"So Adriana and Jane are both out and won't be fit for the World Cup." Dawn says.

"Shit." I say.

"Who should we call up?"

"We could always ask HER again."

"Doesn't hurt to try." Dawn says as I get my phone out and call the person we are talking about.

"Hello?"

"Hey its Jill."

"Ahh. Hello...I assume you're in a bit of a predicament."

"Yes and I'd like to offer you a spot."

"Sure. I'll be there."

"That's everything...Welcome to Camp Astrid." Jill says.

"Thanks Coach." I say.

"You ready to see your sister?" Jill tentatively asks.

"No, but it's been eleven years so I have to see her sooner or later."

"I guess so."

"I don't mean to be rude, but can I head to training early?"

"Uh sure." Jill says then gives me directions.

I thank her again then take my stuff to the room I'm staying in and grab my gear then head over to the training pitch

Once at the pitch I get my cleats and gloves on then take off my shirt leaving me in just a sports bra since it's fucking hot and set up the mini nets to practice my throwing distribution. After the nets are sporadically placed around the field I jog back to the goal and take the balls out of the bag and practice my distribution.

After 30 minutes of practicing the one person I wasn't ready to see approaches me.

"Hey you might want to put a shirt on before the coaches see you." My twin says while looking at her phone.

When she gets closer to me I clear my throat and my twin looks up and her jaw drops.

"A-Astrid?"

"Hello Kelley." I say.

"W-what are you doing here?"

"Well since Jane and Adriana are injured and won't be ready before the World Cup Jill called me."

"You shouldn't have came.

"Well it's good to see you too."

"Astrid it's been eleven years" Kelley says with venom

"You aren't that one that get's to be mad."

"YOU LEFT" Kelley yells

"Do you know how hard it was to be your twin?" I ask

"It wasn't that hard."

"Kels you're the golden child. Whenever I lost everything when we were twenty people would say 'oh I can't imagine how hard this is for Kelley and your family'. Never 'oh I'm so sorry you just lost everything'...They only cared about you."

Kelley then throws her arms around me hugs me for the first time in 11 years. I hug her back and rest my chin on her head.

Kelley and I are fraternal twins, but the only thing that's different about us is that I'm 6 inches taller than her somehow, even the doctors are confused on why that happened. I also have bigger hands and I also have bigger and better assets if you get what I mean. Other than that we look exactly a like. 

"I'm so sorry." Kelley says into my chest.

"I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have ran."

"If you ever leave me again I will punch you in the tit."

"Well you might as well hit me since I have to go back to Germany after this camp."

"When will you be back?"

"Um if I get called up for the World Cup then I'll be here after the 12th of May. If not then I don't know...you and I can talk about that later."

"KELLEY WHO'S THAT." I hear Kelley's best friend Alex Morgan yell.

I then turn around and stand next to my twin.

Everyone stops in their tracks and stares at us.

"Wait why are there two KO's and why is one taller than the other?" A women with blonde hair asks.

"ASTRID." Christen yells and runs at me then jumps into my arms.

"Hey Pressy." I say.

Christen, Kelley, and I all went to Stanford at the same time.

"What are you doing here?"

"I'm your third keeper."

"Well I see everyone has met the new player." Jill says. "Please welcome Astrid O'Hara."

"Kelley you have another sister?" A young looking girl asks.

"Actually we're twins." Kelley says.

"Fuck off." A girl with short hair says.

"Nope. I'm just taller, smarter, and better looking." I say.

"Astrid we are twins. We look the same." Kelley says.

"Keep telling your self that."

"Ass." Kelley mumbles.

"And I have a better one." I say and Kelley smacks my arm.

"Just shut up."

"Alright everyone lets get going." Dawn says.

For the next 20 minutes Dawn leads us in stretching then the keepers go off on our own.

"Come on girls let's get to work." The keeper coach says.

The next hour is filled with us doing keeper drills which gets a bit monotonous. Finally Jill calls everyone over.

"Alright you ladies take five and get some water then we'll do some 11v11." Jill says.

Everyone nods then heads to their bags and grabs some water while relaxing.

"Alright girls we'll be doing 11v11 for the last 30 minutes." Jill says.

Great.

"Astrid and Kelley I want you on the same team."

"Okay." I say and Kelley nods.

Once the teams are picked Christen kicks off for our team.

Towards the end of the scrimmage Kelley is passed the ball and Alex follows the ball to put pressure on my twin.

"RED LEFT KELS RED LEFT." I yell then Kelley smiles then deals with the pressure.

She remembers.

A minute or two later Mal crosses the ball, but I easily take it out of the air then throw it at Kelley.

"GREEN KELS GREEN." I yell.

Kelley gathers the ball then takes off down the right side. As she coasts into the offensive half she looks up and spots Christen's run then crosses the ball right to her feet and Christen just has to touch it and the ball goes into the net.

Dawn blows the whistle signaling the end of the 11v11 and Kelley runs at me and jumps into my arms.

"You remembered." Kelley says and kisses my cheek.

"Of course I remember...You wanna get down?"

"Nope."

"Okay then climb to my back. My arms are tired." I say then Kelley somehow climbs around my body and on to my back and wraps her legs around me.

"How do your arms hurt?" Kelley asks as I walk us to the group

"Kels you try doing keeper training after having played 7 games in one month."

"I'm good." Kelley says then rests her head on mine.

