' I need justice for the unfairness that happens to me, your highness. Your wife and mistress chopped my hair off because they said I am your whore. They did not even have proof and I denied having any sexual relationship with you, but they did not believe me. I did not spread my legs for you to please me. Hence, I don't deserve this humiliation and punishment. I need justice from you.' Huang Dewei said forwarding his complaint truthfully and the whole court burst into whispers. Wang Lei was shocked himself but then he was not. Aigue, the minister of education screamed replied. Aigue was also Chen Ju's father how he let some slave say shit about his daughter in front of him. He was glaring at Huang Dewei. 'Or you can offer him a high position. How about he becomes captain of the royal guard of the palace.' Another person offered a suggestion and they all nodded their head while Wang Lei thought for a while

'So everyone in this hall thinks that he only deserves their apology only if he is on their level. What if I give him equal status as them then?' Wang Lei said and everyone confused looked between each other even Huang Dewei was confused. He had no idea what Wang Lei was thinking. Wang Lei looked toward Huang Dewei as he continued speaking.

'The place of my third concubine (mistress) is empty which shall he will fulfil it now.' Wang Lei announced and everyone got shocked by his words while Huang Dewei felt his heart stop. He was shocked and stares at him whose expression was all calm.

Wang Lei said and everyone's attention went back to him. Nobody had no idea what he was talking about nor what he was thinking now. 'Go and get the scissors for me.' Wang Lei ordered and the slave nodded his head as he runoff. He came back with scissors and passed them down to him. Still, everyone was confused about what was going to happen as Wang Lei stood up from his chair

'And that is my punishment for causing an innocent man trouble because of me.' Wang Lei said as he got hold of his hair, put the knife on them and chopped them off. Everyone was shocked and stood up from their chair with his act. The royal court was filled with people's grasps and whispers. Nobody excepted him to take this extreme step as Wang Lei put away his cut hair on the table and looked toward shocked Huang Dewei.

Now his hair was shoulder length as well. Tears flow from Huang Dewei's eyes because he did not want that from him while Wang Lei softly smile at him. Huang dewei understood what was meaning behind that smile. That smile meant don't worry I am standing with you and Huang Dewei felt his heart melt.

'Your highness, what have you done?' some of the ministers asked shocked and Wang Lei looked towards him.

'Don't worry, this hair will grow back. However, I hope my nation would understand the meaning behind my this act. I wanted to tell my nation that I am standing up with them...and I won't let anyone look down on my poor nation whether they are poor or rich or male or female. I, Wang Lei, would make sure to rewrite the new history and the history the next generation would be proud of.' Wang Lei said in a strong and confident tone while wealthy elites frowned upon his words of putting poor and rich together while poor slaves were happy.

'I apologised...forgive me.' Huang Dewei apologised

'You suffered because of me...because of my messy relations with women in my life. Why are you apologising for it.' Wang Lei replied and Huang Dewei could not help and cry.

'But it's all my fault.' Huang Dewei whispered between his cry.

'Why you are so soft, Huang Dewei?' Wang Lei whispered said while softly smiling as he moved and hugged him.

'You did nothing wrong so don't overthink about it.' Wang Lei said as Huang Dewei hugged him back and kept crying. Wang Lei sighed and let him cry because he knew how hurtful he was over the whole situation. He was humiliated and that hurt his pride. After crying his heart out, Huang Dewei moved away and looked toward him.

'Are you sure that you won't regret your decision?' Huang Dewei asked referring to his decision of making him his third concubine and Wang Lei shook away his head

'No, I won't...trust me I definitely would never regret that decision.' Wang Lei replied as he cleaned off his tears and then got hold of his hand which was healed, but a mark was left. Wang Lei moved and softly kissed his hand and Huang Dewei's eyes widen but then he slowly closed his eyes as he felt his warm lips touching his skin and he felt peaceful inside him. He liked the feeling of his over him...and tonight something definitely changed between them...their relationship was changed and they could feel a sense of belonging to each other. Wang Lei moved away as they looked at each other and just warmly smile at each other.
