We are never going to find someone!" I groaned as I slide into the booth alongside Leah and her boyfriend Oliver.

"Don't worry Aub we will." Leah patted my hand sympathetically. My hope was starting to diminish with each passing day. It has been almost a week since I put the ad in the newspaper and I have yet to find the perfect guy to bring home to my family.

"That guy wasn't too bad." Leah said.

"Leah he was 60 years old." Beside her Oliver chuckled, finding amusement in this whole thing. I shot him a glare but he kept laughing. He found this whole thing funny when Leah told him what I was doing.

Leah and Oliver were not on board with this whole plan but every guy I've met so far they've both been here at The Busy Bean just a booth away in case I needed any help. I think the main reason Oliver tagged along was to get a kick at me meeting with a bunch of weirdos. I think it was payback for all the times I made him uncomfortable when he first started dating Leah.

I did like that Oliver was here because one of the guys I met with wouldn't take no for an answer. But as soon as Oliver's huge frame came up behind me the guy shut up and high tailed it out of the cafe.

"I..." Leah trailed off having nothing else to say to that. We both knew I couldn't bring some creepy old guy to my parents house. Hell no.

"What happened with the second guy? What was his name..."

"Lester?"

"Yeah him." Oliver nodded, leaning back and wrapping an arm around Leah.

"He was a freak." I mumbled grabbing my coffee.

"Yeah he kept asking about her feet." Leah chortled across from me.

"Your feet? Someone's got a kink." I shook my head as the two of them laughed about the foot guy. Lester at first seemed like a good guy. Asked about my job, my life, flirted with me. But then an hour into our conversation it took a weird turn when he started asking about my feet. When he wouldn't stop asking to see them I finally got up and left. No feet fetish for me, thank you very much.

Hearing Leah soft giggles I glanced up from my coffee mug and found Oliver whispering something in her ear to make her laugh. I watched as the happy couple talked amongst themselves, forgetting I was even around.

The longer I watched the two of them laugh together it made the pain in my chest ache just a little bit more. Every time I saw the two of them together it made my heart drop just a little more in chest.

It wasn't because I didn't like Oliver or anything. Oliver Jamison was the perfect match for Leah; with his 6'2 frame that dwarfed Leah, his beautiful molten brown eyes, and his dark skin that honestly made him super attractive. But he was all Leah's and she was all his.

Oliver was the head coach of the football at the local university. Him and Leah met their Junior year of college when Leah literally ran into him on the football field as she was taking photos. It was instant connection and now 6 years later they are still going strong.

Watching them together just made me sad that I didn't have someone to look at me the way they looked at each other. They were literally the perfect couple and I couldn't help but be semi jealous of their love.

Sighing into my coffee I took another sip as I reached for my phone. I left the pair to their own thing knowing we all had to be back at work in a few minutes. Going through my emails once more I was disappointed to see no one else has responded to my ad. Maybe it was for the best I didn't find anyone.

All the guys were either too old, creepy, or someone I would never date so that made it unbelievable. With the handful of guys I've already met my chances of finding someone good was nearing down. Our little city wasn't that big anyways so the number of men had to be going down.

Feeling a headache coming on I sat my phone aside and gathered my things. My actions caught the attentions of Leah and Oliver.

"You leaving?"

"Yeah got to get back to the office." I already had enough on my plate with my job and now this whole fake boyfriend thing was starting to stress me out.

"Well let me know if anyone else responds." Leah sent me a supportive smile. I gave her one back but I felt a part of me already losing hope.

With a bye to Oliver I quickly left the cafe. I made myself push aside all thoughts regarding this stupid plan of mine and focus back on work. A promotion was on the line and I needed to focus on it. Then I can focus on this whole boyfriend thing later.
