《Love Returns (Blake/You) ✔️》Chapter 13

Last night with Blake and our friends was something I really needed. All the laughs and pointless conversations we shared took my mind off of my big game.
I honestly don't know why I'm so nervous. I've never been nervous for any of my games. Maybe it's because I know this could possibly be my last season of playing basketball. Or maybe it's because the girl I'm in love with will watch me play for the first time.
Either way I'm nervous, and my teammates have taken notice.
"Y/LN, you good?"
"Yeah." I say and Sam nods her head at me before walking out of the locker room.
I shake my head as I try to clear my thoughts as I tie my shoelaces. I stand and grab my headphones so I can listen to my music while I warm up before the game.
I head out to the court and grab a ball. I start to shoot around taking shots all over the floor. Even with the nerves, I'm sinking every shot.
I've developed a good sweat as my teammates help me get ready for the game by passing me the ball and contesting my shots. I decide that I should test my legs out before the game and I tell Sam to throw me a lob.
I take off towards the basket in a full sprint when I watch Sam release the ball from her hands. I jump, using all my momentum and catch the ball in my hands. I slam the ball through the rim as I hang on it for a few seconds before dropping to my feet.
My teammates are cheering me on as they give me high fives and pats on the back. As I raise my head my eyes connect with a pair of shocked blue ones. Her mouth hangs slightly open as she stares at me. I can't help but give her a genuine smile as I jog towards her.
"Hey baby." I softly say as I dip my head down and attach our lips together in a sweet kiss. When I pull back Blake still looks at me in a daze.
"You really were being humble with me." I raise an eyebrow at her confused until she places her hands on my toned stomach that's covered by my Nike fit sleeveless shirt.
"About how good you are at basketball." She says and I shake my head with a small smile.
"I'm not that good." I say as I look down and the girl scoffs.
"Baby you just dunked." She says causing me to chuckle along with herself.
I look around and notice that my teammates are still warming up but people are starting to fill up the gym.
"Come on." I gently take her hand within my own as I lead us through the side gym doors and towards the locker room.
But we don't go to the locker room, I lead her down a side hallway so it can just be the two of us without prying eyes.
I lean back against the brick wall and she stands in front of me as I lean my head back.
"Baby what's wrong?" She asks as she closes the space between us. Her hands caress my face as she makes me look into her eyes.

"I'm just nervous." I say causing the girl to smile and shake her head
"You didn't look nervous." She says making me chuckle softly.
"Well I am."
"Well don't be." She pushes back as her hands move to rest on my chest.
"You're going to be great."
"How do you know that?"
"Because I'm here." She says with a flirty smile that makes me smile brightly. I nod my head agreeing with her as I dip my head down and capture her plump lips within my own.
The two of us stand in the hallway next to the locker room making out. Her hands rest on my chest as mine find her hips. My fingers run against the fabric of her tight skinny jeans and I can't help but want to grab her ass.
But I don't, because I don't want to make her feel uncomfortable in public.
She pulls away too quickly for my licking and I try to kiss her again but she stops me with a giggle along with her hands pressing against my chest.
"As much as I'd love for this to continue, you have a game to play." She softly says as she looks at me with warm eyes. I nod my head knowing she's right and she pulls me back into a quick kiss.
"Good luck baby." She whispers before walking back down the hallway and towards the gym. I shake my head as I take a deep breath and head towards the locker room.
I quickly get ready by pulling on my game shorts and jersey. I find my warmup long sleeved shirt and pull it over my head before making sure I was ready.
The other girls come in and get ready quickly before Coach comes in.
Coach eventually enters and gives us a pep talk before the game. Once he's finished with his speech we all begin to head towards the gym. We make a line as we wait for our music to play. The other teams runs out first leaving us last because we're the home team.
Our music starts and the lights turn off. A spotlight shines and my teammates start to make their way out. I'm the last one into the gym and I follow my teammates to center court. We huddle up and do a break before we get in layup lines. The lights come back on and the music continues to play as we warm up.
I get the ball and dribble to the hoop. I lay the ball in the hoop and slap the backboard afterwards. I move to get myself stretched out and my eyes start to wander the gym.
I spot my parents first. They sit at the top of the bleachers with proud smiles on their faces. Both of my brothers sit below them and I laugh as I watch them stuff their faces with hotdogs.
My eyes roam the bleachers once again and I spot the students from my school all standing in the student section. My twin sister is standing in the front row but her face is shoved into her phone.
I continue to look around the gym until my eyes land on my friends all sitting on the front row of bleachers. Blake is sitting next to Megan with Aspen on the opposite side. She's already looking at me and the two of us exchange smiles.

