The sweet voice of Tamia plays as Thembi organizes the pantry. She initially wanted to get some cereal but after seeing the state of the pantry she had to do a bit of organizing. She sways to the music, feeling every lyric not knowing that her husband is watching her, completely mesmerized by her. He quietly closes the gap between them and wraps his arms around her from behind, startling her.

"You scared me"

"There's only two of us"

"I know but I wasn't expecting you to do that"

"I'm sorry babe, I hope I didn't interrupt the concert you were having" he jokes

"I was having a blast until you decided to scare me"

"I didn't mean to scare you, I came downstairs looking for you so I could tell you that I'm heading out"

"Where are you going?"

"Darren called for a breakfast meeting so that's where I'm heading"

"I thought we were going out for breakfast then shopping for the baby later"

"I know but it's urgent. I'll be done in an hour or an hour and a half tops so we'll be able to go shopping"

"Alright, I guess I'll see you later" she says with a slight attitude

"What's with the attitude? I told you that I'll be done in time for us to get stuff for the baby"

"I know but we were supposed to have breakfast together for the first time in over a week. You were gone for a week and this was supposed to be time for us without any distractions"

"I know babe and I feel terrible for canceling on half our plans but I have to go to this meeting"

"Okay"

"I'll see you soon babe. I love you two" he rubs her belly

When their lips meet, it's magical as usual. She wraps her hands around his neck and he picks her up by her thighs, causing her to wrap her legs around his waist. He walks over to the counter and places her on top before he unties her robe without her even realizing it. The robe reveals her perky breasts that have doubled in size over the last six months. She may have had a little attitude not too long ago but the way he is kissing her makes her forget all about that. His hand goes south and starts playing with her freshly waxed center and he almost says 'fuck the meeting' but he remembers how important it is

"Why did you stop?" She asks breathlessly

"I have to go"

"Nessa sent me a text asking me if I was free so we could get mani pedis at her beauty bar"

"Who's Nessa?"

"She's the girl I told you I met at the networking event last year. We hit it off and we've been texting for some time now so we're meeting today since I'm free this morning"

"Okay, laters baby" Kofi says making his wife chuckle

"Since when did you start saying that"

"I wanted to try something different"

"Yeah, don't do that"

"I'll catch you later" he grabs his laptop and heads out, leaving Thembi to finish organizing the pantry.

She texts Nessa who suggests they meet at eleven o'clock. She does a bit of cleaning before she starts getting ready to go out. She doesn't feel like dressing up today because it's just one of those things so she grabs a graphic t-shirt, leggings, adidas slides and calls it a day. Her natural hair is out today so she grabs an afro pick to add a little volume to her twist out and when she's done, she heads out.

Walking into Nailed It, she doesn't know what to expect because this is her first time being in the beauty bar but she is definitely impressed. Nessa clearly undersold her beauty bar because this place is amazing. She walks up to the receptionist who looks up from the computer and gives her a smile.

"Good morning. Welcome to Nailed It. Do you have an appointment?"

"I have an appointment with Nessa"

"You must be Thembisa"

"That's me"

"You can take a seat while I go get her"

"Okay, thanks"

A few moments later, Nessa walks out from the back dressed in a blue, mini chiffon dress. Nessa is the kind of woman that doesn't have to do too much to be seen, her natural beauty speaks for itself. That among other things is the reason why Thembi found herself gravitating towards the young lady and all she can do is hope that she remains this genuine because she's had her fair share of betrayals.

"Hey mama" Nessa embraces her friend

"Hey Nessa"

"Can I touch your belly?"

"Yeah"

"You're getting big mama but you look great nonetheless. There's just something about you that is glowy"

"My husband is always telling me about the same glow you're talking about and I can't help but feel like he's saying that because I'm his wife"

"He's right, you have this radiance that is absolutely amazing"

"Thank you. How are you friend? We haven't spoken in a while"

"I know and that's why I invited you out but I'm great"

"You look great and the this place looks amazing"

"Thank you. Before I forget, my man loved the pieces you recommended"

"I told you so, how do you think I got in this predicament" Thembi jokes as she rubs her belly.

"I see that, what would you like to get?"

"Simple, short nails"

"Okay, Lewis should be here any moment to do your nails but in the meantime we can sit and chat"

Two hours later

"How much is it for the manicure and the pedicure?"

"You don't have to pay, it's on the house"

"Oh no sweetie, there's no way I am going to walk out without paying because you're my friend. How much is it?"

"$120"

"I'll be sure to tell everyone about this place" she tells Nessa as she hands her the cash

"That would be so nice of you babe"

"It's no biggie. I should get going now because Kofi just texted me telling me that his meeting will be done soon"

"Oh okay, what are you guys getting up to?"

"We're going to do some shopping for baby girl. He always complains whenever we go shopping because he says I take forever so I want to get there earlier so I have a little bit more time to look at things"

"My man says the same thing but that's how we are whenever we do shopping. They just have to suck it up"

"Exactly! I'll talk to you later friend"

"Okay, bye mama"

She gets to the mall and it's packed as hell. She probably went around six times looking for a parking spot and by the time she walks into the mall, she is slightly annoyed. She walks into Bambino's and she already knows that she's going to be in there for a long time

"Hey beautiful, where are you?"

"I'm in Bambino's"

"Where's that?"

"It's in the same line with Zara"

"Alright. I'll be there shortly, I'm just looking for parking"

"Okay"

Minutes later, he steps into the store and spots his wife in the back

"Hi babe" he hugs her from behind and startles her a little

"What's up with you and scaring me today?"

