Flashback : one hour ago

"I think I found something."

Kelsey's words are enough to make Shelina turn around, and Tobin stand on her bare feet.

"What ?"

"Remember when I hacked the police's files the other day ?" the goalie asks, talking more for herself than for the two other girls. "I found it weird that the sister wasn't mentioned anywhere. So I digged in the University's archives and there again, no sign of a sister. It's where it stroke me."

The middy clearly being impatient, she lets out :

"Dude, spill it out"

Tobin's impatience makes Kelsey smirk, as Shelina is waiting, arms crossed against her chest.

"It's like this person has been wiped out every official reports ever. But lucky you, I am in charge of the computer and I found an article : our friend Whitney Engen was a very good swimmer before playing soccer, and she took part in a famous team. She had to quit though, because she found out she had liver problems. There was a donor the day after Whitney registered, and that person name, although a little different then, appears on one of the files as a relative of Whitney... Her sister it seems."

Shelina nods.

"Who is it ?"

Kelsey frowns.

"Something doesn't make sense though. It is said further on the file that the donor got involved in a car crash, and I have reason to believe that it was the same where Whitney lost her life..."

"Which means..." Shelina starts, confused.

"... that Whitney's sister was in the car that night, and witnessed the accident and probably saw Hope Solo." Tobin says, in shock.

Shelina shakes her head.

"Okay, but what is the name on the file ?"

The goalie looks at her screen, and then back and forth in between the two girls staring at her, impatiently waiting for her to give that name.

Kelsey frowns and says :

"... Julie Engen"

"Wait" Tobin says, staring at the screen as well. "Which means Julie, our Julie, now Johnston, is Whitney's sister ?"

"Yes" Shelina confirms.

But Kelsey isn't done frowning.

"It doesn't make any sense" she lets out, shaking her head. "Julie's too old to be Whitney's younger sister..."

"But she's old enough to be her twin" Shelina points out.

"Guys" Kelsey slowly says, eyes on her screen. "I think I found something else..."

"Is that...?" Shelina starts, but Tobin beats her to it :

"A camera near the Walmart located in between the two campus filmed the scene..."

The three girls don't move, as none of them dares to press play, as Julie's silhouette can be seen in the shadows, and probably Christie's somewhere else.

As they press play, something strikes Tobin and she says :

"Wait, why is Christie the one holding the gun ?"

Flashback : day of Christie Rampone's death

Julie sets her jaw, trying to ignore the fact that she is terrifying. At least she doesn't want to show it to a woman she despises.

"I know who you are, Johnston..." Christie Rampone starts, pointing the gun at the younger defender, a terrible smile on her lips. The blonde slowly puts her grocery bags on the floor, staring toward her car : it's too far away for her to just run and not being shot. "Or should I say, 'Engen'?"

The blonde tries to come up with something.

"How did you know who I was ?" she asks, calm.

The older girl bursts into laughter, before staring at the girl in front of her, a mad light lightening her eyes.

Ever since Whitney died, Julie has been mourning her twin. The only thought of Hope Solo and her friends despises her. Now that the older girl is standing in front of her, Julie is just thinking 'I should be the one with that gun in hands'. But she knows that real justice isn't earned by death, but by justice itself.

Christie smirks.

"Oh, Julie" she lets out in a dramatic tone, half-amused by herself. "Hope Solo saw you in that car that night. You know, when your dear sister died, and that you ran away ? Well, she told us."

"'Us'?"

"Yeah. Me, Ali, Ash and Alex" Christie says, not sure why it is so important.

But Julie smirks.

"So Hope sent you to me ?"

"Basically. She's not stupid, and neither am I" the older girl says in a confident tone, getting her gun ready. She then smirks. "You are the only person that knows what Hope did and could drag her down. This was your plan all along, right ? Joining the Bruins where you knew would be some girls involved ?"

Julie nods. Christie goes on :

"You're a smart kid, Julie. Too bad you're the enemy."

As Christie is about to shot Julie, the back door of the store opens, and Maro comes out of it. As soon as the veteran sees her, she gets way closer to Julie and puts the gun on her throat. When the German sees what's happening, she slowly, very slowly puts the bags down and calmly walks closer to the two girls.

But the veterans isn't too happy about that.

"Don't move, or I won't hesitate" Christie threatens.

Maro raises her hands.

"Fine. I won't try anything."

Julie, who is much more worried about Maro than herself, escapes Christie's grips and just places herself in front of her. Christie raises her eyebrows, but the younger defender is the first one to say :

"You're right, I came to UCLA to get revenge. But not this kind of revenge : ever since I joined the team two years ago, I started investigating, gathering evidences to drag you all down. Then, I discovered Kelley and Becky weren't the bad guys : they just were friends with the person I despised the most. I recognized Hope Solo the minute I saw her at that first game, but she didn't. It took her some time, and I guess she wanted to wait a little while longer to deal with me, because if she did it earlier, she would've been exposed."

Christie smirks, as Maro starts shaking.

"Very smart indeed" Christie mutters, smirking. "I guess you know the end is near, Julie. We can't have a living witness of that car crash, Hope made it very clear. I'm sorry, I love humanity, but I love my freedom more."

As the older girl is trying to pull the trigger, Maro suddenly runs toward her and kind of tackles her. Christie falls hard on the ground, as the gun slips away from her. Both her and the German are now fighting with bare hands, as Julie just stands still, frozen. The panic in her just takes over : she doesn't want the love of her life getting hurt : her and Maro just are starting something and aren't even together yet. That realization makes Julie grab the gun and point it toward the two girls fighting.

But the odds are too high : she might hurt Maro if she pulls the trigger. So she shakes her head, not knowing what to do.
