"Take Jake on up to bed now and retire early. Tomorrow is a bright new day, and I have a feeling you'll have a new outlook on everything. I'm proud of you Hudson, you've made the right choices."

"You're awfully chipper tonight, Mom." I said.

"Mother knows best, now go to bed." She said.

"Alright then, I won't guess what you've been drinking."

"Not funny son."

"Come on Jake, let's go to bed."

"Okay, do I get to see them tomorrow?" I told him about the twins, and he couldn't be happier.

"I'm not sure, buddy."

"Grandma said she's taking me to Aunt Chloe's first thing in the morning."

"She is?"

"Yeah, she said you probably have to work in the morning, but maybe you can take me to see them after work."

What is my mom on?

"I didn't know I was working tomorrow. I'm not sure what Grandma is planning. Now get some sleep." I tucked him in.

"Good night dad."

"Night Jake." I messed up his hair, then walked over and turned off his light.

"Open or shut tonight?

"Shut."

"Okay, see you tomorrow."

"Bye, dad."

I shut the door, then went to my room. I laid down on the bed and stared at the ceiling.

I know she needed time, but I haven't heard a whisper or seen my kids in weeks.

Knock, knock

I jumped out of bed. "What the hell?"

I walked over to my window, and my heart skipped a beat, then opened it. "Joey? What the hell are you doing?"

She climbed inside, and I helped her in.

"I told your mom I'd be over later." She said.

She straightened up and smiled at me.

"You can use the door," I said.

"What fun would that be?" She started walking around my room. "It looks exactly the same." She looked over my trophies."

I sat down on my chair, and watched her in amusement. "I presume it's the top right drawer?" She asked with a sly grin.

"As always."

She pulled out a pair and set them on my dresser, then went to my closet and pulled out some pants and a shirt. "What are you up to now?"

"Just checking out your room." She set the clothes in my underwear.

Then she started gathering things on my dresser.

"Seriously, what are you doing?"

She just looked at me, and showed me that beautiful smile.

"Nothing." She walked toward my closet, and pulled out my gym bag and started putting my stuff in it."

I laughed. "It's not a panty raid, but a full-on robbery?"

She set my bag down and walked over to me, then straddled my legs. "More like kidnapping." She reached for my hand and placed something in it.

She brushed her lips against mine, and its taking everything I have not to take her right now.

"You have one hour to decide the rest of your life." She stood up and lifted the window. "Jakes already taken care of, your mom agreed to keep him. You have one hour Hudson." She climbed back out the window, and I looked at what she put in my hand.

It's a hotel key, the same place we spent prom night.

Hell, I don't need an hour!

I finished packing and ran downstairs with my bag. "Bye, Mom!"

"Don't come back without her, Hudson! Oh and I'm never too old for more grandchildren."

"Jesus, Mom!"

I ran out the door and to my truck. I couldn't get my keys in the ignition fast enough. I have the hottest woman on earth, who happens to be the mother of my children waiting for me. I'm sure as hell not wasting any time.

I looked up, and saw Dad laughing at me from his window. I shook my head and finally got the truck started. I can't wipe the smile off my face. My life is finally what I want it to be.

I was so impatient. One town over, and forty-five minutes later, I finally see the hotel. I tapped my fingers on the steering wheel, as I waited for the red light to turn green.

As soon as it turned green, I gunned it and probably left half my tires on the pavement.

I didn't bother to grab my bag, but ran from my truck, then through the lobby. I looked at the key and saw the room number, pressed the elevator key several times, but it wouldn't come fast enough. The room is high enough up, the elevator is the best option, so I fought my urge to run up the stairs.

When it finally came, I paced the elevator car.

Ding

I rode the slow elevator, until the doors opened on the correct floor.

Finally! I ran to the room and fiddled with the key until it finally turned, but I wasn't prepared for what I found on the other side of the door. No man could ever be prepared enough for what graced these eyes.

Holy shit!
