end of the game Wolfsburg has won 5-0. After the final whistle Astrid's team celebrate then they get their medals and lift the trophy.

As they are walking around the field a FaceTime alert pops up on my laptop with Astrid's name.

"What the hell." I mumble then accept the call. "Hey sis."

"Confused?" Astrid asks with a smirk.

"Very." Alex says causing Astrid to laugh.

"I told you guys the wrong time. Our game started at 5 am your time so I told you seven o'clock instead."

"Oh." I say.

"Does the German keeper hate you?" Pinoe asks.

"For never letting her in goal?" Astrid asks and Pinoe nods. "If she does she doesnt show it. I mean she is a great keeper."

"But..." Ash says.

"But I'm better." Astrid says with a smirk.

"Ass." I say.

"I know mine's better."

"Astrid?" Mal asks.

"Yes Mal?"

"That Popp girl is on the German team right?"

"Yes she is."

"That's a bit scary."

"We got her." Astrid says with all the confidence in the world.

"So that was a nice ceremony." Christen says.

"Yeah." Astrid says and scratches her neck. "It was a bit weird."

"I still can't believe you played that many games for the club." Becky says.

"I just hated not playing. And I've never been injured so..."

"Where did those skills come from?" Christen asks.

"No clue." Astrid says and shrugs. "Just tried not to give the ball away."

"It was impressive." Tobin says with a smirk.

"Says the nutmeg queen." Astrid says with a wink making Tobin blush.

There's then German being spoke which cause's Astrid to look up then nod.

"Alright the team's going to dinner so I'll see everyone tomorrow night."
