《Love Returns (Blake/You) ✔️》Chapter 7

It's been a month since I last saw Blake. The two of us try to text as much as possible but somewhere along the way we lost touch.
I've tried to text her, but my texts go unanswered. I'm starting to think that maybe all she saw us as was a summer fling. Even though her words echo through my head about how she wanted more, I can't help but notice her actions speak differently.
"Come on Y/N, come to the game tonight with us." Cara says as she walks by my side as we exit the school building.
"I can't, I promised my Dad I'd help him out tonight with his newest project."
"Well if you get out of it, text me and we'll go to the game together." Cara says as she pats me on the shoulder before disappearing to her car.
I shake my head as I climb into my car and I throw my bag on the passenger seat. I pull out of the parking lot and head home. Once I pull into the driveway I park my car and head inside. I head straight for my room and throw my backpack on the ground. I change into a pair of work jeans along with a white t-shirt.
I leave my room and walk downstairs into the kitchen to grab something to snack on. As I enter I spot dad looking in the fridge himself.
"Hey kid." He says as he turns to face me.
"Hey Dad." I say as he pats me on the shoulder before turning back to the fridge.
"Looking for something to snack on until dinner too?" He asks and I nod my head.
"Yeah, do you know what time Mom's gonna be home tonight?"
"I don't think she will be in until late. She had to meet with one last client. So it's safe to say she will probably bring pizza home." My dad says as he pulls away from the fridge with an apple in his mouth. I shake my head and chuckle as I move past him to grab one for myself.
The two of us head outside and into the garage. I lift up the bay door and the newest project sits in the same spot that we left it.
We finish our apples and toss them in the nearby trash can before getting to work.
I honestly have no idea what the time is because we've been so wrapped up in this car. I do know it's dark so it's gotta be late.
"Honey, I'm home." I hear my mother's voice echo through the garage. Right now I'm underneath the car but I watch my fathers feet walk towards hers.
"How was work?" He softly asks and I hear what sounds like a kissing noise.
"Stressful. But I brought dinner home with me." She softly says and I hear her release a sigh.
"Y/N I'm gonna head inside with your Mom. I'll be back." He says and I say a small okay. I can tell by the tone of my mother's voice she's stressed out and possibly something went wrong today at work.
I get back to working on the car and by the time I get out from underneath it I realize a few more hours have passed by.
I hope everything's okay with my mom.
My phone ringing grabs my attention and I grab a towel and wipe my hands clean before pulling it out.

I see my twins name appear on my phone and I answer.
"Hello?"
"Y/N!!! I neeeed you to come get me!" She slurs as I hear loud music in the background.
"Send me your location Ali." I say before hanging up the phone. I shake my head knowing she does this all the time.
Don't get me wrong I love my twin sister, but I wish sometimes that she would be the sister I once knew.
I head inside the house and my parents are nowhere in sight. Which is a good thing because if they found out where I was going they'd probably be upset.
I get to the kitchen sink and I wash my hands before moving to grab my keys.
I head back out the door and climb into my Chevelle. I open my phone to see Ali did indeed send me here location.
I crease my eyebrows immediately as I see that she's in the rich neighborhood.
Why is she there?
I start up my car and take off towards the address. It takes me about twenty five minutes to arrive. And when I do my eyes widen at the house. It's got cars lined up in the driveway and along the road. It's huge and you can tell someone with money lives here.
I find a place to park and get out of my car. I stuff my hands inside my pockets as I slowly walk towards the front door. I raise my hand to ring the doorbell, but the door opens as a couple of drunk teenagers pass me. I take that as my sign to just go ahead and step inside.
As I do I feel like I'm at one of those parties that you see in the movies. People are dancing, drinking, playing drinking games, making out, smoking weed, stuffing their faces, anything you could think of at a party is here.
I step inside and I immediately feel out of place. Almost every person here is wearing designer clothing. People turn to look at me as I pass by them and I get the most disgusted looks. I guess I should have changed my clothes before coming to get Ali.
As I pass through the back door and get to the backyard my mouth drops once again. People are swimming in an in-ground pool, people are in the hot tub, and there's some people sitting around a fire.
I go back to trying to find my sister and I finally spot her along with her friends.
"Alison!" I yell as I get closer to her. I see a guy draped all over her and I know she's not in her right mind.
"Ali." I yell again as I finally grab her hand. I try to pull her away from this guy but his grip only tightens on her.
"Get out of here. She's mine." He slurs and I can't help but get pissed off that this guy won't let my sister go.
"She's my sister so get the fuck off of her." I yell as I pull him off of her. The guy takes a swing at me but I dodge it easily and swing my fist back before connecting it with his face. The guy falls back into a table, making a loud crashing noise.
All eyes are on us now and I move to grab my sister.

