Huang Dewei was deep in his disturbed and worried thoughts after his meeting with Wang Wei and Xin Ying as he entered inside his room. His gaze met with someone he was not excepting to be in his room at this time of night. Wang Lei was lying on his bed as he own it while he was reading a book. As Huang Dewei entered inside, Wang Lei looked up at him and sat down on the bed. The candle was lit in the room while the whole room was filled with its brightness. Wang Lei was looking magnificent sitting like an Emperor under the brightly shining light which had filled in the whole room.

'You are finally back...where were you at this time of night?' Wang Lei asked and Huang Dewei looked at him as he spoke coldly.

'I should be the one who should ask what are you doing here, your highness.' Wang Lei was taken back by his tone but he could not tell him that he was here because he misses him and wanted to see him

'I came to ask about your health. How it is now?' Wang Lei said giving the most decent excuse he could come up with and Huang Dewei looked at him who was sitting waiting for him patiently. Huang Dewei felt annoyed seeing that he had no idea that Xin Ying was pregnant.

'It is getting better.' Huang Dewei said without any emotion and Wang Lei was even more puzzled by his reaction.

'Come here to me.' Wang Lei called him gently as he patted the side of the bed next to him, but Huang Dewei walked passed him and he stopped in front of the mirror.

'I want to rest.' Huang Dewei said as he looked deep in thought, Wang Lei could see his shadow in the mirror. He looked sad and sorrowful. Wang Lei got up from the bed as he walked toward him and stood behind him.

'What happen? Tell me what is bothering you?' Wang Lei asked and Huang Dewei looked up at him from the mirror as their gaze met.

'Your father gave me money to leave and run away from here.' Huang Dewei confessed truthfully with burning rage inside him. He hurtful and pained looked towards Wang Lei through the mirror while analysing his expression. From his expression, he could tell he did not like what his father did either.

'I apologised on his behalf...That was a distasteful act from him.' Wang Lei said as he turned him around to face him while Huang Dewei looked at him

'But he is right that I am useless to you. What I can do for you when I am a male who can't provide you with children...maybe you should stop my concubine ceremony from happening. All I am good is for you to have sex with me and that's it.' Huang Dewei said sadly and Wang Lei got hold of his hand softly as he spoke up

'Do you think we would only share a sexual relationship, Huang Dewei?'

'Is I any other good for you other than spread my legs for you?' Huang Dewei said bitterly as he remembered the news of Xin Ying's pregnancy. How would Wang Lei react once he gets the news of Xin Ying being pregnant with his child? How long he would come to him once he would have his own family? Won't he forget about him once he would be busy with his children and wife? So many thoughts were running through his head.

'Why you are looking down on yourself Huang Dewei? Do you think all relationships only depend on whether their significant other can provide them with children? Relationships are more than sex and children. There is an emotional connection and support which people in a relationship provide to each other. Emotional needs are as important as physical needs are.' Wang Lei said tenderly while Huang Dewei was staring towards him.

'Is I the one who will fulfil your emotional needs as well and not just physical?' Huang Dewei asked in surprise and Wang Lei smiled in response

'Who else would? Why you are so stupid sometimes, Huang Dewei.' Wang Lei said as he lovingly looked at him.

'I don't get it why would you want emotional support from me when you already have women available for them? I don't get why you wanted me to be your concubine either?' Huang Dewei asked puzzled and confused. He felt his brain was about to explode due to Wang Lei's unknown and unclear feelings toward him.

'I don't know the answer to this either myself but all I know is I want you to stay by my side today, tomorrow and forever.' Wang Lei said sincerely as he tried to decrease Huang Dewei's worries to his best.