"What were you two saying?" Sam asks.

"We have a secret code using colors." Kelley says and hops off my back.

"Oh."

"What do the colors mean?" Carli asks.

"Well the ones you heard today are red and green. Red means pressure then I say which direction the pressure is and then green means hall butt...the rest shall remain a secret." I say as Jill approaches.

"That's everything we're done for today" Jill says.

"Wait." Kelley says.

"What?" Carli says as Kelley turns to me.

"Are you still insane at Penalties?" Kelley asks.

"Yep." I say.

"When you say insane what do you mean?" Ash asks.

"I have only ever let in 20 penalties in game and in practice."

"Fuck off." Pinoe says.

"When did you let your first one in?" Tobin asks.

"2010."

"Well I need to see this in action." Ash says.

"Ugh fuck fine." I say and grab my bag. "Let's go."

All of us then walk towards the goal and I put on my gloves then get on the line.

"Alright who's first?" I ask.

"ME." Christen shouts.

Christen sets the ball up and does her normal routine. She then does her run up and shoots to my left and I easily save it.

"Same old Christen." I say and roll the ball out.

20 more people go and like usual I save ever penalty.

"My turn." Kelley says then grabs the ball and sets it up.

I smirk at Kelley causing her to smirk back. Kelley then does her usual run up and as always I save it.

"You need to change your tell Kelley." I say.

"Oh shut it you." Kelley says.

"I guess it's me." Mal says and sets up.

After Mal sets up I try to find her tell, but can't. Mal does her run up then fires the ball towards the goal.

"OH MY GOD THAT'S 21." Kelley yells when the ball hits the net.

I slam my fist on the ground then grab the ball and roll it to Mal.

"Again." I say and get in my stance as Mal sets up.

As she set's up I look her over and finally I see it.

Mal fires the ball towards goal and I save it this time.

"Alright I got it." I say then go to my bag.

Once at my bag I get out my notebook and write down Mal Pugh's tell.

I keep notebooks of all the players I have faced or will face penalty tell's so I can be counted during penalties.

After I write down the tell I head over to the group.

"So today is April 2nd..." Coach says causing me to tense.

"Fuck." Kelley says.

"Something wrong?" Carli asks.

"Just...one moment please." Kelley says.

My twin then comes over and grabs my hand and leads me away from the group. Once we reach my stuff on the ground she stops and opens up my bags and gets my running earbuds and pulls out my phone and syncs them together.

While she's doing this I'm trying not to cry.

"Down." Kelley says so I squat so were at a level height.

Kelley then pulls my hair away from my ears and puts in one of my running ear buds.

"Off." Kelley says and tugs the hem of my shirt so I take it off once again leaving me in a sports bra and shorts. Kelley then straps my phone into a bicep band then straps the band onto me.

"Good." My twin says then cups my face. "Now you are fine. They're both proud of you. I'm proud of you, all of us are proud of you Astrid."

"I'm sorry." I whisper.

"You have nothing to be sorry about. I'd be the exact same way if this happened to me...Now go."

Kelley points to the far end line so I go over there and wait.

"GO." Kelley yells and I start running.

Today is the anniversary of something traumatic happening in my life and I never like hearing today's date otherwise I'll end up in a bar drinking till dawn the next day. I use to do this running thing when I was younger when I was sad or angry.

"You were saying." I hear Kelley say.

"Should we wait?" Becky asks.

I haven't started the music yet. I knew they'd be talking about something.

"No she can hear you." Kelley says.

"Really?" Mal says.

"Watch...ASTRID QUICK CAPITAL OF AUSTRALIA, MADAGASCAR, AND SOUTH AFRICA?"

"CANBERRA, ANTANANARIVO, AND SOUTH AFRICA HAS THREE."

"WELL WHAT ARE THEY?" Kelley yells.

"BLOEMFONTEIN, CAPE TOWN, PRETORIA"

"WHAT'S THE FIBONACCI SEQUENCE?"

"HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT IS?" I yell making everyone laugh.

"CRIMINAL MINDS...ANSWER THE QUESTION."

"0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, AND THEN IT KEEPS GOING FROM THERE."

"COME ON MOVE THOSE FEET DUMBASS." Kelley yells.

"BITCH YOU HAVE A DEGREE IN SCIENCE."

"SO"

"I HAVE A MASTERS DEGREE IN AERONAUTICS AND ASTRONAUTICS." I yell.

"SHOW OFF."

"SQUIRELL."

"See I told you she can hear you." Kelley says.

Ah fuck it I'll ask Kelley later what coach said.

I turn my music and keep running until I hear Kels voice over my music.

"ASTRID." She yells and then kicks a ball into my path.

I run towards the ball and slam my foot into it and the ball sails into the net.

"DONE." Kelley yells.

I stop running then get the ball and throw it back towards the bag then grab my gear bag and head towards the bus all while ignoring the looks from everyone else.

As I approach the bus Kelley comes and walks next to me.

"She just had to mention the date." I say.

"Astrid she didn't know."

"I know." I say as Kelley looks behind us.

"Stop starring at my sister's ass." She says.

"You just had to embarrass the poor girl."

"It's my job as your twin."

"Don't make me call Hope."

"You wouldn't."

"We both know I would...Speaking of Hope how are you two?"

"Good. There's a lot less stress now that I don't live in Jersey."

"I bet...she still treating you good?"

"Yes Astrid she is."

"Good."