"I'm sorry babe. How long have you been in here?"

"Maybe twenty or twenty five minutes. How was the meeting?"

"It went great. Did you have fun with your friend?"

"Yeah, I finally got my nails done after two weeks" she flaunts her nails in his face

"They look great and they'll feel even better scratching my back" he tells her making her laugh

"Only you would say such"

Thembi picks things up that she finds cute and shows Kofi who nods his head and agrees so that they get out of the shop as soon as possible because he hates shopping. Four stores later, they decide to take a break and have lunch. As they are waiting for their pizza, in walks someone who instantly ruins her mood. She keeps her eyes glued to her phone, hoping that he won't notice her but it's too late

"Look who we have here"

"What do you want Matthieu?"

"I just came to say hi"

"Okay thanks"

"You're acting mad hostile for a person that I have been sending flowers to for months now"

"Thembisa what is he talking?"

"Oh shit, she didn't tell you that I've been sending her flowers"

"Nigga shut the fuck up. What is he talking about?"

"I received more flowers after that other time but I honestly didn't know that they were from him"

"Wow"

"It looks like wifey hasn't been truthful"

"Nigga, no one asked for your input"

"Woah! You shouldn't be mad at me, you should be mad at your wife for not telling you everything. You're trying at all scary but I ain't scared of a pussy like you"

"What did you call me?" Kofi asks wanting to give Matthieu a chance to correct himself

"I said I'm not scared of pussies, I beat pussies up"

In a flash, Kofi has his hand wrapped around Matthieu's neck and he has him pinned to the wall. All Thembi does is plead with her husband not to do anything to her ex but he feels differently. He just wants fuck him up for thinking it's okay to send those flowers and thinking it's okay to speak to them the way he was. He really tried to keep his composure but this nigga kept on saying things to piss him off.

"Kofi please let him go"

"Nah, let him fight me so we see if he's a man or just a pussy" Matthieu spits

"Matthieu shut the fuck up"

"Babe please, you don't want to go to jail because of him. He isn't worth losing everything you have worked for"

"Nah, he keeps disrespecting us"

"I get that but don't give him that satisfaction. Please let go of him babe" she pleads and he lets go

Without another word, he walks out of the restaurant and leaves her with Matthieu who has a smug look.

"You're really a piece of shit"

"You're the one who should have been honest with him"

"I'm not talking about that, I'm talking about how you kept on antagonizing him"

"I only did that to make him mad as payback for him taking you from me"

"Are you even listening to yourself? I wasn't yours from the moment you decided to stick your penis in another woman so I don't get why you're still doing this stupid shit"

"I was wrong for doing that but I want you to know that I still want you"

"Matthieu just stop"

"I won't stop until I have you"

"I'm not up for grabs, I have a husband and I'll be having our baby soon"

"Please just..."

"No Matthieu you need to stop before one of you gets hurt and that person will most definitely be you"

She walks to the front where she gets her pizza since her ex chose to ruin lunch. She feels anxious as she drives home because she knows that she was wrong for keeping that from her husband and she knows that she is going to get hurricane Kofi. Her intention wasn't to hide this because she was doing something shady but she did it because she knows her husband and knows that he would have done something that would have landed him in trouble, for example, what almost happened at the restaurant.

Thembi finds her husbands car in the driveway and she heads upstairs hoping to find him there but she doesn't. She looks for him in every room and ends up finding him in the backyard with a blunt in his hand.

"You shouldn't be out here while I'm smoking this"

"I know but I want us to talk"

"We'll talk when I'm done, I need to calm down before we talk"

"Okay, I'll be in the living room"

She flips through the channels and ends up settling for Basketball Wives LA. Kofi joins her sometime later after having calmed down so they can finally speak and she knows he has a lot of questions

"I just want to start off by apologizing for not telling you that I had received flowers from my ex and the truth is I didn't know that he was the one sending them. I thought me keeping that from you would save you from doing something bad in the name of protecting me but I see how wrong I was"

"How many times did he send you flowers?"

"Three times including the time you know about. That's another reason why I didn't tell you. I figured that if I wasn't getting the flowers anymore, it wouldn't matter to tell you"

"But you're still supposed to tell me Thembisa. It doesn't matter if he sent flowers two others times, you should have let me know so I could have dealt with it"

"I hear you and I completely understand why you're upset"

"What I'm upset about the most is that he feels comfortable sending you shit even though you are married. That shit does not sit well with me. Guys like him will do the craziest things to get back whoever they feel is the one and that makes me uncomfortable because we don't know what lengths he is willing to go. I worry about your safety all the time and more so now that you're pregnant with our baby so it makes me feel uneasy knowing that he can just pop up anywhere and Lord knows what he'll do"

"I hear you"

"For your safety I think you should go to the police and file a restraining order. He has been harassing you since you broke up with him and you need to make sure you protect yourself"

"I agree and there's something I need to tell you"

"What is it?"

"When you left we talked for a bit and he told me how he was acting like a douchebag to get back at you for taking me from him. He also said he wants me back and won't stop until he has me"

"If I see him again I'm going to fuck him up. He got lucky today because of you and the fact that we were in that restaurant. Next time I'm not sparing him because he thinks this is a game"

"He isn't worth it babe. I know you want to fight him so bad but you'll be stooping to his level and you're above him"

"Yeah, well he needs to be taught not to mess with me or my family"

"Babe..."

"There's nothing you can say right now that will change my mind" he tells her as he gets up from the couch

"Kofi..." she calls out for him but he doesn't look back. All she can do is hope that he doesn't do something that will land him in serious trouble.