'Are you saying it's not just sexual attraction between us? Do you think it's not just lust?' Huang Dewei asked just to be sure and Wang Lei shook away his head

'Even if I am asked never to have sex with you I would still want you to stay with me.' Wang Lei answered truthfully and Huang Dewei sighed

'So even if you will get bored of me or you get yourself a family, would you still remember me and not throw me away?'Huang Dewei asked unconsciously revealing his fears and Wang Lei smiled as he shook away his head

'Both of these won't be possible anyway.' Wang Lei said and Huang Dewei just stares at him blankly. He could not even tell him that the second one was already true. He is going to have a family with Xin Ying soon. That was something Xin Ying should tell him so he did not say anything. It was her moment and he does not want to steal it when suddenly it started raining outside. The weather was bad since morning so it was not shocking that it started pouring late at the night. The window of his room was opened and Huang Dewei quickly walked towards the window and start closing it.

'Why are you closing it? Just leave it open. It's hot inside and it will get dark if you turn off the window.' Wang Lei stopped as he does not even understand why he run off to close the window in the middle of their conversation

'You don't like rain. ' Huang Dewei replied while closing the door and Wang Lei was surprised and was touched upon realising that he remembered what he told him. Wang Lei walked toward him and then pulled him into his arms and he hugged him. Huang Dewei was taken aback by his this sudden action

'You are definitely more than a sexual attraction and lust to me, Weiwei.' Wang Lei whispered said and Huang Dewei felt butterflies in his stomach with his confession as he sighed and spoke up

'Then you need to give me a promise to me.' Huang Dewei said as his insecurities were still grabbing their hold inside his brain

'What promise?' Wang Lei said as he tighten his grip

'That if you ever get tired of me and I am no use to you then instead of forgetting me and leaving him somewhere in the corner, you will let go of me.' Huang Dewei said and Wang Lei moved him away and looked at him stunned.

'No, I am never letting go of you.' Wang Lei denied his request straight away

'But why? That is your selfishness. Even now the mistresses you have which you feel nothing, you should let go of them and let them live their life.' Huang Dewei said as he moved away from little angry as Wang Lei stares at him and then sighed

'You know nothing Huang Dewei.'

'Then tell me.'

'Even if I wanted to let go of them they do not want to. Even if I do not give them my love, time or care, they still wanted to stay here because they get a lot more in this palace as my mistresses which they can never get outside. They all do not want to leave this money and power. Even if you don't believe me then go and ask them yourself. Why do you think everyone is as innocent as you.' Wang Lei said as he explained to him and Huang Dewei just stares at him.

'Then I am different. If you going to leave me like I am nothing after losing your interest I would like you to let go of me.' Huang Dewei said as he stubbornly stayed on his condition

'And let you be with someone else...I am not sharing you with anyone else...that's not possible.' Wang Lei said as he fumed with rage and Huang Dewei felt a little angry as well without realising his possessiveness about him. They both stares at each other.

'I promise you that I won't be with someone else...I just don't want to step on my pride after using me.' Huang Dewei replied as he promised him and Wang Lei sighed frustratedly

'But I won't throw you away after using you... I won't lose my interest in you and I will not forget about you. Why do you always think of me as worst.' Wang Lei asked helplessly as he closed his eyes to calm himself down.

'If you are confident that you won't throw me away then why you can't make a promise to me that you will leave me if you lost your interest? That is just for satisfaction. Can't you do this much for me?' Huang Dewei said and Wang Lei looked at him and then he gave up

'Fine, I gave you my promise. I will do whatever you want. I will let go of once I lost my interest.' Wang Lei said as he gave his promise. Huang Dewei nodded his head as he softly smile after getting what he wanted while Wang Lei moved and picked him up in his arms

'If you are done then let's go to sleep now.' Wang Lei said as he started walking towards the bed and Huang Dewei felt his heart jump inside his stomach because he was not ready that he would pick him up

'You don't have to pick me up.' Huang Dewei whispered said ashamed.

'Your feet are still in the healing process and you keep walking and running around. You should give them rest.' Wang Lei in a caring tone and Huang Dewei looked toward him then sighed as he said nothing in response. Wang Lei walked as he put Huang Dewei onto the bed as sat down next to him. Huang Dewei sat up and they both looked deep into each other eyes. Wang Lei looked towards him and then stares at him up and down as he spoke up
