family photos were filled with emty stares, strangers were greeted with dishonest nods and kids feared their daily trips to the dentist.

y/n shuffled under the covers to look at her friend who lay next to her. the two were watching a movie, but none of them really payed attention to it.

"you okay there, y/n?"

sana reached out to the girl, holding her hand while looking into her eyes

"yeah, just a bit tired. that's all."

y/n replied, slowly blinking

"do you want me to turn off the tv?"

"yeah, it's getting pretty boring"

"okay. hey y/n? wanna hear a joke?"

sana tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, gazing at y/n while switching off the movie