I get back to wanting up and soon doing the buzzer sound signaling the games about to start. They announce the opposing team first and then the lights shut off again. A spotlight shines on my teams as music begins to play.
The announcer names for our bench players first before announcing the starting five.
I'm left last and when my name gets called the light hits me as I slap my teammates awaiting hands. I strip off my warmup shirt and make my way towards center court. I line up right behind our center who is going to try and win the tip. My eyes meet Blake's and I feel this wave hit me as I do.
The whistle blows and the game starts. The ball gets tipped to me and I bring it down the floor. I go to work attacking the basket and laying the ball through the hoop.
This goes on all night long. They can't stop me in the paint and I continue to destroy them on both ends of the floor. It doesn't matter what I do, they can't guard me. I've even hit a few three pointers and it's increased our lead by double digits.
And I end the game with a dunk making the crowd go crazy.
We shake hands with the opposing team and head back to the locker room. Coach gives us a small talk before telling us to go home and get rest.
"There's a party at Jason's house tonight. Are you coming, the whole teams going." Sam asks and I shrug my shoulders.
"I'm not sure, I'll let you know though." I say and I finish stripping off my sweaty clothes. I pull on a pair of gray sweats along with a sweatshirt.
I grab my bag and leave the locker room. I head into the gym and begin to look for my people.
I spot them all together. My mom is talking to Blake and it makes me smile seeing how they've developed a relationship.
I begin to walk towards them all and my brothers take notice of me first. The two pull me into a hug as they playfully push me between the two of them.
"Theirs our superstar." I hear my dad say and I shake my head.
"You played amazing honey." I hear my mother say and my brothers finally let me go.
"Thanks Ma."
"I'll let you be with your friends. I'll see you at home." She says as she pulls me into a hug. But she doesn't leave before giving my girl a hug. I watch my parents along with my brothers walk off.
"I've never seen anyone dunk like that before!" Alexis says causing me to chuckle.
"Thanks."
"You had a great game Y/N." Jordana says and the others all agree.
"My best friend is gonna be a division one athlete." Dylan says wrapping his arm around my neck.
"I don't know about that." I say and Colton wraps his arm around Aspen.
"I bet that dunk will end up on sportscenter." Colton says and I just shake my head.
"Y/N." We all turn our heads to see my twin sister with her friends. She gives Aspen a dirty look before meeting my eyes.
"Yeah Ali?"
"Can you give us a ride home from the party tonight?"
"I'm not going to the party."
"Your whole team is going, how are you not going to go!?" She says with an attitude.
"I don't know, maybe because I'd rather hangout with my friends than get drunk."
"More like you'd rather chase Raleigh Academy's number one slut and her plastic barbies."
"Excuse me!?" Megan says as she raises her voice and takes a step towards my sister. But Cara grabs her and pulls her back.
"Alison, enough with this shit." I say with a raised voice and this surprises everyone including my sister. I'm not the type to raise my voice so this is a shock to everyone including my sister.
"I'm tired of you disrespecting my girlfriend and making rude ass remarks. I'm don't with it. I love her and you need to learn to accept her and her friends because they're not going anywhere anytime soon."
Everyone is silent and I watch my twin sister storm off. I turn back to my friends who all have shitty ass grins on their faces along with the girls.
"What?"
"You just declared your love to Blake in front of all of us." Thomas says with a genuine smile and I shake my head as my cheeks start to heat up.
"Aww she's definitely a keeper B." I hear Aspen say and I turn to meet my girlfriend's loving gaze.
Blake grabs me by the collar of my sweatshirt and she pulls me down into a passionate kiss that leaves my head dizzy. Our friends are whistling and cheering us on and I can't help but smile into the kiss, causing our lips to break apart.
"I love you too." She whispers and I dip my head down kissing her lips again because I'm addicted to them.
"Let's go to the party." Dylan says, causing us all to look at him.
"Fuck Alison and her crew of evil minions. Let's go and have a good ass time celebrating Y/Ns win." Dylan says as he looks at all of us.
"I'm down." Thomas says as his hand holds Jordanas.
"Metoo." Colton says as he kisses Apsens head.
"Let's get fucked up!" Cara yells causing us all to chuckle.
"You girls down?" Dylan asks and they all exchange looks and nod their heads yes.
"You my ladies are about to have your first experience at a Raleigh High Party." Dylan says with a smirk and I already know what's to come.
No one throws a party like the kids at my school. These girls are going to be in for a wild ride.
