《Love Returns (Blake/You) ✔️》Chapter 6

This has been one of the best summer vacations of my life. I've spent every day with Blake. Whether spending our days at the beach or going on little dates all over town I can honestly say I'm falling in love with this girl. Who knew that you could fall for someone in such a short amount of time.

Tonight me and the guys are throwing a party since our summer of partying is almost over. After tonight we'll be leaving tomorrow night to head home. So I'm going to make my last days with her something to remember.

"I can't believe our summer is coming to an end." Thomas says as we carry the keg out to the beach.

"This has been a week to remember that's for sure." Cara says with a dreamy sigh.

"Damn, you're already whipped." Dylan says and Cara throws a beach ball at him.

"Not as bad as Y/N." Colton says with a smirk. I just shake my head as we finish getting everything set up for tonight.

And before we know it people are piling into our beach house.

I'm standing off to the side with a beer in my hand as I listen to Dylan talk about Alexis nonstop. He's such an idiot sometimes and I can't help but chuckle.

I hear a bunch of people whistling and the two of us turn our heads to see Blake and her friends walking into the party. Guys are looking them all up and down and it makes me laugh as they brush past them all.

My eyes can't help but take in what Blake's wearing. She looks absolutely breathtaking. She's wearing a green top that hangs off her shoulders along with a pair of Jean shorts that hug her in all the right places.

I watch as her eyes search through the yard until they land on me. I watch a smile form on her lips as her eyes shine at me. She begins to walk to me through the crowd and once she reaches me she jumps into my arms. I catch her just in time as her hands wrap around my neck, her hands bury themselves in my hair and our lips meet in a passionate kiss.

I can't help but groan into the kiss as her fingers work through my hair. Everyone is whistling and cheering and we eventually pull apart with smiles plastered on our faces. I shake my head and the two of us giggle as I set her back on the ground. Her hands rest on my chest as mine rest on her hips.

"I'm so happy to see you." She softly says and I lean down capturing her lips within mine for a soft kiss.

"How are you?" I ask and her eyes shine as she looks up at me.

"I'm great, thanks to you." She whispers as her hands drag down my arms and into my hands. I hold my hands within hers as we share this intense eye contact.

"Let's go have some fun." I whisper before giving her a kiss on the cheek.

The two of us venture off through the party as we hangout with our friends as a group. We talked, laughed, drank, and danced the night away. Even if our house was full of people we didn't honestly know, having the girls here makes it another night to remember.

As I sit here with Blake snuggled into my side I can't help but think about how I don't want this to end. I want to continue getting to know the girl on a deeper level. I don't want this to just be a summer fling.

"What's got you so lost in your thoughts?" She asks as she rests her head against my arm. I move it and wrap it around her, pulling her closer into me.

"You." I say with all honesty and Blake turns her head slightly so our eyes can meet. Her eyes shine and I can see the anticipation and wonder swirl around.

"What about me?" She asks and I lick my lips as I feel my heart race.

"I was just thinking about how I don't want this to end." I say putting emphasis on the word this as I take her hand within my free one.

"I don't either." She says and I can hear the sincerity within her voice.

"Then let's not let it." I say causing her eyebrows to crease together as she brings her lips together in confusion.

"We live in the same city. We may go to two different schools, but I'm sure we can make this work." A smile quickly appears on her lips as she looks at me.

"Let's do it." She says with so much determination and I can't help but dip my head down and attach our lips together in a sweet kiss.

"Oh god, would you two get a room already?" Cara says and we pull away laughing softly as our foreheads rest together.

"No need to be jealous baby." Megan says, causing my mouth to drop and eyes widen as she plops herself down in Caras lap. Their lips soon meet in a heated kiss causing everyone to look at each other in surprise.

I think Cara finally found someone who can keep up with her.

"Damn." Dylan says, causing Alexis to slap him on the arm.

"So are you guys an official thing then?" Dylan asks and the two continue to make out as Megan holds up a finger making me chuckle along with Blake.

They eventually pull apart and the two turn to look at him.

"Wasn't that enough of an answer?" Megan says as her hand cups Caras jawline. I watch Dylan visibly gulp and nod his head. I can't help but laugh because the guy is completely scared of her.

"What are you laughing for? Last I heard you still haven't made it official with my bestie." Megan says, making me stop laughing instantly as her fierce eyes stare at me.

"Meg." Blake says as she gives her best friend a pointed look.

