Nandha was aimlessly walking through the corridor of Hastinapur when an unexpected person came walking from the opposite side to her. Her brother-in-law Nakul was walking her way while reading a parchment. She was about to turn and walk away when she noticed that he has already spotted her.
Nandha was conflicated on whether to walk away or talk to him. Sure Nakul is her brother-in-law but the warning from her husband the other night made her stop from having a conversation with him. She had been successful in avoiding the whole pandavas these few days. Kunti was the only whom she had a proper conversation with other than her, she had no conversation with pandavas.
If she stop and talk to him then it would be like insulting her husband and if she walk away then it would be like disespecting her brother-in-law. After a lot of fights within her own mind she decided to walk away rather than having a conversation with him. Her husband is important for her than anyone in this world now.
"Now you are the one leaving me Nandhu." Nakul said when she was about to walk past him.
Nandha stopped walking hearing his words. She looked at him with shook filled eyes. She felt her heart beatting abnormally as her breathing became heavy. She felt her eyes tearing up as she looked into his brown orbs.
"Nakula" His name left her lips without her own knowledge.
"I came back like I promised you, Nandhu. And now you are the one who is going away from me." He said with a teary smile.
"Nakula" A sob escaped her lips.
Nandha didn't know what was happening, all she knew was that the person whom she was longing to see for the past 10 years. Not caring about anything she threw herself on him.
"You are really here Nakula. You are really here." She sobbed hugging him.
"Yes I am here and now no more tears my bestie. I am back this time to stay forever." He said as he broke the hug. He cupped her face and wiped her tears.

She smiled, "You are right, no more tears from now on. Only happiness. We are meeting each other after 10 years Nakula. Time just flies."
"You are right. The last time I saw you, you were so short with cute chubby cheeks and two plates but now you look so different. You look more beautiful. You are no more chubby and short, You are quite grown up. Now you are no more the rajkumari of Amernath but the yuvrani of Hastinpur." Nakul smile bitterly at the last sentence.
"Not only me but you too have changed Nakula. You are no more a small boy but a grown up man. Time had brought many changes in your facial features. You see even I was unable to recognize you. Even your habits too had changed, You have changed a lot Nakula" She said.
"You are right Nandha, I have changed a lot but my love for you is still the same like before." He said looking into her eyes deeply.
Nandha smiled miunderstanding his love to be that of friendship completely missing the agony in his voice.
"Aw its so sweet. Come lets go to the garden. We have a lot to catch up that we missed in each others life in these 10 years." Nandha said as she dragged him with her.
Both of them went from there unknown to the seeds of destruction they have sowed. They rekindled their friendship unknown to the destruction that was about to befall on them. They ignored the abnormal calmes which always came before the raging storm.
Shakuni walked out from behind the door with his ever shining wicked smile. It was clear from his expression that he had listened the entire conversation between the two. For him it was like the sought-after vine wrapped around his feet.
"Panduputr Nakul loves Alakanandha. Seems like she too reciprocate the same feeling. You have made my job easy Alaknandha. Now the story of Sunda and Upasunda will repeat itself again. The only different in story is that those brothers loved each other where as these brother hate each other." He smirked evilly.

Now he had got the perfect plan weaving in his wicked mind. He is after all known for his aptitude of weaving plans and plotting of destruction. This time he will surely avenge his father. He will make every Kuru to cry in blood like his sister had cried over her destroyed life. He will destroy the entire kuruvash and turn their clan into ashes.
Admist his revenge he forgot one thing that for whom he is taking the revenge too will suffer from the aftermath of the blood war.
Duryodhana sat on his bed lost in his own thoughts. He felt anger clouding his mind as he kept thinking about his mama Shakuni's words.
"Putra I have to talk to you about a very important matter." Shakuni said eyeing the daasis inside the chamber.
Duryodhana understood that the matter is very serious seeing the way his mamashree eyed their surroundings. He ordered all the daasis to go out of the room and ordered the guard to not let anyone enter his Chamber untill he says. Shakuni started started crying as soon as the last person walked out of the chamber.
"Mamashree why are you crying? What happened to you? Please stop crying and tell me what happened?" Duryodhana asked looking quite worried.
"Putra I feel so sorry for you. You got betrayed by the person you love the most. You loved her with all your heart but what you got nothing other than her betrayel. I know you must have done many things just to get a place in her heart but putra it was all futile. You failed putra." Shakuni bawled.
"Mamashree tell me clearly I am not understanding anything. Who betrayed me? Whom are you talking about?" Duryodhana asked confusion clouding his features.
"You are being betrayed by your own wife. Alaknandha is betraying you my child. She is seeing Nakul behind your back." Shakuni said making a sad face.
Like expected Duryodhan roared in anger,"How dare you mamashree acuse my wife of such an hideous act?"
"Putra do you think me, your mamashree would tell something hideous about your wife for no reason. A few pehras before I saw Alaknandha and Nakul walking out of one of the closed chamber. They both were looking suspicious. Their clother were crumbled and messed up."
"I won't believe it. My Nandha will never betray me. She would never do something like that." Duryodhana said shaking his head in disbelief.
"If someone else had told me then I too would not have believed but putra I have seen it with my own eyes. Believe me putra. Believe me, you are being cheated by them. They both are having dalliance behind your back putra." Shakuni said moving towards Duryodhana.
Duryodhana felt his head spinning hearing the words of Shakuni. His wife and the cousin of him whom he loathes are having an affair. How can they? They have just met a few days ago. He clenched his fist stopping him from doing something which he will regret in his life.
"Mamashree please leave me alone." He said sitting on the davenport.
"Please take care of yourself putra and remember your mamashree will always be with you my child." Shakuni said patting his shoulder.
With one last look at Duryodhana, Shakuni left the chamber feeling extremely satisfied with the reaction he got from his nephew. Now his nephew will do the rest by himself.
Duryodhana didn't know whom to believe and whom not to. One side his mamashree whom he respects and the other side his wife whom he love more than anything in this world. His heart and mind seemed to have their own thinking power. His heart supported his wife while his mind supported his mamashree.
Maybe his mamashree must have misunderstood the whole situvation. For once he decided he will not jump into conclusions before talking to Nandha. She is his wife and his heart seemed to be hundred percent sure that she is innocent. He for once wished his heart to be right.
"Arya." Nandha's voice brought him out of his thoughts.

UPDATES TUES/THURS after chapter 5 Cover art by Tumblr User: @pigeon-princess This book features characters that are related to in many ways to my other novel "Grimoire". While both stories are their own stand alone series, Sun God's Corruption will add a good amount of depth to Grimoire, and Grimoire shows the unfoldings of the world that will eventually come from the events in Sun God's Corruption. I reccomend reading them both interchangably.