"Are you okay?" I ask and she nods her head even though she's completely trashed.
"Let's go home." I say and I tell her friends to come on. They follow me and as I have my arm wrapped around my sister I happen to look up and I freeze.
"Blake." I whisper out as I watch her laugh at something a guy says to her. That smile, those eyes, I'd remember them a hundred years from now.
He bends down to whisper something else into her ear as he almost has her pressed up against a wall.
Just as he does that her eyes flicker up and she spots me. Shock is evident on her face and I tear my eyes away from her.
"Let's go." I say again as I lead the group of girls out front to my car. Alison's friends begin to pile into the back and just as I get the front seat put back I hear her.
"Y/N!" She yells and I try to get my very drunk sister into the passenger seat.
"Y/N wait!" She yells as she gets right by my side.
I look at Blake with one arm wrapped around my sister who can barely stand up.
"What are you doing here, wait it's obvious what you're doing here." She rambles and I watch her push her hair back as she looks at me with panic.
"I need to get them home Blake." I say as I turn to try and get my twin into the front seat. I manage to get her in and I shut the door. I turn around to see Blake still standing beside me.
"I missed you." She says as she takes a step towards me and I hang my head. I feel her hands touch my arms but I can't help but get jealous as I remember the guy she was just entertaining.
"Are you sure? It didn't really look like it." I say as I pull her hands away from me. I raise my head to see her sad eyes looking at me as she pulls her bottom lip between her teeth.
"It wasn't what it looked like.."
"So that guy wasn't flirting with you?" I ask and she looks down sadly. I run a hand through my hair before sighing heavily.
"If you didn't want to do this anymore all you had to do was tell me." I say sadly as I move to get in my car. But I feel her hand grab my arm, stopping me.
"I do want this. But we never clarified what this is Y/N, do you see my confusion?" Blake says and I sigh knowing that she's right. It's not like we were official and it's partly my fault.
"So what do you want to do Blake?" I ask as I stare at the beautiful blonde who's managed to get a grip on my heart.
I watch her take a step towards me and I feel her hand take mine within it.
"I want you to take me out on a date. Just the two of us." She softly says as her eyes look into my own.
I sigh and run my free hand through my hair before licking my lips.
"Why did you stop texting me back?" I ask thinking about the number one thing on my mind. I watch her drop her head sadly before meeting my eyes again.
"Between cheerleading, my tutor lessons, and my fathers internship for his company I've been busy." I shake my head as I go to pull away but she stops me once again.
"I was scared okay?"
I turn to face the girl who looks at me with so much vulnerability.
"We had only known each other for a week and I was feeling things I've never felt before. The more we talked the stronger the feelings got. I've never loved anyone Y/N, and no one has ever loved me." She says and my heart literally breaks as I watch tears form in her eyes.
"It was becoming overwhelming and I didn't know what to do. I don't have supportive parents like you do." She says as the first tear falls.
I take a step forward closing the space between us. I let go of her hand and bring my hands up to cup her face. I brush the pads of my thumbs against her cheeks as I wipe the tears away.
"Do you like that guy?" I ask referring to the guy who was hanging all over her.
"No, he was just a distraction." She says and I see nothing but honesty within her eyes.
"You don't have to be scared." I whisper as I stare lovingly into her eyes.
"I'm not going to hurt you."
"Those feelings you have are good feelings, don't push them away." I whisper as I dip my head down and capture her lips within my own. This kiss is completely different than the ones we've shared before.
I can feel her opening up to me and allowing me in.
"I wish you didn't have to go." She whispers as we break the kiss.
"Me either." I whisper back as I brush my nose softly against hers.
"Can I come with you?" She asks and I'm surprised by her question.
"You want to come with me?" I ask and she nods her head yes as her hands find the bottom of my shirt.
"Did you drive?" I ask and she shakes her head no.
"I had my driver drop me off."
"Your driver?" I ask with raised eyebrows and she looks down biting her bottom lip as she nods her head yes.
They really must have some money.
"Yeah, I'm sure we can make room." I softly say as I turn back to my car. I spot my sister completely passed out in the front seat. I know her two friends have to be knocked out too.
"Do you mind riding in the backseat?" I ask and Blake shakes her head no.
I grab her hand within mine and I lead her towards my car. I open the drivers door and pull up the seat so she can get in. I can't help but chuckle as I spot Alison's friends cuddled up behind her seat. Blake climbs into the open seat and I place the seat back. I climb in and start the car.
But before I pull out my eyes look in the rear view mirror and our eyes meet.
I definitely wasn't expecting this tonight.