Megan just rolls her eyes before sitting back in Caras lap.

"It sucks that this is our last night together." Colton says and I nod my head with my friend because I couldn't agree more.

"We'll all have to hang out when we head back home." Jordana says as she snuggles closer to Thomas.

"Cheerleading is going to be in full swing so it's going to be hard." Aspen says as Colton wraps an arm around her.

"And football starts for us." Dylan says as he rests a hand on Alexis's leg.

"We'll figure out something. This can't be the end." Aspen says as her hand rests on Colton's leg.

As I look around our group of friends I can only hope that we can stay in contact. That once the summer ends, things won't change. But I can only hope for the best.

It's our last day here at the beach and I've already packed up my bags. I plan on spending the whole day with Blake because I honestly have no idea when we will see each other again.

As I pull into their driveway I notice the girls are loading their bags into their vehicles already. I frown in confusion as I approach them.

"I thought you guys weren't leaving until tonight?" I ask Alexis who throws her bag in the trunk.

"We weren't supposed to, but Blake got a call from her dad."

I hear the door open and my eyes move towards it to see the girl I've managed to fall in love with in a week.

"Y/N!" She says my name with relief as she runs towards me. I catch her in my arms just in time. Her arms wrap around my neck as she holds me closely. My arms wrap around her slim waist as I pull her into me.

"What's wrong?" I ask and she pulls away looking at me with sad eyes.

"My Dads making me come home early because our school starts tomorrow morning." She says as her eyes drop.

"It's okay.."

"It's not, we were supposed to have one more day together." She softly says as a frown forms on her lips.

"It's going to be okay." I softly say as my hands cup her face. I brush the pads of my thumbs against her cheeks as I try to reassure her.

"You promise?" She asks and I nod my head before dipping my head down and capturing her lips within my own. This kiss is different. I can feel the desperation in it as we both only hope we can make whatever this is work.

Saying goodbye to Blake definitely hit me hard. I didn't expect to come on this summer vacation and fall in love with a girl, who by the way is out of my league.

We've been texting nonstop since she left besides when I had to drive home.

As I pull into my driveway I notice everyone is here for Sunday dinner. I park my car and grab my bags before heading inside.

When I enter the house I can hear my brothers along with my dad in the living room yelling at the tv. Sounds like a football game is on. I head to my room first and I drop my bags on the floor. As I walk downstairs I pull out my phone and see a few messages from Blake.

I can't help but smile as I read her messages. I make it to the bottom of the stairs. I begin to walk towards the kitchen as I reply back to her.

💙

"Y/N, honey I'm glad your home!" I hear my mother's voice and as I look up she's already walking around the kitchen counter to hug me. She kisses my cheek as she runs a hand through my curls.

"Did you have a good time?" She asks as she walks back to finish cooking dinner.

"Yeah, the guys and I had a great time." I say as I wait for Blake to text me back.

"Your sister came home the other night in quite the mood." She says and I can't stop smiling as I see another text from Blake.

🦋🥰❤️

"Who's got you so smiley?" I hear my mother's voice and I look up to see her coming to the counter to stand across from me. A smile graces her lips as she looks at me.

"It's probably the blonde bimbo from the bar." I frown instantly and turn around to see my twin sister walking into the kitchen. Her hair is pulled up into a messy bun on her head as she wears sweats along with a t-shirt.

"You don't even know her Ali."

"Neither do you!"

"You're just mad because Colton's done playing your games!"

"Enough!" Our mother yells causing us both to shut up instantly.

"Alison, your father and I raised you better than to judge someone." My mother scolds her and Ali just rolls her eyes. I watch my twin leave the kitchen and disappear out the door leaving.

"What's her name?"

I look up to see my mom looking at me with a smile as she finishes preparing dinner.

"Blake." I say and my mother's smile widens.

"The way you just said her name makes it sound like you're in love."

"Ma, I just met her. We only spent one week together." I say and my mother shakes her head as she laughs softly.

"You do realize it was only a week after I met your father that he told me he loved me." She says and I raise my eyebrows in surprise because I never heard this part of their story.

"I didn't know that."

"Love doesn't have any warning signs. And it happens when you least expect it. Love has no time limit, there's no right or wrong time when it comes to falling in love. It just happens. You can embrace it or run from it. No one can tell you how or when to love someone. When you know, you just know."

As I sit across from my mother I can only let her words sink in deeply.

Am I really in love with Blake?
